- It's time for another declutter series, 2021 edition! I'll start with foundations, concealers & powders and then continue with the rest of my makeup collection. So this is part 1 of 5 of my 2021 declutter series.

I love that you keep things that you like even though they are discontinued. I see a lot of you tubers declutter products they like just because they feel they can’t use them on camera and it seems such a waste.
Oh if I love and still use a thing it gets to stay :P it's only when I no longer use it or use it for comparisons it has got to go :P
I find it especially strange when regular consumers throw out things when the brand or collaborator gets "canceled." Like... You're not "proving" anything, you're not costing the brand anything (you already gave them your money), all you're doing is wasting your own money.
I can understand not wanting to use it on camera... But the average consumer isn't exactly doing that, anyway. 🤷🏻♀️

Agreed. I HATE it when people get rid of limited edition or discontinued items. Especially if they love it. Who cares what others think...
I got really tired of watching all the Black Friday sales videos especially after the onslaught of Sephora sales videos a couple of weeks ago. Glad to be here watching this.

I love watching them too, kind of makes me feel good I didn't spend money I don't have on things I don't need! Living vicariously through others 😅
Moving over an ocean is a HUGE deal, so of course it’s a valid reason. Don’t apologize or think you’re overstating. I know people who moved to another country-they literally had everything in crates to fly overseas. Made them donate, sell, trash, and gift a lot
Love declutters, they motivate me to do the same. I need to go back through my collection and purge. I don't have anything I don't like though, since I don't do anything make up as my job I get rid of what I don't like immediately lol.
I recently did an eyeshadow palette declutter. I liked all the palettes I had, but I decluttered the ones I never use. It was so nice to get rid of stuff
I looked on the Ulta site and it seems Nyx High Glass powder is exclusive to them now, so you can continue to purchase it when you move to the States! 💕💕💕
Texas weather is very different I wonder if your preferences will change in the new climate 🧐. Would love to eventually see a video on that😊 Who knows maybe powder foundations become your friend 🤷🏽♀️

also i just find it fascinating how different people's preferences are and also how their skin reacts to things, especially complexion products. because when you said you didn't like the shiseido foundations, i was shocked, then i laughed, because it is the closest to a holy grail foundation i have ever had. on me, it's the most natural, skin-like, long lasting... closest to my natural skintone foundation i have ever had. (the regular one, i'm not a dewy lover so i haven't tried the radiant one & probably never will.) i actually love seeing the differences, i don't understand why people get upset about it. for complexion products it's helpful to find someone who is similar to yourself, for me it's amanda z, i find we almost have the same loves in foundation (though she tends to prefer dewier versions than i do), so she's my go-to for if she likes or dislikes something i'm interested in. but it's still helpful to notice these things, cause then i can't help but wonder if i would like the ones that you dislike? lol.
Your declutters always remind me that not everything needs to be bought or tried. You've been raving about NYX powders for years and it's nice to see you genuinely still love them.

I remember cracking up when you tried that PM foundation. The pain on your face because you liked another expensive foundation. 🤣 Really just made me determined not to try it, because we generally have the same taste in foundation.
The same weird color appeared on my unopened/few months old CP tinted moisturizer. It wont be buying it again, I thought maybe it is because my country is too hot. But seeing yours, means it just doesn't last very long in storage.

At the moment, I'm literally just using CYO Lifeproof Foundation.. while I still have it! and the Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer. I don't hoard Foundation or concealer (everything else is a different story!! LOL!) I literally only have the ONE I'm using!!... 🤪✌🏼💜💜💜💜
Be careful how much are you planning to take. I was moving from Denmark to Norway on plane, after studying there for two years and I was trying not to get stuff. It was three check in luggages and a backpack. It was uncomfortable to move all the stuff, and each thing you will bring will add weight and cost, so rethink twice what are you taking :D Good luck!

