Stunning. In the most absurd forum, Peter Sellers self confession to Kermit revealed Seller's most vulnerable aspect about his own persona. That only appearing through an avatar, could Seller ever reveal any of his own emotions.

John Cleese tells the story of when he was working with Sellers, and Sellers came downstairs in the morning from just having woken up, and in the space of about a minute between the stairs and the kitchen, he spoke to Cleese and Chapman in four different voices/characters/accents. Cleese suddenly realized that Peter Sellers had no idea who he was anymore, and just kept using whatever voice he could think of.

Sellers walked off Royale the second his contracted shooting hours were up, even though that left the film only 70% finished and despite the fact his absenteeism and tantrums had meant the movie ran grossly over schedule. He also decided he despised Orson Welles, after the great man joked about his, Sellers' constant lateness to Sellers' face and proved a far more charming presence on set than Pete. So, he refused to shoot scenes he had with Welles with Welles present. You can imagine how that made things go.
