The BEST conditions for Landscape Photography are fleeting - are you ready?

- The best morning conditions for landscape photography often include fog but these atmospheric conditions can be fleeting.
Picture the scene, you wake up early, look outside and it's proper foggy. Bleary-eyed, you drag on some clothes, grab a coffee and then realise all your gear is strewn over the living room as you had forgotten to repack your bag. You look outside, still foggy. You pack your gear, grab another coffee and pile into the car. As you near your location (unplanned, but it's just what came to mind) the fog is thinning - damn. There's still some though. Park up, get a parking ticket and get the mic on quick. The fog is thinning still - hope there's charge in the batteries...... DAMN.

Thanks for helping me get off my backside by showing views that I just take for granted where I live. Your vids are always thoughtful and encouraging! Thank you.
Thank you so much
Yes, same for me. I get lazy... but these videos help me !
Lovely images, Andrew. Your photo adventures are inspiring. Spring has arrived here in East Tennessee USA and my cameras are calling 😊
Enjoy!
I'm the same. Love fog, but as soon I'm at my favourite location it's gone.
Sod's law, innit?
Greetings from Australia Andy, another great video I thoroughly enjoyed watching and the images you captured were absolutely beautiful.
Many thanks!
quite nice. Thank you.
Hi Andy, thanks for another wonderful video of your outing to this lovely spot. You always amaze me with the unexpected images you capture.
Thank you, Peter.
Well done, Andrew. Great work, as always
Thank you, Eric. Great to have your support. It is much appreciated.
Thanks Andrew, for another great video. Always love your perspective! Cheers from Canada
Wow, thank you so much for the Superthanks! That's so kind of you.
15:42 tripod ---- yep ; that's what I have become --- a lazy photographer because cameras today are so easy/too easy to use hand held And I know if I use a tripod I will take less photos but I have more better photos .
16:40 I love it mate! Although my photo may have been just the bent tree ; and maybe one other (??) . Now I typed that before you made 'my' photo LOL . Bit too dark for me --- I much prefer the exposure of the first image .
22:45 the scream: Again ; love it mate . So many think they need an wide angle lens or even an uwa lens for outdoor photography . You have explained so well the fact a longer lens is often better.
Thanks again for the inspiration ; wish I had your light without physical coldness
Aside from anything photographic, I'm especially impressed by how well your zither playing is coming along - provides a curious but not unpleasing accompaniment to the images. Anyway... kind of funny in that i put this vid on, reading the text accompanying it, watched ten minutes and realized i was squandering the best part of a foggy dawn. Luckily everything was already scattered around the boot of the car. Six hours later i've just watched the second half. Glad you had a good morning and got some fine images - i believe i did too but my computer had a meltdown, taking with it the back-up drive with 18 months of images on it, and i'm now waiting on a new one to start my photography career afresh with. I'm trying to be brave about it and, dare i say it, watching you helps! All the best, Andy - looking forward to the next one.
Love a good Zither but to watch a video whilst there's good-old murk outside. That's dedication.
@@AndyBanner Torn I was, with my nice cup of tea, but the murk won. Good thing too - it hung around in the folds in the ground until half ten. Lovely stuff - better even than mud.
Thank you Andrew ! You really give me courage !
thanks
Hello, Andy.
A very nice video.
Another beautiful area where you are.
This kind of nature is rarely found here.
I started working more with colors.
And I have to honestly say that I really like it.
I still have a lot to learn about color photography, but I will be fine.
Thank you for sharing this video, I enjoyed watching it.
Greetings from the Netherlands,
Antoine.
Hi, Antoine,
Yes, there are many beautiful areas around where I live. I am truly lucky to be here, but like most people, I still want to visit other places that aren't local despite being quite unaware of areas that are close by. Weird things, us humans.....
I am glad you are enjoying colour. You're a good photographer and the colour work I have seen from you is very pleasing.
I hope you are well. Check your email inbox.
Andy
Most people would see nothing in that gloom, but you pulled it off once again Andy, it's all about taking your time and being patient, enjoyed the video again mate, take care, Steve.
Thanks, Steve. It's a shame it wasn't more "gloomy". We so rarely get a good fog in these parts.
Andrew you need a jackery 250 portable lithium generator. Great for charging your camera / drone battery’s on the go. It also has the fast charger port ❤
Not sure how I would carry that..... I always have at least one 2000mah battery pack with me and that's as heavy as my 40-150 lens!
Yes it is a little bulky, I keep mine in the car and just charge as I travel, great for when your doin an over night trip 👍
If I ever do overnight trips, I try to use the motorhome - if I can afford the 20Mpg consumption rates!
Which stately home was it? Thanks❤
This is Felbrigg Hall, just outside Cromer. It's a National Trust property.
Thanks👍@@AndyBanner
Thanks Andrew a walking lesson really enjoyed that. Off to that location tomorrow as it happens. Loved the framing of the tree 👍
