I think the 3 27 gearing is pretty good with the 1.53 3rd gear transmission ratio in 3rd gear with the 3.27 gear is like a 4.10 gear with a 1.1 transmission ratio and 4th gear with a 1.15 transmission gear ratio makes the 3.27 gear in 4th like a 3.42 gear with a 1.1 transmission gear ratio 5th like a 2.90 and 6th like a 2.29 1st gear in a 6L80e transmission with the 4.03 transmission gear ratio in 1st gear with a 3 27 is equal to a 4.30 gear in a 700r4 with a 1st gear transmission ratio of 3.06
@@samholcombe3129 tunes make a huge difference. In my last Camaro I raced more. I’d hang with ls3 cars with similar mods and bigger cams. My Camaro now seems a lot faster than the last one. Can’t wait to get more runs for the channel.
Probably. Depends the tune and the driver. I’ve lost to some and I’ve beat some with similar mods and stage 3-4 cams. Don’t sleep on a properly built and tuned L99.
if i ever have this close of a race with a 5th gen almost mod for mod id sell my car bc 6th gens are 300lb+ lighter and have better trans much more powerful with bolt ons 6th gens make 5th gen fbo heads\cam power
A little over exaggerated except for the transmission, the lightest 6gen LT1 manual is 3640 vs 38xx 5th Gen, and 30 hp difference from LS3 to LT1 isn’t what I’d call much more, not even 10% more. 6 gen is a better car in basically every way, but that’s kinda how it is supposed to be with every new generation of every car. Chevy needs to finish the run with LT2s in SS models, LT5s in ZL1s and LT6 in the final Z/28
@@cg8er145 it’s a damn shame, gonna come out with awesome C8s and Blackwings but just turn their back on the mullet haired Camaro drivers lol. It wouldn’t be that hard to do LT2/SS and LT5/ZL1, just need a bulge in the hood, but LT6/Z/28 would be more engineering, but being a Z/28 it needs that anyway to live up to the 5th Gen Z/28
