  • In today’s session, we are going to discuss one of the best tanks on earth originated from France, the Leclerc Tank. If you don’t want to miss crucial information on this topic, stay with us until the end of this video.
The Leclerc main battle tank (MBT) is a 57-tonne tracked machine manufactured by Nexter Systems, a French state-owned weapons manufacturer (previously known as Giat Industries). It can fire arrows, explosives, and canisters in both stationary and mobile modes.
The MBT is in service with the French Army and the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces (UAE). In September 2001, the French Army placed the final order for 52 Leclerc tanks, bringing the total order to 406 tanks (plus 20 armored recovery vehicles). In October 2007, deliveries were completed. As of May 2021, the French Army possessed a fleet of 200 Leclerc tanks. The UAE ordered 390 tanks and 46 armored recovery vehicles (ARVs). The tanks and ARVs were delivered respectively in 2004 and 2008

I think in the event of a confrontation with Russia it will not be the French tanks that will be decisive but the french nuke bomb, planes and the tiger attack helicopters since the appearance of attack helicopters in the conflicts havy tanks are obselete, these are only big targets by the time your tank arrives on site the helicopters will have finished destroying at long distance all the opposing tanks welcome to the 21st century, if you want to be impressed watch videos of apache shooting available on youtube

France has always built the best or some of the best tanks in the world.
1- Nothing incredible, France invented and created the modern tanks.
Let's stop with this joke of the first tank that of the English in 1916, it was only a cannon mounted on motorized tracks surrounded by iron plates. Besides, the French had the same type of fake-tank before the English in 1915, it is just the old Anglo-Saxon propaganda in the field since 1945 which there also changed the history for its own false benefit (see for example the French fake-tank Schneider CA1).
The first real tank and ancestor of all current modern tanks is the French tank RENAULT FT17 in 1917.
The "Tank of Victory", because it is them the Renault FT17 that the French army launched in charges by the hundreds and hundreds from 1917 which will smash the German lines on the western front (the German newspapers of 1918 will even explain the defeat on the Western front because of the "Fear of tanks").
2- At the beginning of WW2 the best medium and heavy tanks in the world were not German or Russian but French.
The only technological fault of France, which was too busy with major internal social problems between 1935 and 1938, was to embark too late on preparing for the inevitable war given the aggressiveness of the Nazi and Fascist dictatorships, and at the start of WW2 its front-line tanks were not all equipped with radios.
But that's not what explains the defeat of the Franco-British in June 1940, but the very poor use of its very good tanks by the French general staff. He grouped them into small units to support the infantry against the huge German tank divisions which, allied with their aviation would allow them their Blitzkrieg.
It is said in France logically here, that blocked in 1918 when the French Army was the most powerful army in the world at the end of WW1, the French general staff had not been able to evolve and had been a war late at the beginning of WW2...
And France was not an island like England-UK and did not have time to catch up on its strategic mistakes at the start of WW2.
But if France had prepared in time and better, and had therefore not lost in June 1940 to fight until 1945, I would have liked to see the French tanks in 1945... They would have been monsters without problems at the level or even better than the German or Russian tanks.
It is therefore normal that once its freedom was regained in 1945 and its military industry rebuilt a little later, France began again to build very good tanks among the best or even the best in the world. The French have known how to make them for a long time, they are the ones who invented them.

Now due to German stubbornness and privilege Ukrainians are dying everyday because one commodity cannot be shut down overnight without destroying the EU economy. Merkel made this bed with Putin and she also gave China(CCP) much influence in Germany(EU). It is only a matter of time before people are forced by events to realize dealing with the CCP was a mistake. Tanks warfare is old fashioned the Javelins and NLAW are way to powerful and shoot the Leclerc in 1 hit KABOOM exit. Only a deflector shield like the are using in the movie Star wars could save the tank.

Each tank has its advantages and disadvantages, and the Russian tanks have disadvantages and advantages, and the American and Western tanks also have disadvantages and advantages, but the Russian tanks
It has a high maneuverability and is much better than the western one, while the western one is superior in the level of armor
In fact, tanks are not used to fight other tanks, but their main task is to penetrate the enemy's defenses, so it makes sense to compare their capabilities if we compare the characteristics of speed, maneuverability, transportability and the ability to withstand anti-tank ambushes. In this regard, the Soviet tank building took into account the experience of the World War The second, while the American and Western tanks did not do that, they are heavy and purely defensive tanks with a thick front armor completely isolated from the side and rear protrusions in the march
An example of this is the recent cemetery of Saudi tanks that were ambushed by Yemenis and with anti-tank weapons that are considered old, as well as the losses of the German Leopard tank used by Turkish forces in northern Syria

TBH tho the Russian tank advantages if we're talking T72s are the fact that they didnt cost anything but repairs and reactive armor upgrades. That would be like if France were to take its old AMX-30s out on the battlefield tomorrow

Actually germany doesn't maintain all the tank in line.
Like the plane they got, a lot are stocked and unable to figth.
Also germany only upgrade a few part of her forces. I remember have read somewhere on a military magazine that was speaking about tank tech and industrialisation that geramny only got 250 tank upgraded to the Last version.
And the number will go 📉 as germany don't use her money in her army.

Donc bon...

I have always said is the best MBT, all over tops posted on CZcams. But I also said is 3 times more expensive than M1 Abrams. And 3 Abrams / 1 Leclerc is not good at all.

    • @MrEricGuerin
      @MrEricGuerin Před rokem +4

Abram M1 : Estimated in 2016 as US $8.92 million (with inflation adjustment) per unit
Leclerc : US $4+million in 2016 per unit
So actually you can buy today 2 leclerc for the price of ONE Abram M1
I guess what you refer to is not the cost that a client paid, but the cost overall for the PRODUCER : means the cost of devlopment + the cost of construction.
As the US MBT is clearly produced in greater number, it makes this number lower than the french tanks.
Basically French MBTs count (in the world)
