Now, see, I was thrilled to find that Mystical Moments was glossy 🥰 I pre-ordered it from US Games because I, too, had been waiting for it. I thought the cardstock would be the same as the oracle, and I *still* ordered it lol. Being a gloss-lover, it's been entertaining to see various walkthroughs where people come up with different ways of downplaying the glossiness --- "semi--gloss", "fans very nicely", "not too laminated", "not sticky". I did watch a couple walkthroughs of Mystical Moments before receiving the deck (delayed for a week due to snowstorm) and I had no idea it was glossy! Imagine my delight! But then, a lot of us don't film cards, so it's totally an aesthetic thing. I'll be looking forward to seeing your mod 😀
To be honest gloss wouldn't bother me at all if it weren't for the filming. Before my CZcams days, I didn't care what finish was on the cards as long as I could work it. I'm way more turned off by the gilding than the gloss hehe. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

I love Earth Wisdom Oracle, especially the guidebook with herbs and stone correspondences and the affirmation at the end. I always get out the corresponding stone to meditate with during my readings.

Claudia Olivos' deck is one of my favorites. Her artwork speaks to the Soul. I love how her goddesses & sacred mothers are more ethnically painted. Check out her website! Her sculptures are divine. 😍 So much intention goes into all her offerings.

I would love to see a comparison of the goddess/sacred mother decks you have, to see what’s the same and what’s different. I feel like there are soooo many decks showing the same goddesses as all the other decks have before them, and I’d love to see some new decks that branch out into different cultures than “the usual” for inspiration. IDEALLY, for me: a whole series of decks with uniform dimensions/finish/edging, each exploring goddesses (and gods, too!) from only one culture at a time - made by or in partnership with people from that culture! Some day, perhaps!

What a good Haul. The Sacred Mothers and Goddesses is beautiful. I had never seen it. I also find it difficult to own different Goddess decks ... Not sure how to use them all ... I really enjoy working with the Earth Wisdom oracle. It gives me very clear messages. I often use it with my Druidcraft and they work very well together. I can't order the Tarot of Mystical moments yet in Europe but can't wait .. I love her artwork soooooo much ( I'm from Belgium, the land of Magritte and surrialism 😉)

I wanted to mention that I am currently working on a second deck of the Sacred Mothers and Goddesses, with more diversity; to include: Oshun, Black Tara, Sedna, Amaterasu, Coatlicue, and more - I have a long list, and my aim is to eventually publish 3 decks that will work together. I also wanted to mention that the images come forth quite magically, and "as the energy wishes" to be represented on the canvas, so this is why some do not "look" as traditionally depicted or imagined, but I hope and trust that the messages intended come through powerfully!

Good to see the Mystical Moments deck... it's been on my wish list. Glossy cards have the colours poppin'~ so that's an upside~
That they do and honestly, it didn't bother me until I started making videos. It's just hard to shoot them properly which is why I groan every time I get one that's glossy lol. But they do make the colors look pretty.

I have the first edition of the Telluric Runes. It is one of my favourites! The pairing of the runes with a gemstone and a herb/plant just works really well and adds a lot of depth to the readings. First bought because I simply loved her art, but I absolutely fell in love with the deck. I have her Telluric Tarot as well!

@@DawnMichelleTarot My pleasure. I've had the Earth Wisdom Oracle for about a year. It's one of my favs. Unfortunately, it hasn't held up well. I'm about to edge it to see if it will give it new life. The readings are amazing though. 💞 You don't need the guidebook to work with it, but the stones and herbs are represented in the artwork, so I often check the associations in the guidebook after I've read intuitively. By now, I feel like I know most of the herbs and stones represented in the deck. Sorry for the ramble. It was one of my 2020 fans. 😆

Earth Wisdom Oracle is one of my favorite decks. I have paired it with Druidcraft, Hidden Realms, and Robin Wood. I love the guidebook by Barbara Moore. Just enough information. The herbal and crystal correspondences is a lovely addition. I am creating a crystal set just to use with this oracle.