After suffering severe tremor for the last 20 years I've found a med that works. I'd love to be able to have the money to buy makeup and feel good about myself again. On a fixed disability income I enjoy looking forward to my Ipsy packages. 🥰

Your declutters help me really toss the bums out of my house. It starts with my makeup and then I’m purging my wardrobe, kitchen, and then idk the new year feels new. I am going to cry at your eyeshadow palettes… that’s so much surface area. But the cool thing about living in the states, shipping isn’t terrible… all the colour pop Sephora held items could be repurchased if you miss them terribly.
It's that time of the year again. Time to look at somebody else hoard of makeup so I can feel better about myself (eyeing at my big box of lipsticks and at my two boxes of loose eyeshadows ahem) and feel inspired in using more my stuff. I'm excited!!!
I love how you set your boundaries regarding lots of make up and people asking you. I know u have mentioned before but it’s always key to go over. Some may do it cutely.. and others well, they are just the entitled type to ask, either just cause they are always entitled people or they fail to see even if u may be given stuff by a company, but nothing is free, you have to try it, give reviews etc.
Great places to give & it u have more make-up stuff to declutter and give away besides close friends and family (even if opened just once) are Women’s shelters or shelter that help women get employed. This stuff is a REAL treat for them. I think u do donate though, no? I think I recalled a video of u saying you save something to give to women’s shelters.. unless I mixed u with someone else.. my little knoggin can only hold so much. ☺️💖

I just found the NYX tint which is discontinued right up at my drugstrore in black friday 🕺🏾 of course I grabbed that one!
Been watching all of these as I pack to go home for christmas.. been moving throughout europe for a few years, living out a suitcase, and i honestly dont know how you get all this makeup to the states even with the declutters haha!!! I hope nothing breaks. Good job decluttering!

I wish I got back ups in the Becca under eye primer. It really helps my creasing if I use a very thin amount before foundation and concealer
My favourite and only one foundation is Catrice All Matt Plus in 010 Light Beige. It was recommended by near beauty shop and it's 98% matches to my skintone. The coverage is meduim-full. It's PERFECT for my oily skin. And it doesn't grease, it isn't patchy. This foundation works even better with some matte or setting powder.
Maybe, when I finish my foundation, I will buy another bottle, but I want to try other Catrice foundation, My True Skin.
The Colourpop tinted moisturizer expires rather quickly. It is fine if you use it everyday. I like the coverage level and the price point is reasonable. It isn’t ideal for me, at the moment. I have several foundations that I rotate between, along with a few skin tints.

I had that kind of icky separation going on with the colourpop skin tint too. It was also a brand new, unopened tube. Didn’t happen with my first one, just the new one i got a few months ago. 🤢

I love your declutter videos. I am going to a huge, ruthless declutter of my ridiculously huge make up collection before the new year. I won't be decluttering my eyeshadow palettes, though. I did that a few years ago, and I regretted losing them. But, the reasons you use are brilliant. I especially like 'these are very similar, but I reach for this one more often', so, thank you!! Xxx

I found the Becca skin tint at my local Marshall’s in my shade and I picked it up!! It looks so lovely on my skin 😍
The infallible powder foundation in a deeper shade makes a nice bronzer or contour depending upon the color. I hate powder foundation as foundation lol but I wanted to let you know because I have problems with bronzers removing coverage so I like powder foundation for it.

