Cleveland officially the City of Cleveland, is a major city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Cuyahoga County. Located in the Northeastern part of the state, the city is situated along the southern shore of Lake Erie, across the U.S. maritime border with Canada and approximately 60 miles (100 kilometers) west of the Ohio-Pennsylvania state border. One of the major cities in the Great Lakes region, Cleveland is the largest city on Lake Erie and one of the most populous urban areas in the country. Politically, the metro area is the most reliably Democratic in the state. The current mayor is Justin Bibb (D).
Cleveland anchors the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) and the Cleveland-Akron-Canton Combined Statistical Area (CSA). The CSA is the most populous combined statistical area in Ohio and the 17th largest in the United States, with a population of 3,633,962 in 2020. The city proper, with a 2020 population of 372,624, ranks as the 54th-largest city in the U.S., as a larger portion of the metropolitan population lives outside the central city. The seven-county metropolitan Cleveland economy, which includes Akron, is the largest in the state.
Cleveland was founded in 1796 near the mouth of the Cuyahoga River by General Moses Cleaveland, after whom the city was named. It grew into a major manufacturing center due to its location on both the river and the lake shore, as well as numerous canals and railroad lines. A port city, Cleveland is connected to the Atlantic Ocean via the Saint Lawrence Seaway. The city's economy relies on diversified sectors such as manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, biomedicals, and higher education. The gross domestic product (GDP) for the Greater Cleveland MSA was $135 billion in 2019. Combined with the Akron MSA, the seven-county Cleveland-Akron metropolitan economy was $175 billion in 2019, the largest in Ohio, accounting for 25% of the state's GDP.
Designated as a "Gamma -" global city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network, the city's major cultural institutions include the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Cleveland Orchestra, Playhouse Square, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Known as "The Forest City" among many other nicknames, Cleveland serves as the center of the Cleveland Metroparks nature reserve system. The city's major league professional sports teams include the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Cleveland Guardians.

I have watched it all, and discovered very nice downtown. I am pretty ok with rainy, cold and gloomy weather, therefore i think Cleveland fits my expectations of mid sized town to live normal moderate life.
Well said.. thanks for watching..
Well done and comforting to watch. Beautiful Downtown. Clev downtown exceeded my expectations. Subscribed! Looking forward to your fall and winter drives.
thank you so much for the kind words. i really liked the lay out for downtown here. its like downtown was split into 2 areas. with new architecture on one side and the really old stuff on the other..
Nice drive and video! 🙂👍

Absolutely love these videos of Cleveland. I will be there next week doing a lot of shopping downtown. Who can resist the pizza from Rascal House or the subs from Dave's Cosmic Subs? No place I'd rather be than Cleveland. Excellent video! Liked and subscribed. Please post more.
thank you so much for the good vibes.. I will have to remember to try out the pizza from Rascal House and subs from Dave's Cosmic Subs next time im in town..
Love this. I think it would be great to live in a downtown area of a major city, even Detroit or Cleveland.
Leaving was the best thing I e ever done! Trust me it’s not a good city. I still have to go to the Cleveland clinic from far away now but I don’t stop at lights or to get gas and I have something to protect myself. I have seen so many horrible things in Cleveland
i agree with you their, i could live in any downtown and enjoy it myself. love all the architectures you find downtowns..
You would be better off living in Beirut than Detroit. Not even the rats want to live in Detroit, but Cleveland is absolutely beautiful.
@@freeflyer151 You must have had some horrible experiences in Cleveland. I live 15 minutes south of Detroit and I won't go near that city. It looks like a war zone. But Cleveland is so clean and nice. I'm sorry you've had bad times in Cleveland. Have a very blessed day, my friend.
@@robinbuckeye6841 Downtown and Corktown isn't bad. Nevertheless, Detroit is behind Cleveland in urban revival. Cleveland has done more gentrification in its neighborhoods.
Thanks!
Its about the little things in life that make us all happy. You made my day, kind one. Thank you so much !
so Aawesommeee
thanks for the vibes
красивый город
thank you
ALL HAIL CLEVELAND❤
Lets Go Cleveland
Which city has better roads: Detroit or Cleveland?
to be honest i did not notice a big difference i the roads. since i am from the south all the road up north are rough to us. since they deal with the harsh winters and yearly salt.
@@TheTravelerRV ain't nothing like the south😊
@@bobbydouglas5958 just a southern boy all the way. 😎
Man I don’t miss those depressing overcast skies and the filthy lakes and rivers lol
guess im lucky, being from down south, i kind of liked it...
I’ve been there plenty of times- more sunny days than not.
Oh...wow. That where Traxx used to be & the Vaults & don't forget ISIS club...
sounds like fun. will have to remember these next time im their
Looks dead downtown Cleveland
really ? not from OH. so wouldnt know what its normally like downtown. guess i picked a good time for drive n around.
@@TheTravelerRV it’s usually lively but I guess the time of year, day and if there’s an event going on but still a cool city
@@BigWood0397 for real. I can only image how much traffic would be downtown when their was an even going. must agree it is a cool city...
