I actually am a huge fan of boards of canada. Which is the back ground music of this song. I use to listen to it so much. When i first immigrated to US, my parents got direct tv. Xm chill was one of their music channels. This is one of the songs they played in early 2000s and i searched them up on napster and limewire. Downloaded all their songs on my ipod which i still have and listen to. This song makes a nostalgic song 10x better.
Music is math is easily one of their best samples. Such a simple but incredible beat.
It absolutely shakes me to my core. There is something so sinister about it I can’t explain.
The beat is like if you were floating in space with nothing and you can’t die so your left to just float forever or if you couldn’t drown and was deep in the ocean just sinking slowly until you hit the bottom and it’s pitch black but you can still feel the pressure and temperature but your invincible to it.

Went to their concert back in 2016 in Dallas, they had videos of churches on fire, the video of 9/11 playing behind them while they performed. It was very eerie but really fit the mood. They have evolved alot as artists since then.

Everything you just said about this song is true. And that's how alot of us felt. I come from a troubled life, filled with violence, drugs and miserable feelings. I din't want nothing for myself and I didn't care about anyone. Not even myself. I was a bad human being and I'll probably pay for that in the afterlife. Alot of us have moved on from these horrible feelings and way of living. But this was/is theraphy for me today. It makes me remember all the anger that came from me feeling, well not worth of anything. I wanted to die, but I didn't have the balls to end it myself so i choose drugs.
Luckily I'm sober now almost 3 years and have a beautiful little daughter to live for. Life is good. But I'll never forget where I came from and it's brutal - Just like this song.
