- A whole lot of people wanted me to talk about each of the nature releases individually so I figured I would start here with fire release.
Sorry for the short video length and minimal editing - I've been super drowsy lately, probably due to personal business and whatnot. I've got a lot of stuff going on that's super draining, and I hate for it to affect my videos. Hopefully this doesn't become a recurring thing

Couple things:
A sufficient wind release jutsu absolutely could overwhelm and extinguish a much lower tier fire release jutsu.
Fire release has been used in conjunction with earth release multiple times. Usually either to hard-bake clay packed around an opponent for sealing purposes, or by building a giant kiln around an opponent and then flooding it with high-level fire justu to maximise thermal damage.
Fire and Earth release also creates Lava-based jutsu.
What do u think would happen if a non curse mark Chunin exam Sasuke and a Chunin exam Temari would fight?
Would his fireballs be able to overwhelm her wind? (Or is Chunin exams Temari just very op for a Genin?)
@@Patrick33194 Sasuke had a basic fireball jutsu at that point. Did he have anything more advanced than that for fire release?
Temari was able to knock back bodies and ninja tools with wind style, so Sasuke's basic fireball would certainly have been redirected at the very least.
So if Sasuke thought he could get the upper hand by using his fire style against the wind user, his best case scenario is that it gets extinguished. If he wasn't that lucky, he could get hit by his own jutsu and Temari's at the same time.
In terms of the fight as a whole, I think Sasuke would have had a difficult time closing in to his preferred range, and he'd have taken a real beating in the process, but ultimately he would get in close and at that point either Temari would get seriously injured or she would surrender.

He's says that, but it's not a fact. Wind typically is just a booster for Fire, but it can snuff it out if strong enough.
Actually, Fire Release technique was also used in conjunction with Earth Release technique in anime by Sarutobi Hizuren, when he fought Orochimaru. He used Earth Dragon Mud Balls or something, and then combined them with Fire Release technique if you remember that one.

Because what Naruto doesn't tell you is there is another style branch had has jutsu of every chakra type. Information on it is slim but we do know its name. Useless style. Funnily enough, like 99% of are jutsu in Naruto actually belong to Useless style.

Hey Swagkage, since you will probably eventually do a video on each of the chakra natures I think it will be really super cool if you talked about what would happen if you combined rasengan with each of them. We already have wind so 20% is done already. :) I know they don't go into in the manga or anime but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject. All the best!

I feel like if a wind technique is strong enough, and blowing directly against the direction of the fire technique, it should put it out, or even reverse the fire technique and strengthen it. You can blow out a candle if you blow hard enough and the fire is small enough.

Please explain Naurto vs Pain fight. Alot of people like to say the animation is terrible but in reailty it's not. I also read somewhere the animators paid homage to an older style of animation that inspired the fight scene and also to show how dramatic the fight between Naurto and Pain was.

This a more precise explanation for what I posted that I found.
Basically, if an elemental technique is put against another elemental technique of the same level, but of a stronger nature, then the technique with the superior nature will prevail. However, a technique with a weaker nature can overpower a technique with a stronger nature if the former is of a higher level. For example, fire can overpower a water technique if it is first strengthened by a wind technique.
A similar principle applies in how technique of the same element interact, what is called counterbalancing. If two techniques of the same nature and the same level are used against each other, they will cancel each other out, as when Lightning Release: False Darkness is deflected with Lightning Cutter. However, if the two techniques have different levels, the higher-level technique will not only prevail but will grow stronger from interaction with the weaker, as when Amaterasu, the highest level Fire Release technique, grew stronger by absorbing an opposing Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique.

Its a shame that you left out Amaterasu considering that it is one of the most famous techiques in Naruto and its the highest ranking fire release Jutsu ever to exist!
Wasn't sure if it posted but here is mine.
This is basically what Yamato said during Naruto's Wind Chakra Training. If a Chakra nature is up against its superior like a Wind Release against a Fire Release and has equal or less power it will either be negated or be absorbed into the stronger nature's jutsu and reflected back. Like if a weaker wind release would be put against a fire release it can strengthen the fires but that is their unique relationship. Take Sarutobi's Mud Wall when used against Tobirama's Water Shockwave. It blocked the attack, but as sarutobi was climbing it, Tobirama shot out water bullets that pierced the wall unless that was only an anime scene.
Basically no nature is 100 percent able to always over power it's inferior. But normally it takes a jutsu of much greater power for an inferior nature to overpower a superior nature, or multiple less powerful jutsu of the same nature to overpower a much stronger inferior nature jutsu. Like Madara's Majestic Flame Destroy, it took several others using a water wall jutsu to block it.

It's funny that naruto and hashirama are the ONLY ninjas that didn't become hokage during or immediately after a major battle/war.
tobirama became hokage in the early beginnings of the first ninja war. Hiruzen became hokage near the end of that war.
Minato became hokage not long after the third ninja war. Hiruzen reclaimed his title after the nine tails attack.
Tsunade became hokage after orochimaru's attack, and kakashi became hokage after the 4th ninja war.

I'm against you on that wind could never blow out fire. If you light up a lighter, you can blow the flames out. It will also work on a stove. Also, Zaku overpowered Sasuke's Phoenix Flower jutsu. So I guess it is safe to assume that it takes a powerful wind nature technique to put out fire.

I wonder why chakra takes the form of an element. Each nature release seems to give chakra a property. Fire gives it heat, wind makes it sharper, lightning causes it to vibrate, earth gives it solidity, and water gives it fluidity.
The rock-paper-scissors style of setup seems to depend partially on the elemental nature and also on the chakra property. For example, vibrations break down the solidity of an object, solids block fluids, and sharp things can split apart vibrations, though the last part is a bit of a stretch.
However, Heat is not inherently strong against sharpness, nor is it weak to fluids. This relationship completely depends on the actual element of the chakra in question. Water puts out fire and fire feeds off of wind. Also, wind insulates lightning.
I find this weird since if the user didn't actually transform their chakra into an element but still gave it the property, the balance of the natures would collapse. For instance, if a wind release user just sharpened their chakra instead of turning it into wind, it would no longer be weak against fire release. Instead it would probably split the fire and continue to attack the target. The Samurai actually seem to do this with their Samurai sabre technique, which has the same sharpness as wind release but without the elemental nature.
Day Six Well it works mostly like that. Wind release users essentially use wind chakra to sharpen the air and then they dont have to use more chakra. Just throwing their chakra is not efficient and would probably be very hard to control.
