    45:52 this dinar is not of King Offa and there is no evidence to suggest that. There is another example citing King Offa in the British Museum but thats about it. Your example is certainly an imitation of an Islamic Abbasid dinar of al-Mahdi, however its impossible to pinpoint where it originated since there's no indication. It could very well have been the North Caucasian region or Central Asia or Morocco, since these places are also known to have imitated early Abbasid dinars.

    • @quixoticmelancholic7141
      @quixoticmelancholic7141 Před rokem

      "It has been claimed by Nöldeke and subsequent scholarship that the Qur'anic story of Dhul-Qarnayn was borrowed from the Christian Legend attributed to Jacob of Serugh. Internal evidence however shows that it was composed after 628 CE. Investigations by Hunnius, Kmoskó and Czeglédy have conclusively shown that the writer had ex eventu (i.e., a prophesy or predication after the event) knowledge of Khazar invasion of Armenia. The text provides no date by which the terminus ad quem (a final limiting point in time) can be fixed."

    • @lahleholivia7398

      @@quixoticmelancholic7141 Zakir Naik say dhul-qarnayn is Cyrus the Great since Alexander the Great is off limits since he was a Bisexual wine drinking Pagan. Unfortunately Cyrus the Great used his army and resources to find stolen and looted Pagan idols so he could return them to their Pagan temples out of respect. Get up out of one hole just to fall in another.

    • @quixoticmelancholic7141
      @quixoticmelancholic7141 Před rokem

      @@lahleholivia7398 Dr. Naik has his opinions, but that does not make him a scholar of history: more importantly, why are you mentioning Cyrus anyway? No one is talking about Cyrus.
      Alexander is said to have died in 323 BCE, and apparently the earliest Greek source about him dates to the 1st century CE. A lot can get twisted in 300 years.
      Beyond that, consider that it doesn't matter if he actually was a "Bisexual wine drinking Pagan", only that he ceased to be one before his exploits allegedly mentioned in the Quran. He isn't called (or assumed to be) a prophet, and sincere repentance upon accepting the Truth is all that is required to make one right with God in Islam (as I understand).
      Historical arguments are very weak, and have been defeated many times upon the discovery of contrary evidence.

    • @quixoticmelancholic7141
      @quixoticmelancholic7141 Před rokem +3

      @@lahleholivia7398 It appears you are unfamiliar with the Quranic view of religious history, as well as a bit lazy in your thought process.
      In a nutshell, the idea is that God inspires certain individuals (prophets) throughout history with the message of pure monotheism and moral behavior, sometimes as warners to others, sometimes chosen for specific purposes. The" Truth" is divine guidance revealed at any period in history. Submission to that guidance is what Islam literally means, thus any person at any point in history is a Muslim if she/he submits to the divine guidance for that era. For example, if Alexander did go to Jerusalem and meet with the Jews there, (per Josephus ), then he might have embraced the monotheism and morality of the Jews without actually converting to Judaism ( Platonic philosophy does seemingly point to monotheism, after all). That is just one possibility I can imagine.
      As for your "setting sun" comment, it appears you also suffer from unfamiliarity with literary language ( I sincerely hope you realize I did not actually put anything into the actual shell of a nut).
      Do yourself a favor: instead of presenting red herrings, responding with non-sequiturs, and strawmen, try actually reading something for yourself and try to actually understand before forming an opinion, instead of letting 3rd rate anti-Muslim websites do your thinking for you.
      Peace.
