Andrew’s out there cruising on the Death Loop in the least protective vehicle he could find. 😂 I don’t know much about Kei trucks, but this LiteAce seems a better option if only for being able to drive highway speeds, but it’s amazing how large the bed is. Regarding the bounciness, the air pressure might be too high. I had that issue when changing tire sizes on my car, but the ride improved considerably after adjusting it based the recommendation of an online _tire pressure calculator._ It didn’t occur to me the load rating would change when I increased the tire size so I needed to lower the air pressure instead of raising it due to increased volume. Lastly, tell Mrs. Saurus thanks for recording the video, she did a great job. PS: Contrary to what the other person said, you don’t need an external microphone, I could hear you fine.
@@AFTER_MIDNITE thanks bud. I’ll pass along the thanks to the Mrs. I’ll lower the air pressure a bit, too, and see how it rides. Regarding safety; I think of it as a motorcycle 🤣
This is really a nice liteace. The condition is awesome. I remember back in the 90s, i had to move, so we hired a van like this to do a moveb from where i was living at the time, here in my country. It's a very capable vehicle. Of course being Toyota they do run forever. You can probably upgrade the radio and add some tint, make it more badass. Awesome video though.
So…you’re the other guy driving around the San Antonio area with a white LiteAce pickup! :) I’ve had several people I know claim to have seen me in my truck at various locations - but it wasn’t me and it must have been you. I’ve got pretty much an exact twin of your LiteAce and I bet we have the only two in Central Texas. My LiteAce is a ‘92, also 4WD and with the 1810cc 2Y engine, but my truck has a slightly shorter bed (8ft) and it is also a dump bed. I imported it from Japan about 4 and a half years ago and I’ve been loving it. It would be great to meet up with you sometime and compare what we’ve each learned. Great, detailed video btw.
@@jkk244 same! I’ve heard people say they’ve seen me somewhere and I’m like huh, there has to be two, or they are confusing it with an Acty or a Carry or something. Hell yeah man, would love to meet up some time!
Looking at one of these, hiace, liteace or possible a bongo brawny for my next truck. Thanks for the walk through, haven’t seen one up close yet and this gives a better size comparison.
Importing from Japan should not be too expensive since their currency is not doing very well right now. Make a list of all the parts you think you might need and start hoarding.
What the hell you live in my neighborhood and I’ve seen it before! That’s the Walmart at 1560/Galm. I just bought my first KEI truck and am in the process of doing the paperwork so there will be a Subaru Sambar in the area too. Your Liteace is definitely bigger than a KEI truck. 👍
Hey man, I loved your video. I have subscribed and liked the vid...But I have to give you some feedback. The audio!!! If you are going to have someone record you, you might need to look into a RODE or DJI device to carry the audio. If you are going to hold the camera and narrate like at the 3 min mark. Then that will do. I think you have something. I hope you do more.
@@RocketGarageService thanks Mike. Yeah, a mic is needed for sure. I’ll jump on Amazon tonight and see what I can find. I wonder if using my Bluetooth earbuds would suffice in the meantime?
@@andrewasaurus Yeah man, the earbuds will probably pick your voice better. I see tons of people with the rode wireless microphone. I searched a bit and found it's called the Rode Wireless GO. @@brain8484 funny story, when I first went and text drove the truck back in October, I was driving in the rain. With the super low first gear, low end torque, hard ass old tires and slick roads, I actually mistook wheel spin for the clutch slipping 😂
@@noah786 I average 19.5-20mpg. It’s sometimes less, sometimes more. It depends on how long I warm it up, how much stop and go I sit in, how much highway driving, and if I run the AC or not.

Nice. I have a 89' Nissan Vanette dx... Basically the same way your truck is but a mini van. The engine's also under the passenger seat😂

A lot of the prices were raised to compensate the reduced currency value

Dunno if the importing from Japan is a lot cheaper, but from euro market you could get one with LHD. In my mind Kei trucks
