    Well, you taught me something new, but investing into a boat that we won't do. 😂
    We'll stick to camping, water wrafting, and mountain hiking on the ground. 😂
    I enjoyed your video and applaud you and your husband for daring to explore outside the norm. Lessons were learned, and you conquered one of your greatest challenges.

      It was a whole adventure. We wanted more ways to adventure as well. Now we struggle with which adventure to take because we feel like one or the other is being neglected. Thanks for watching. 😁

    Great video. Night boating can be sketchy at times but you guys did very well. You should get a chart subscription for your Garmin screen. The Garmin is a powerful piece of equipment. Properly setup you will have great confidence in all navigational scenarios. Look at the Navionics or a G3 subscription. Money well spent. You should have much more detail on your screen (depth, contour, markers etc) Also you should look into a radar. Way more useful than the sionix in my opinion. You will need it if you run into fog for sure. If you get one with chirp/doppler you can also see weather in the distance. We run at night or in fog with complete confidence. Always nice to see "beautiful people" out on the water. Cheers and good luck!

      We will definitely be doing some major homework after this trip so thank you for all the suggestions. I have the Navionics app but had not had the opportunity to really study its features. I do believe it is much better than Wavve. Wavve was very user friendly and helped quickly with minimal learning curve but I know there’s better. Jay has already said he’s going to really dig in to the Garmin as well. The radar suggestion is a gem as well. We’re going to get ourselves all situated. Thank you again for watching and the kind words. Happy New Year and safe travels to you all.

    You guys did great. I will tell you get use to taking the boat out at night time. You will be surprised what you see at night only that you won't see during the day. Plus during those hot summer days, night fishing is the best.

      Thanks and many thanks for checking out the video. it was definitely different and will take some getting use to. I think I’d really like being anchored at night on the boat and fishing but limiting the night navigating. 😊

    Enjoyed your video. Can I offer a couple suggestions? Some new people to your channel (me) may not know anything about the boat. I’d suggest in every video mention at the beginning the model of boat and length. In today’s video you could have talked about how much fuel you started with and so on. Also mention how far you went and how much gas you burned.
    I’m more apt to watch a particular model boat put thru its paces than just a family on a cruise.
    Anyway, enjoy your boating and look forward to your next adventure.

    • @MySUPRunnethOver
      @MySUPRunnethOver  Před 13 dny

      @@bill29456 Thanks for your suggestion. I will definitely start adding it in the description of the videos. I’ll be honest, I have no desire to attempt to sale anyone on this boat in the videos I post. I do lean more towards sharing our experiences and how we use the boat, or any of our other recreational vehicles, on our outings. That style of content may not be for everyone but if you get some enjoyment out of it, I appreciate that. We are still learning a lot about boat life so I would dare say we are savvy enough to compete with a Nauti Styles type channel 😊 in giving viewers the ins and outs of our boat but we love their content for how technical it gets when we’re wanting that style of content. Really appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts.

    Thank you for sharing your experience. Sorry Jay got sick - and happy that you arrived safely in the dark. Me and my wife have been looking at purchasing a MF 795 or 895 so it was good to see how it performed in a little rougher conditions.
    Also the best sea sickness medicine I have found is "Kwells" - has less drowsiness effects, and is fast acting.
    Thanks again & Happy Holidays!

    • @MySUPRunnethOver
      @MySUPRunnethOver  Před 7 měsíci

      Thanks for watching and the medicine suggestion. I’ll check it out. We have had a few rough cruises and it has performed well. It just takes some getting use to and we’re still in the process of that 🤭 We wanted to stay in trailerable range since we don’t live on or near a marina so we went 795. If we did, we likely would have gone with the 895 for the wonderful extra berth. You’ll find what’s best for you. 😊 Happy boat hunting and Happy Holidays to you all as well.

      Yes, I’ll be sure to add that to our first aid kit. He really thought it was the gas fumes but, he didn’t get sick until he went below deck so maybe a combination of both. These tough lessons we’re learning have us feeling like we’re earning our stripes as captains for sure. I hadn’t made fried cinnamon and brown sugar apples in a long time, so they really hit the spot. 😊
