Can you just remove a fuse to do the same thing? I get a strange sound at a certain RPM range, which seems like it comes from my front speakers on my 675LT Spider, and I'm thinking it's the ISG pumping it in. It almost sounds simulated. Would pulling a fuse throw a code? I could probably easily disconnect it, but I'd rather leave it connected if I can just pull a fuse for now. I'm still under extended warranty, so I don't want to do anything that would even remotely void it.
What you're hearing is in fact ISG. I'm not aware of a fuse to pull to only effect that.
I've heard of idle issues when this part is plugged in. Have you experienced this issue on other cars you have worked on. I have a 2013 MP4-12C. The hose on mine was disconnected when I purchased the car and I plugged it back in. Havn't noticed any issues really.
Hose disconnected without deleted will barely run on the cars that have the diaphragm at the intake.
No codes if plug not connected? Also, if there is a leak in the diaphragm,it may make sense to plug up the hose end? Prevent engine fumes?
Any diaphragm leak would be minute. If you disconnect it there are no codes on the user side.
Hello, does the McLaren GT have an ISG? I have a 2021 GT. Do you sell the kit for it?
Might also want to take the chance to clean (Carefully!) the inside of the glass before tossing it back on… much easier to get to while it’s out. 😎
I just bought 720s too… do you have any videos install body aftermarket kit? . That would be nice
I don't, I've done a few things but most for like garbage and need a lot of time to make them right.
@@McMedics I just did the oil change for my 720 s… accidentall put little more than I should. After check the oil it says overfill. However I already put everything back together, what is your suggestion?
Remove the oil filter, put in a fresh one. That's about 0.1-0.2 liters. If you need more you can suck out the oil in the housing also. That will be another 0.2 or so. That's an easier way than draining the sump and refilling.
@@McMedics you mean I can pump the oil out from housing where we put the oil in?
Hello
So I tried contacting you regarding some questions about my car if u have a way so we can talk please respond to me thank u
FYI my 675LT Spider does not have a volume control for the ISG.
@@McMedics No, it's not there. I had a 12C and remember it being there in the vehicle menu settings. There's no option for it on the 675LT Spider, I went through every single menu setting and it's not there anymore.
That's cool to see the engine exposed. Maybe this is a bad idea but I kind of would just want to remove that interior cover and leave it that way.
Definitely shouldn't do it by just removing, but there is an option in 765LT for a window there. It can get dirty though, only cleanable by removing it.
less weight= it goes faster
Just an FYI, the ISG doesn't send sound to the audio system, that large hose on the front T's off & plumbs into the cabin. On the 12c/650 etc the volume adjustment controlled how open the valve was.
Great vid tho Sean, keep doing what you're doing 👏 👍
They all go through the hose but it is in some capacity piped in, I believe. They all use the same plug but on the 720 I know if the valve opens it just faults and runs like garbage but doesn't get much louder.
