Waiting for the next video with all the snow and sad faces!! 👊☘️
we got it up here in Alberta
I want to see the 8rx first.😂
Chet I admire your work ethic and how you get along with everyone
I’m almost 60 years old and wish my dad would have let me do some things on my own instead of wanting to argue and say I’m your daddy do as I say do
Chet you have an amazing Mom & Dad
Big Swede's "Link in the description below" was priceless!
Yep, corn prices aren't good if you're selling. But finally, for those of us who have cattle and a feedlot, it's a blessing. Cattle prices have never been better, and putting corn into the feedlot steers isn't a checkbook buster!
We ate selling week old beef on dairy calves for 5 50 a lb. Absolutely insane.😂❤
How do you get by with welding on the equipment while still hooked up to tractor without damaging the computer in tractor do you disconnect the battery
@@joeherndon5815 the welder does not have enough charge to do any damage to th tractor, further more the implement is the ground in the equation of welding.
I hate corned beef. Grass fed is much tastier.
@@tuberNunya corn is a grass
Take them cast iron parts your replacing to your local machine shop and have them rebore the holes oversized. Then have them make bigger diameter bushings.
What a great video Chet. You guys do an awesome job. Keep up the good work. 😅👍❤️
Good weld Big Swed it will hold !!!
Chet, you have the best content on a farming youtube channel. As far as the front shank bushings literally being destroyed, there is really no way to prevent that especially in fields that have contours. The excessive wear stems from making turns while the implement is in the ground. Just something that is often overlooked and not really thought about while working ground. By far, bar none, you do an amazing job in maintaining your equipment and set an example.
I'm serious watching ur videos is educational and inspiring keep up the great work Larson farms🎉🎉
A grinder and paint, make me the welder I ain't.
Cat paints them yellow for a reason boys!!! The color of gold ✨️
Drill them out and press it a High-Load Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings ( mcmaster-carr). Do plug welds.
Get welding jacket for the Arms!! The sunburn is severe from welding! 13:00
I still remember what that John Deere green paint smells like when you’re welding. It’s been over 30 years, but I still remember.
You guys all make a great team. Team work!!
YOU GUYS ARE JUST SO DOWN TO EARTH AND HUMBLE .......
Why are you yelling?
so you can hear me!!!!!!@@Eric-dr5bj
Y’all should make a blow out plate for that pony motor on the lowboy just in case a tire let’s loose
Like the product placement of the hat during the weld....😂
I watch all of your videos! You guys all do a great job!! Keep up the good work!!
Still better than TV. Great content guys. Hope you kept that snow blower handy. 😂
Thanks for sharing Larson Farms, always enjoy
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHET AND BIG SWEDE AND BRODY 😊
Keep up the great work Chet
another great video
I caught myself whistling yalls theme song the other day when i was piddling around the house.
I’m glad you guys call your (field cultivators) diggers. I’m from the northern part of South Dakota and many years ago moved to the southern part of the state, and when I would talk about a digger, they looked at me like I was nuts. Took a little while before I realized that they call them field cultivators down in this area.
thats why on are farm we have a milling machine a press and a good metal lath for milling them holes out and putting a heaver bushing in for a fraction of the price of new.
And how it changes so fast, enjoy your snow days
Awesome video Chet. It's always a great day when your post pop up. 🚜🚜🚜
Gitter done boys!! Crunch time!!
Hey Chet hope all is well with the Larson Farm crew, and everybody is staying safe, remember always "Safety First". I'm curious about the application on the digger. If the plow point is secured and can't wiggle, what is the purpose of the spring, it appears to me that it is tighten with a lot of tension. Thanks for the aggravation you guys go through to bring us the updated antics of the "Larson Mafia" But seriously all the hard work to help keep Americans and the whole world fed is remarkable, a heartfelt "thanks"...
Chet Eric Broodie great explanations on digger and clock got that extra hour Chet rock picker expensive steel plate
Would enjoy hearing your corn and bean pricing with basis relative to CBOT.
Constant challenges with the equipment . Thank you for sharing.
Great job fellows and the crack is the cheep Chinees steel that was used to make the digger .
Great videos keep up the great work
Great video and great job guys
Gusset plates are what were undersized that failed on the 35W bridge in 2007.
@2:50 now that is what I call a DEEP well socket.
Interesting video. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 😊
great video
Good video guys. Like the maintenance stuff
Crazy how much wider the 9530 looks now
grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't
The boys just seemed to over it today. It's hard to be inside when outside is so nice.
Good video as always.
thank you
that ram is lubricating the bucket pins, very efficient
Thanks for great video😍😍😍❤❤💯💯💢💢
Now three weeks later you have had snow
Nice to see everyone jumping in on a shitty job to help just get it done. Seemed like everyone was having a good time
Great video again as always. Wondered when you'd come back
Back to basics 👍 I’d be up for that …
Chet #1/in repair tutorial
The reason one side of your digger might be cracked while the other isnt is because of the side you use on the outside of fields it does tend to be tougher on it, just an idea.
