Mickey Thomas
Mickey Thomas yeah. Yeah he is one of the best. ;)
The great Mickey Thomas of Starship..."This guy" 😩
This is the Mother Of All Ballads. Something for everyone. So beautifully arranged and performed. Truly inspired.
💙💙
It's an awesome song for sure and I love it, but could be argued it's just "generic AOR"... (I love AOR lmao)
Ahhhhhhh 1980s love it. wish I was there.
❤
❤ 🙌
Micky Thomas is so underrated, he's up there with Steve Perry, Robert Plant etc, still got the pipes.
Indeed
Definitely I love Mickeys voice.. He's definitely up there with Lou Gramm and Steve Perry. x
Be careful with the guy James Hernandez who I've noticed has messaged you a few times.. He's messaging EVERYONE ON HERE ASKING DETAILS LIKE WHERE THEY'RE FROM etc and harassing people. I lost count of the people he's messaging. Just be aware. x
Ur so right Gordon Mickey Thomas is a great singer. Love Starship he very underrated singer. Ur right put him n the same with Perry Gramm Plant
and i love your music !
I'm 60 and get choked up listening to these rock legends...what a voice..the .60's,70's,80's were greatest times in music history..
100% agree sir
so true 👌🏻👍🏻😎
this stuff is a lost art for sure…
You spoke my Heart.❤
Agreed!
One of the most beautiful mid tempo ballads ever and by far one of the most elegant and romantic bands of the 80's. Thank you Starship.
It's crazy how many people come back to this everyday. This song is legendary.
Today 🤘
Amazing song. Wish I grew up in the 80s lol
Love This Song. Mickey Thomas is A Great Singer. Happy Birthday.
@@jasonbuttera1150 80's had the BEST music!!! so glad i grew up in the 80's todays kids have NO idea how good it was!!
Speedballing cocaine + heroin in this song. Absolutely the best of Love Grace Slick.
Mickey Thomas is a treasure
Sam Cooke... Marvin Gaye... George Michael... Steve Perry... Mickey Thomas! Just to name a few of the greatest vocalists EVER!!!
Please put Lou Grammy in there 2
Meant to say Lou Gramm
And Jimy Jamison
Freddie Mercury as well😊
Try John Farnham from Australia
The best Starship song in my opinion!
80's MUSIC NEVER DIES !
Yes 100% true

No question he is a good singer , but I wouldn't go as far as saying he is one of the most powerful in history .
Most definitely I'm in Scotland and love Mickey Thomas's voice. I didn't even discover Starship till like 1998 when I was 17-18. Absolutely amazing vocals. x
Mickey Thomas is one of the greatest and most underrated singers of all time. One of the best the world has ever given us. You rock Mickey Thomas.
Totally agree 👍
oh absolutely!!
I was listening to FIND YOUR WAY BACK, and reading the comments ... SOME ASSHOLES WERE PUTTING DOWN ONE OF THE MOST AWESOME SINGERS IN ROCK. GUESS THEY JUST DON'T APPRECIATE REAL TALENT.
HELL , JUST LISTEN TO THE PROOF HERE WITH YOUR HEART AND SOUL NOT JUST YOUR EARS.😎👍
And if this band was any better looking I couldn't take them seriously.
His vocals shatters my MOJO! 😩💅🏾🥵😍😌😁💯
Beautiful guitar solo by Craig Chaquico
Mickey Thomas talented beyond this world. Legend imo.
All I can say is as a 42 year old, I'm so glad I lived through that time!
Me too
Yes!
I'm 42 as well, and right? I'll be 43 later this year, 80's music will never die.
Me too Bro!
I’m 58 and still listening to this awesome music and always will.
Crazy thing is Mickey Thomas is still touring as of 2021, and he can still hit those notes 40 years later
Wow, that is rare. Most aging singers always down key their original high songs.
@@MightyWomanOfGod9050 Amen
Seeing them tomorrow night in AZ!
He's amazing.. I'd love to see him live but I'm in Scotland.. 😢x
too old needs to retire
Mickey Thomas has got one of the all time greatest voices.
💯
That’s absolutely right ! I also like the man with a golden voice, Brad Delp. Unfortunately he doesn’t belong to our world now 😔😔
That Irish tenor voice he has was made for rock.
It comes completely natural and can still bring it to this day.
Love Mickey!
@@PorcelainLeigh I totally agree
Yes, agreed!
80 was the best times ,music in these times is very depressing and sad 😔
Starship, the best...
Mickey Thomas. One of the best voices of our era.
The best
Discovered this song in 2022 and it’s one, if not the best, power ballad ever. Mickey Thomas is amazing.
Agree.
That was the 80's, friend. I was fortunate enough to grow up in it.
Very interesting post for 2022! I remember this song as a teen - and I didn't realize it has VERY similar tone and arrangement to both WHITE SNAKE and DEF LEPPARD. I wonder if STARSHIP was trying to harden themselves up to adjust to the times?? It feels like they really those pop-metal power-ballad as a template. I honestly think I THOUGHT it was one of the those two bands at the time.
Got a Great Beat 🪘 Makes you ready to dance !!👍
look up beat of a heart by scandal
80's never die
80's never die 😊
Love forever STARSHIP🎵 👌❤👍🎶
❤
My favorite Starship song. This is coming from a chick born in 93' that only listens to 70's and 80's music!! Old soul in a young body :)
Same here. 1993. 😊
Best Starship song ever !!!
Me 1995. And I still love old songs. I play them in school events and everyone goes into nostalgia.
this is beautiful music. you have great taste!
You rock girl!!
Mickey Thompson is a Awesome Singer 🎤✌️❤️