What is it about declutters that make me so happy and calm? Can’t wait to see the rest! If you’re moving to USA by plane is no wonder you’re stressed out, just your eyeshadow collection is going to take a couple of suitcases! I’ve moved countries before that way, but I was 21 and my worldly possessions didn’t take more than a suitcase… my last move required a moving truck 🙈. Would you recommend the fenty skin tint as a substitute for the nyx bare with me? I’m about to finish mine and can’t seem to find anything half as good 😑. 💛
It's not the exact same finish but about the same coverage and longevity (on me)

@@Acidfunkish This! The funny thing is that they keep things that aren’t that good in the main line forever… I really hope they bring the bare with me formula back cos my skin has never looked better (not to mention those shades were fantastic for fair olive skin, which never happens!)
@@adaynadir Oof, same here. Bare With Me was the first NYX (and first drugstore) foundation I could wear, finally, because the lightest shade actually has a pink undertone, rather than the usual super super yellow shade range (and lightest shade). It matches me REALLY well, for once.
I liked the Born to Glow concealer, too, for undereyes. I generally prefer a lighter coverage, natural - radiant undereye concealer, because I'm getting older, and super matte, full coverage ones tend to make my undereyes look like the Sahara. 😬
I would have really liked the Born to Glow finishing powder, too, if the shade range had been better (and with some different undertones). The lightest shade in that (and there are only 2-3, iirc) was pretty dark and very gold. It looked like I was wearing gold highlighter all over my cheeks. So I prefer the Hourglass powders, still, because they at least come in different shades and undertones. If NYX had made a lighter one in a more neutral or cool undertone, I would've bought 3 backups.
I often don't even find out about products for my skin tone, until like, a year or two after release. I don't watch a lot of drugstore content, but I occasionally check for new favs from super pale beauty CZcamsrs. When it's from NYX, though, there's like an 80% chance it's already discontinued.
NYX never used to be like that. I really don't like how they've been doing things, lately. 😕

The CT concealer can be such a pain to open sometimes. I have spent forever some days trying to get it open before just giving up and using a different concealer. Don’t know if I got a faulty component but I that will keep me from repurchasing.
That NYX concealer though…so happy you recommended because I love that concealer for under eyes!
Right before it got discontinued, I think. If you're talking about the Born to Glow one. NYX has gotta stop releasing 100 new things per year, and then discontinuing 80% of them within 3 years. 😒

I am trying my makeup stash down to mininum.
So handy! I plan on buying a concealer with the black Friday discount but wasn't sure what to look for. My skin is normal but 50+ so wrinkles are a thing.
I'm so fair I only ever need 1 shade of everything (if they make my shade) as I never tan. I can't go one shade down on products 🤣 they don't make anything fairer than my skin as I'm almost pale blue. I have so many loose powders that I need to sort because nothing can compete with the Chantecaille pressed blurring powder, I got that after Theresa Is Dead raved about it and I got a back up in the Black Friday sale, the finish is so good. I do like the Fenty lavender loose powder for some brightening.

One piece of advice re what you declutter: if it’s a drugstore product and still available, it will almost certainly be cheaper to replace than carry across the Atlantic and a good chunk of the USA.
What a horrifying advice, money is not everything, there is also the environment, what a wasteful approach, so sad people think this way 😔
@@user-nm7lw2dh8n yes, there’s the environment - and it’s more expensive to bring cheap things on a plane flight than it is to replace them. Especially when we’re talking about makeup, which has expiration dates that won’t justify the cost of transporting them via plane. Since global migration is a pretty common thing, there’s lots of research on this topic that bears out the idea it is better to replace than transport at under a certain price point.
Just think when you get to the states you will have the PERFECT excuse to go shopping for make up! 😂🤡 Wait... Maybe I should move?🤔🤯😂😍 I hope you have an easy low stress (as much as possible) move!

Oh boy, you are merciless!! But I understand the move is a huge motivation to scale down. So out of 40 foundations you decluttered 50%, thats really good - and I should really do the same. I have never counted, but I might have at least 100 different foundations, if I count every different shade, and that is not counting the powder foundations - its my favourite makeup item, and I try almost everything new and exciting and have all my favourites in both my summer and winter shade. And I dont even do professional makeup or Social Media! Help! I really need to declutter a lot too. I do agree in most of the ones you are keeping though, they are stars in my foundation wardrobe too. I look forward to the palettes, I guess that palettes is your "weak spot" ? :-D