Hi love the videos
Love it
New Big Swede t-shirt “I have lots of excuses because I get blamed for everything “ take my money 💰. Appreciate you men👍
Years ago, CAT Parts generated the total profit for the company. CAT...The King of Dirt.
If the chrome on the cylinder is down to bare metal or pitted, time to have the cylinder rechromed.
Ah, so if the chrome is gone it's time to get more chrome, good to know. 👍
Hi from lreland
Another Great video Chet who new you could make changing parts fun thanks
I'm a Toolmaker and I was wondering if it would be more cost effective to open the holes on that black shank mount in press in oversize (Outside Diameter) bushings.
Love you videos and the Earnhardt signs
700 dollars for a piece of plate. I thought Australia was the only place where we were being ripped off but it would appear that i was wrong.
That digger frame is cracked one side because its pulling slightly sideways. Which means one side is going deeper than the other. I have done thousands of acres with those.
Good Morning can re-build the parts for the Digger that you replace by putting a Bushing and Welding it Back
You guys should look into a rock crusher. What you crush you can use as gravel and rent it out to other farmers for their rock piles. Just a thought.
How they make field cultivators is frustrating. Look at an old Allis torsion shank or a Krause k-tine. The shanks never wear loose and floppy, but hey companies have to sell as many parts as they can
Thanks for another great video Chet.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Busy busy shop time right now fixing and repairing lots of equipment for spring field work.
The tillage machine you all helped over haul looks great. Lots to redo and put new parts into. Lots of heavy duty work there guys. Good job done.
The filming was done during the nice weather you had. Then I believe you got that heavy snow. Looking forward to that video Chet. Amazing weather this year.
About it I guess. Thanks for everything Chet and crew. You all take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Boys, please, use earpro around those ratcheting machines. You'll love it later.
Great video. Please Fab up a cover for that new remote hydraulic unit on the lowboy. :)
I sent Brody the package.
Chet it’s because it’s caterpillar just like for green paint the price of the fancy paint
The most expensive piece on the digger was that $995.99 rattle can of jd green paint. Its just crazy what they get for green these days. I saw a can of oliver green at prepper supply for a buck two ninety eight! 😮
BJ has alot of learning to do
As always Chet nice video keep them coming! God blees 🙏🏻🇺🇸
Have you ever thought about replacing the bolts with grease bolts? A bolt drilled and a Zerk fitting on the end.
You have a awesome blacksmith those brackets look like they were cut with plasma. Joking with you we all no what you meant
Border View Farms planted beans yesterday in Michigan
Chet did that. He would planting seeds into snow
❤so is sweed theral like that with the girls. Dang I'm missing out.. lol love your vids boys.
And on Cat Track Ho cat sell a Protective cover for the Hydraulic Ram to stop the Pitting on the Ram
You can machine those out to 1.25” and install a 200# standard bushing
I got to do almost all new standards on our 2210. Went with shoup since jd was over 100 each
Looks like ya killed something with thoughts shanks lol
It's the gold that they mix in with the paint to get that shade of yellow that jacks up the prices on those parts. 🤪 Of course I always say the same thing about John Deere parts.
You’re lucky it’s only a 3rd, most of the parts I bought this winter have doubled and a couple tripled.
talking about your caterpillar of course 😉
22:57 we supposed be flat out here in uk but it’s been a washout. Boston Lincolnshire uk 🇬🇧
Magnifique matériel agricole et les tracteur sont bien équipés 😂😮😅😊
I'd be looking into making a jig to hold them , rebore a bigger hole and sleeving.
Your gonna need one of those fancy metal laser tables to crank out your own parts. Heck why your at it grab one of those super doper metal carving contraptions.
When I was younger I farmed and we always had JD tractors but ran only red diggers. They were much better than green back 38 years ago maybe it’s different now
I would ream hold out and have a bigger brushing in that piece
I can't believe you guys don't have a stick welder for these bigger jobs.
Use break cleaner to get the grease off of the floor
You guys just need to buy a side dump trailer. Or use your grain trailer to haul rock!!
Track the cylinder and just sand the rough spots on the rod. They will only drip when the low spot goes through the seal. At least the rough spot won’t be there to chew up the seal
If J.D. would just put grease zerts, where there should be a grease zert.
Looks like the 9530 could use some tracks lol
It is to the stage that it is cheaper to buy a machine shop for manufacturing our parts than buying the parts
With a lathe and a vertical milling machine a day and you would be able to remanufacture all the parts you replaced in this video
Regards from an old machinist 👍