The best Starship song!
Mickey Thomas the GOAT.. Period people
Awesome 80s rock Micky Thomas powerhouse voicalist
The 80's boasted some of the greatest music of my generation ... What a time to be alive ...
I wanna go back !
Greatest music, cars, fashion and hair
Your generation? Like all time.
The 80s were exciting !!! times! ❤🎉❤
And films too 🎥😁
Probably one of the most evolved bands ever. Psychedelic from 1965-72 easy listening from 1974-77, classic rock from 1978-1981, pop music from 1982-88 and then hair metal in 89
You summed up Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship/Starship perfectly.
The 80's is Gold! Eight-note bass lines, guitar with chorus and string synth keys is the nostalgic formula missing in today's music.
❤
They just don't make music with heart and soul like this anymore. I long for the 80s to come back and stay forever.
progressive59 I feel that way every day 😢👍🍺
I agree with all of you!!
Agreed. The 80s was a once in lifetime experience. Full of hope. A time of believing in yourself.
It will never come back...but I'm glad to have been a part of it.
The best of times.
True ! These days most musics are no more musics ,they're noises and shameful abominations.
They make a lot but radios stations and music channels don't play it.:( For example Frontiers Record release many new AOR and melodic rock artists but only some rock websites, web radios and Metal Hammer write about them.
Mickey Thomas is a great singer!!! So underrated!!!
Great song, really. Great singer. Thank you very much
I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO 80'S MUSIC. It's going to be around for a while. All of it sounds too dam good. From 1980 to 1990.
2023. Sounds freakin' amazing. Better than ever.
Song reminds me of when I was in high school. God I miss those days!
Not enough Craig Chaquico!
The clip from 1:24 is that trademark voice and guitar sound of Jefferson Starship! 🙂
What good times where in the 80s greattttt times
Great music like this may no longer be on the radio ,But it will never die, there's still music lovers out there
I love this song. Mickey Thomas's voice is up there with Steve Perry and Lou Gramm. Has such feeling in this SONG. x
Totally agree with you. Thank you so much now I know at least one name from this band. It's (I'm guessing) the lead singer who's name is Mickey Thomas?
@@ms.zelman3032 yeah lol Mickey Thomas is the singer. x
@@ms.zelman3032 A good heart is another great with Thomas on vocals as well as Sara and Nothings gonna stop us now. x
@@lisadavie5819 I just listened to a good heart and it's not bad, but I prefer this song over a good heart. Also Nothing's gonna stop us now is such an addictive and catchy song. Love that song so much. That was the first song I heard from Starship.
As a professional singer in the Music Industry since 1987, I'll go as far as to place The Great Mickey Thomas at the top of the pack! His soul, range, timbre, control and longevity put him in the driver's seat.
I love this song... his voice is amazing... when he sings the high pitch all I hear is Steve Perry! 💕
When I watch video's from 80's and 90's, I just want to cry. I miss those days soo much, all I go through now is heartache, depression and pain that never ends. I want to go back to the good ole days.
Beautiful 80's, how I miss that period.
❤
Dancing at the clubs during the late 70’s, 80’s and 90’s was the BEST!!!
MICKEY THOMAS =LEGEND. I GOT TO SEE HIM IN A SMALL VENUE IN LITTLE ROCK, AR IN THE LATE 80'S. I WAS ABOUT 5 FT FROM HIM AND HE DID ALL THE HITS AND MAN HIS VOICE JUST REVERBERATED THROUGH ALL OF US AND IT WAS MAGICAL. HE SOUNDS INSANE IN PERSON. NAILED EVERY SONG, SOUNDED JUST LIKE THE RECORDS. LONG LIVE MICKEY THOMAS.
Потрясающая песня!Прослушала ее 10 раз подряд и ещё хочу.Великолепное сочетание музыки,вокала и видео-сюжета.Ребята,Вы-супер!!!❤️❤️❤️
Can't believe I am only hearing this now for the first time at age 40, what a power ballad, fantastic
Don't feel bad....this song did advance into the Top 40 in 1989, but on the power of airplay it got in certain parts of the country...I can tell you that in Philadelphia, this song never came close to gracing the Top 40 stations at that time. I, too, did not discover this powerhouse of a ballad until many years after its release.
I only found it two days ago... at age 57. At least I found it !
I found it at my 38 s. Glad for it
Ditto... and I'm 50
found it now, I'm 28
Brings back awesome memories of being "twenty-something" in the 80's!! Yeah baby!
My 11 year old daughter loves this song and asked me why music today isn't good like this anymore!
Wise kid!
