fucking thanks a lot dude. The songs the uploader picked were so good and I've been always wondering what the titles are
from this video i learned that japan has two moods: traditional shamisen played geisha songs, and energetic j-pop bangers
石川さゆり, the stalin and 稲葉浩志 are typing…
Some context for these prefectures for those wondering:
- A dinosaur was chosen for Fukui because of the Kitadani Dinosaur Quarry within the city limits of Katsuyama which has yielded animals such as the Fukuiraptor, Fukuisaurus, Nipponosaurus, Koshisaurus, Fukuivenator, Fukuititan and Tambatitanis.
- A Brazilian was chosen for Gunma because in the town of Ōizumi within Gunma, twenty percent of the population are foreigners, mostly Brazilians who work in the local factories.
- There is a statue of Luffy in Kumamoto because Kumamoto is the birthplace of One Piece's creator Eiichiro Oda. He was born there in 1975 and at the age of four he resolved to become a manga artist in order to avoid having to get a "real job".
- Ehime grows a lot of mikan or mandarin oranges. The reason for the high yields is said to be that "it has three suns". The first is the sun that shines in the southern sky, the second is the sun that's reflected off the sea, and the third is the sun that's reflected off the stone walls up on the mountains!
Maybe that's why one piece is still continuing, so he can avoid a real job for the rest of his life
Ehime might have 3 suns, but Hiroshima had 2 for a brief period.

Wow are you really non-Japanese? As a Japanese,it’s truly “stereotypes of prefectures though by Japanese”. I’m really thank you to make this kind meme clips about Japanese prefectures! You made my day.
It says in the description "Special thanks to all the people who helped in the realization!", so I guess he had some help from locals, otherwise he couldn't make these videos for all kinds of countries. Which is a good thing, I live in a European country close to Italy that was probably made before did it so professional and it shows, more googled stereotypes and just bland stuff instead of more intricate portrayals. If he is reading this comment please redo some older ones, I love them usually but the one about my country made me question them, would love to see a better version I can enjoy. Anyway this comment got kinda long but good to see he is doing it better and asks the people living there now.

Here's some symbolism for the cool prefectural flags:
Aichi - The emblem depicts the rising sun over the waves, symbolizing Aichi's role in overseas development as a prefecture facing the Pacific Ocean as a stylized representation of the characters “あいち” that spell Aichi in Japanese. The name Aichi is said to come from a poem that was composed by the poet Takechi Kurohito and included in the third volume of the Man'yoshu (“Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves”), a famous Japanese poetic anthology.
Chiba - The oldest of all prefectural emblems, Chiba's emblem is a combination of katakana チ and ハ to form the shape of nanohana, the prefectural flower. The blue background represents hope and development.
Nagano - The katakana ナ (na) is stylized into a bird in flight inside a circle, where the shape of a mountain is reflected like on a lake. The design imagines the progress and development of the prefecture through its nature, and the citizen’ friendship and unity.
Tottori - The first kanji of Tottori’s name means “bird” and the flag is styled to show the hiragana と in the shape of a bird, symbolizing freedom, peace and future development of the prefecture.
And then there's the flag of Aomori which is just the shape of the prefecture 😂
Aomori is a map of the prefecture.
4:03 Shizuoka's emblem is designed with the shape of the prefecture and Mt Fuji. I like it.

Sorry for the Google translation. Miyazaki Prefecture is very economically unstable and there are few major companies, so salaries tend to be low overall. In addition, there are fewer entertainment facilities and convenience stores compared to other prefectures, making it very inconvenient. There are many other reasons why the number of suicides is one of the highest in the country. In other words, it's a matter of very low happiness.
I like how some songs used in some prefectures are based from where the singer came from (i.e. A Rina Sawayama song for Niigata)
Thanks to this video, I just discovered that 石川さゆり came from kumamoto perfecture!
Right! I anticipated the WORLD by NIGHTMARE being used for Miyagi

I stayed in Niigata for 3 years, but in the countryside. So my experience are only about staring into the rice fields or walking in heavy snow just for convenience store lol.
Sounds pretty cool I only get snow once a year
I studied abroad in Niigata University for a year. Can confirm %70 of the prefecture is rice fields and %40 of life is trying to survive the snow. Best memories ever though, enjoyed every moment, even not having running water for two days because the water pipes froze solid.
Welcome to the rice fields

But in all seriousness, there wasn't much of a difference between the West and the East Japan after late classical age.
It is clear from various archaeological evidence that many people migrated from the west to the east since prehistoric times, and after roads were built in ancient times, it was possible to move smoothly from the easternmost part of the Kanto region to Kyoto
The travel time has been two months, and one month for horses
In addition, the descendants of governors who were dispatched from Kyoto to the east are the famous samurai clans of the Kanto region, like a the Taira clan, Fujiwara clan, and some of Minamoto clan

