It was an awesome day my dude! Could not have asked for a better way to end the trip and congrats on the great score at TR.
Thanks buddy! We’ll have to do it again soon!
Love this man and you got my reaction to my par sand save I love it!! Great video buddy!!
Of course! That was an insane par save!
That's a double on 12, missed the 3 footer coming back.
First tee nerves are a real thing on this course!
For sure! Now after playing there I wouldn’t have those same nerves. I’ve played much harder that look way less intimidating.
+6 seems like a helluva score there. Can't wait to play it for the first time tomorrow morning!
Have a great time! I was shocked with how well I played. But when you drive the ball great off the tee you can score well.
@@AlexNapierGolf My modest goal is to break 90. I'm pretty confident I can do that (maybe even 85) as long as I make sensible club choices and resist the temptation of going for the hero shot. But I'm really going to try hard to avoid those treacherous bunkers!
@@AlexNapierGolf Well, I actually did drive the ball well off the tee. Only missed two fairways all day. However, my approach shots were, uh, problematic and the putter wasn't cooperating much either. I quickly realized that my goals were very unrealistic. Got off to a rough start going + 8 thru 4, but then settled the ship to make the turn at +10 which wasn't terrible. But everything went off the rails starting at #11. Hit a perfect 3-wood leaving me about 185 left on that par 5 with the sharp dogleg to the right. Tried hitting a hybrid to the left of the green, but it cut way too much and got swallowed up by that gargantuan bunker took me about 6 shots to get out that monster and I made a 10. Followed that up with another 10 on the next hole. I hit at least 10 shots out of the sand between those two holes. After a triple on #13 I was already 16 over on the back nine. I limped in with a 99.
Despite the worst beating a course had ever given me, I absolutely LOVE the course and hope to give it another go one day.
@@PongGod I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the course! It’s one of the toughest I’ve played so it can eat anyone’s lunch.
Do people just drive in the waste bunkers?
There are some you can drive in but a lot of the cart paths are natural sand paths that seem like bunkers.
Alex how was the redesign on Southern Pines?
It was good! Greens were coming in nicely. There was still some work going on at the course but nothing that would affect play.
@@AlexNapierGolf taking a trip down there in a few weeks. Would you recommend southern pines or mid south club if you had to choose one ?
@@dylanfalso1035 I would recommend Mid Pines of those two. However, Pine Needles was my favorite of all the three courses.
your comment of it is not as difficult as it looks. I had a pool'd up 10th green, so had to cancel my score after the front. It was a beautiful course, If you play smart, its not hard at all, but you can run trouble quick
