It is quite addicting, same thing definitely happened to me haha. We have invested in playsets of everything so sky's the limit!

I had a different take on the pirate deck, but I am liking this deck list a lot!
as a pirate main i love the archetype. think pirates are definitely competitive just very underestimated!
and i would LOVE to have an autographed fake enchanted beast to keep as like a memorabilia thing

Pirates seems like a fun archetype to run
It really is super fun it's just not the best in the current meta in my experience. Who knows what they'll add next set to really push it over the top though. I'd like to see them support it more since it's really the only deck right now that is super location focused.

Thanks so much, I like to think of stuff that's not the obvious meta decks. Deckbuilding is one of my favorite parts of the game. I was one of the early ones on the pinnochio rafiki tech with R/A & now everyone & their mom is running it. 😆 🤣

I've been playing a pirates deck focused more on challenging with Queen of Hearts and Shere Khan. It's pretty fun! It doesn't run bayou because 3 will power is just too low to stay on the board, but it pretty much runs all the other locations, along with John silver and Jim Hawkins.

That's why I tried to offer some alternative to them for it to still be good but the deck definitely feels better with at least 2. I know a lot of people don't have a set, we consider ourselves very fortunate to have access to the cards we do.

Looks like a fun deck to build/play - I wonder how close it is to the one that Ryan Miller has talked about before in interviews - that he had built and likes to play.

I am new to TCGs what is your recommendations for card storage, sleeves, and organization of lorcana?
Those beast proxies are amazing!!! I love pirates but don't think their time in the meta is quite at hand
Thanks so much, yeah I'd agree for the most part. If the deck curves out well it can be pretty overwhelming for the opponent but then there's also games where you draw 3 jolly Roger's you don't need lol.

I really like the beast tragic hero proxy cards! Its some great art, and I understand why you cant sell, but I would like a play set just to have in deck when playing around with others.

Hey, thanks so much for the compliments! Locations have definitely shaken up the game for the better & made more decks viable which is awesome. I will say Jolly Roger is basically unplayable without having lots of pirates... but for this deck it's the GOAT. haha

But if you see it that way this it what keeps most cards balanced (at least mostly)

Amethyst Ruby is awesome, there's a lot of good decks these days but I'm definitely leaning that way for set championships.

Very cool deck. Been trying it on Pixelborn and this is probably my favorite currently. I am missing a lot of cards but have pushed them all to the top of my wish list. Fun factor is more important than having ‘the best’ deck for me, but this one is surprisingly good and you still get the fun pirate theme.
I’d love to see your take on a villain deck at some point. My Amber Amethyst villain deck is my labor of love currently and I am working on optimizing it.
We did do an amber amethyst aggro build video. John was previously playing it with the queen that boosts villians quest power but we cut her ultimately. I could definitely try my hand at putting something together one of these days.
Just brewed up a Sapphire steel deck I'm enjoying that I'll be sharing soon most likely. Appreciate the idea though, I have deck adhd sometimes haha.
Hope you continue to enjoy the pirate build, if I was going to tweak anything based on meta it would probably be dropping a red hook & the 2 jim hawkins for more direct removal if needed.

I like this version of the deck. I’ll be checking it out in lab. I definitely feel the pain of only having one play set of sad beasts.
It's 4 more sad beasts than a lot of people so I try not to gripe too much about it haha. I'd love to hear your exp with it if you try it!

I think I will always have steel in my decks. Just too good in my opinion.

Good, but not quite meta competitive, maybe with some cards from the next set.
Why teeth over ba-boom?? I dont see a benefit of teeth
Ba-boom could definitely also be good, the biggest benefit with teeth is the ability to sing it & if you have john with a couple locations you can actually do it without taking damage on your guy. Since the deck doesn't draw too much early singing can help free up some ink to get card draw going.