I am a resident of Shizuoka Prefecture. I was surprised at the accuracy of the information because the singer of the song used in the Shizuoka section was from Shizuoka Prefecture.
However, there is one mistake. Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan, and it is recognized in Japan that Shizuoka Prefecture and Yamanashi Prefecture each own half of the mountain. (In reality, it is apparently the private property of a religious institution on the Shizuoka side.)
There is often a battle between the residents of the two prefectures to determine which side is the official "beautiful front side," but this video was taken from the Yamanashi side.
Therefore, the photo that should have been used for the Shizuoka section is the "front side", not the back side.
(A common joke between Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures).
Only the top of the mountain is privately owned.
As a Japanese resident of Shizuoka, I agree with this opinion. Let's start a war!
I visited Chureito Pagoda a few weeks back while I was in Fujiyoshida. Which is in Yamanashi prefecture, so yes, the pagoda image for Shizuoka is incorrect.
I just keep imagining the exchanges of provocations between Japanese people from Shizuoka and Japanese people from Yamanashi because of this fight

I like the song chosen for Yamagata. We used to have Japanese fests in Moscow and once it was visited by a team of Hanagasa dancing young people from Yamagata. And that song played during their performance. Both the music and the performance were epic. So, I guess, their Hanagasa song is somehow one of Yamagata's local symbols.

american here, we have state flags, but all they are (a few exceptions exist good job new mexico, you set the standard we should all follow for a good state flag) is a messy bloated coat of arms or mail stamp on various shades of blue. my own state is a dark green (woo washington) but it's ruined by having a hard to see at a distance image of washington (1st president) on it, i always thought it would look better if it had a native american style salmon or orca on it or just a plain white circle.

As someone who previously lived in Tochigi, yeah. It seems a lot of Chinese people migrated to Tochigi and popularized gyoza in the area, there's a LOT of places that sell gyoza!
i lived in ehime for 4 months on exchange and laughed so hard. way too accurate
I am so jealous of people who had opportunities to go to Japan on business or for education.
@@2yoyoyo1Unplugged it was an amazing experience, but it was a lot of work and preparation, especially for a 16 year old doing it all on their own. i found the organization for exchange trips on my own, wrote seven essays for a scholarship because i couldnt afford the trip even though i had worked the entire previous summer full-time at a job that i despised so i could accrue the funds(parents couldn’t and wouldn’t financially fund me), had to convince the principal of my high school to make a one of a kind exception for me so that i didnt have to take my finals until after i got back because my flight was before the finals week, so that also meant i had to study for my finals while i was in japan. i also had to file for my passport and pay the fee, (though my parents helped me with this and swapping out my usd for yen at the bank). it was nearly a year’s worth of work, and i sacrificed two summers of the 17 i had lived through at that point to make it happen. it was a lot of hoops to jump through, and i prided myself on MAKING the opportunity, because it was NOT fed to me on a silver spoon
It's literally the Orange County of Japan
Now all three have their own video 🇩🇪🇮🇹🇯🇵
Add 🇺🇲🇬🇧 and you have true Axis
As a native of Yamagata Prefecture, I am very happy! Thank you for introducing Yamagata to me!
I am proud to be a resident of Yamagata Prefecture!
As a foreigner who's been to a handful of these prefectures, its amazing how spot on the vibes are when compared to this
Fukuoka - 'Please don't ask about Prisoners of War in 1945 and who was forced laboured to work in the factories & mines'
I recommend 石川県(Ishikawa) to you all when you travel to Japan. Ishikawa is known as 小京都(Sub-Kyoto) and there are a bunch of original cultures included. Its a bit far from Tokyo but easier to access from Osaka.
Ishikawa is also where Kanazawa is, also well known for its main specialty - wagashi.
By March 2024 it will be connected via Shinkansen to Fukui and Tsuruga.
you even used Asadoya Yunta for Okinawa. the attention to details here! nice work!
The fact that you put Arashi's song in Tokyo and Aiba's song specifically for Chiba. Freaking excellent
0:55 As Brazilian, not only well represented, but happy with the sentiment of nostalgia with Initial D, best anime ever 🏁
Japan is so fascinating
I watched this video for a half hour and then realized it had only been 3 minutes. Good value!
thank you for providing all the songs you a real one
I was considering showing this to my Japanese wife but then Fukushima came up, and then I confirmed my "don't do that" suspicions when I saw Hiroshima.
I loved how diverse were the japanese songs in these videos tbh
Tochigi was particularly on point with the gyozas XD
3:43 I like the cameo
incomprehensible i will now move to Okayama for the rest of my life
Jokes apart, the music selection is perfect
for an island Japan has absolutely incredible landscapes. holy...
the prefecture flags are so amazing!
2:52 When you mysteriously get penciled in last minute by literally who knows, resulting in the majority of your Catholic population getting vaporized.
Would also be neat to add the mascot for eact city and/or prefecture.
Kumamon - komamoto prefecture
Chiitan (unofficial) - Susaki City, Kochi prefecture
Funassyi -Funabashi City, Chiba
Barii-san - Imabari City, Ehime prefecture
Etc
Geodude for Iwate Prefecture (the prefecture's name literally means “rock hand”, and the geodude mascot suit has PNG transparency legs!)

1:57 The slander song into a slander video, perfection