She has good taste in music.
Tell he its bc the elite of the world only wants depressing music bc the worldpopulation should be depressed.
obviously you ve done something right!
@@TheAmortencia Haha, this! ^
80's Rock
It's not enough of music like this anymore
Great song from 1989. 70's and 80's was the golden era, the best for Rock and Pop music. Mickey Thomas, fine voice on lead vocals, is still looking cool and handsome, not long before he got his face rearranged by Donny Baldwin, the Starship drummer. A savage assault. You should still be ashamed of yourself Donny Baldwin!
Yeah Baldwin is a thug..Shame on you Donny..Pity Mickey didn't press charges against him, sling his ass in jail.
When was this? I guess I'm behind on this since the 80s are gone. Lol
Terrific Voice and Beautiful Guitar.
Handsome musicians, over all the drummer. I love this song and I adore that couple, both are beautiful.
80's .. the golden age of Rock.
+bucky468 nirvana es pichulada
No, what killed real rock music was the bands that came after Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Those bands were pretty solid and waaaaaay better than this stuff. Having said that, I did enjoy this groups pre-1987 stuff. Anything from 1987 onward was totally godawful generic.
That ice ice baby ruined everyone
That's a matter of opinion. This is very polished and is basically sanitized pop. What killed rock was dubstep and rap around 2011 or so.
Can you point me to some facts and figures--because looking at the Billboard charts and the sales figures I really don't buy what you are saying?
Definitely my favorite Starship song.
Like a long lost treasure ❤
Good song and good band from the 80's!
Such a classic. Cant beat the 80s. No decade ever did or will
Will never ever get sick of listening to STARSHIP! The 80,s Rocked!
What a voice!
Starship 😎👍🎶
The Master guitar player Craig Chaquico with the Carvin DC guitar, he is so underrated!
And great voice of his singer..
I'm immigrant too!
We are a pair of immigrants!
Was wondering, thanks. Good tone too
Going to see them for the second time this month in Tinley Park 🎉
80’s music is BEST ❤️🇺🇸💯
They are coming here to my state close to me.. but no Mickey Thomas!! Does he not your as starship?
Haven’t heard this song in 34 years. Late summer early fall of 1989. Wish I could go back
big guitar, big drums, big vocals. fantastic. long live the 80s.
The 80’s was the era that the band’s members actually played their own instruments!!! And the music they made of actually listenable…including tracks on their CD’s that never got air play! I’ve loved this band since they were Jefferson Starship before Mickey Thomas joined the band…but I have to say, when he did the band was raised up to incredible heights because of his powerful voice!!
This is the type of rock which is so missing in today's era. So wish we could go back to this again.
Ur on the money today music is crap
This is my favorite Starship song !!!!
Feel those goose bumps ??........that's the great music of our past......
Starship never grows old.
Their music is never old. The players, well, young at heart anyway! I think Craig is 65 now.
This is my favorite Starship song....I was 29 years old when it was released and I loved it instantly! I'm an 80's girl, always will be! Got to see Mickey Thomas perform live in Japan around 10 years ago too....what a beautiful voice.

I LUV STARSHIP❣ THEY PLAYED IN FLAGSTAFF,AZ❣
Ooooooo those 80s... How I wish I had a time machine and went back...
A textbook master-class of how a romantic number should be delivered by a singer..
Today's romantic numbers can't hold a candle to this.
+Sivaram “Sydney Kishore” Hariharan I couldn't agree more. Nothing comes remotely close today. I long to return to this era where music was real and had genuine heart and soul.
+progressive59 FM are about the best you'll get these days.. Just love 'em... Going to see them Sat night too! :-)
+progressive59 Thanks for ur comments. I can say that this same disease is also affecting the songs from my own country India... the Indian songs of today (save a rare exception here and there) are complete trash compared to the high stds that they set from the 50s all thru to the 80s.....
Mickey is still killing it live at 70+ years old

I become a Gooseflash when i hear this unbelieble Song..Compliment or all Musicans from Starship...!!!Greetings from Germany

Vocally Mickey Thomas is simply on another planet. Another plane of existence.
Mickey still sounds exactly the same in his concerts today. I think I've seen him 5 times in the last year! He is simply amazing, next concert March, Harrisburg, PA 2018!
