I have the newer version and I always forget to tie my edges down and it stays laid all day. I throw my bonnet on and still sleek. I absolutely love it! Wish I knew about this when I first went natural 7yrs ago 😭 could of saved myself $$$$ over the years.
Also the white residue is buildup. For my daughter and me, I had a moisturizing oil on top and it clears up the buildup residue. 😊 We both have 4a/4b hair type.
When your hair is dirty or you use too much of the old one ... it does leave a white residue ... idk about the new stuff I gotta try it ❤
When I use the edge booster I also use eco styled gel the coconut one so that it doesn’t turn right! Also with a little bit of oil & water 😊
I do the exact same thing but I use the Argan Oil Eco Styler.
They are both great, the older one is water based the newer one has less water, that’s why there’s an even greater hold. They have even removed water from the name of the second one. Thanks for your video, good to see them in action ❤️
Exactly this but id prefer the water based one especially for delicate areas like my edges that can break easily from over drying producers like the newer one.

I notice this happens when my hair isn’t freshly washed or if I don’t wet my hair.
I want to try the edge booster but I really hate that waxy feeling so I havent tried it! Im excited to try the new one today. You can def tell the difference with the new one! 😍
Honestly the consistency is kinda of waxy buuut it goes away as you brush it through I feel like that's a good thing, great hold and it really last the whole day. Spray a little bit of oil sheen or go in with eco styling gel first so it doesn't turn white

@@hjohnson6346 omg so it wasn’t just me, I used the old formula with with some water and holding down and it worked for the most part, but this new one does absolutely nothing for me. It won’t even stay on for an hour it just do not work

The pink new one leaves a white cast on my hair & makes my hair look grey.. but my edges will hold alllll day, even without tapping it & I haven’t found anything to do that with my hair