I don't have any of these (yet) but am definitely looking harder at the Earth Wisdom Oracle now! I'm waiting on a bunch of decks I ordered in December including Tarot of Mystical Moments and Ad Orbita Tarot! We have to wait quite a lot longer for decks in the UK so I'm tormenting myself watching walkthroughs! I'd love to see some goddess deck comparisons as I haven't yet found one that really suits me ✨

I just got the Sacred Mothers and Goddesses oracle which I am enjoying except that for some of the images it's difficult to recognise who they are representing such as Kuan Yin who doesn't look like Kuan Yin in this particular deck.

The cover art for Tarot of Mystical Moments was off-putting for me. (Twins are creepy to me in the same way that clowns are to some folks.) But now that I’ve seen the rest of the deck, this might go on my wishlist. The gloss doesn’t bother me unless it’s sticky and prevents riffle shuffling. The gilding is problematic; will probably strip it off in a mod.

I like the look of the Sacred Mother & Goddess Oracle and the Mystical Moments which I have pre-ordered. As a rule I love gilding but I know that it doesn't take long before it wears off. We all have such different taste but from a practical stance, glossy card stock is a nightmare for Instagram or videos because of the way it reflects light. However, I cannot wait to receive my Mystical Moments which is not released until April in the UK. As always enjoyed your video. 😀😀💙

I literally added the first few decks you talked about to my wishlist and I'm like... WHYYY am I watching a Dawn Michelle haul right now?!?! lol On the Tree Angels - what about trimming three sides and leaving the bottoms/keywords? I've done that with a few decks, like the Osho Zen Tarot and really like the effect! I pre-ordered Tarot of Mystical Moments... even though I previously rehomed Oracle of Mystical Moments (that one may end up boomeranging back to me.....)

As I'm in the UK I have to wait until April for the Tarot of Mystical Moments as US Games don't ship internationally (boo!), I can't wait as it looks stunning. I love the larger size and that it is glossy as I'm not a fan of matchy matchy decks. Shiny gilding...meh....I'm with you...matt gilding would havd been lovely but other than that a matt colour edging would be my preference.....or just leave it alone....love your impulse purchases...glad I'm not the only one...😂.

Uhh I can’t bring myself to modify decks. I feel there is magic in the borders. That’s just me though. Lol

I LOVE the Earth Wisdom oracle! I had a tarot reading with Jess from Stellar Rain Dancer, here on CZcams, and she closed the reading with a pull from this deck. I got Heart Healing and immediately went out and bought this deck. I absolutely adore it! It feels like a hug every time I pull a card! 💕

I am looking for a tree oracle .. I love trees and I am still looking for trees oracle .. because I love the energy that comes with trees .. I think I might end up doing my own research and my own oracle .. because I need the energy of trees and if I can .. I would grow a tree inside my home .. sometimes I wish I live in a treehouse instead of a regular one 😅

I have the Earth Wisdom Oracle. I got it because I'm always looking for a nice Irish deck. Lol. The location in card 9 is quite near where I live. I like the art work a lot. I think the Celtic Universal Tarot is the same artist but I was disappointed to see that it had dragons, leprechauns and other magical creatures which is not my jam at all so I never got it. I edged the Earth Wisdom in dark green which lifted it a bit.

You might also be able to trim the Tarot of MM to be more or less the same size as it Oracle of MM. If you do, please make a video of it.😀

I need Tarot of the Mystical Moments so badly. The only thing that bothers me is the gilding. As for gloss on cards, I prefer matte in general, but I hope no deck creator ever will design a deck and take into consideration whether it will film or photograph well into the decision of whether to make it glossy or not. I mean, it's not what decks actually are intended for and so should never affect that design choice. That said I would have preferred if the deck was matte like the oracle because they would match better if it were. Given they have the same art style and design it was an odd choice to not design the tarot the same as the oracle.
I totally agree with that... deck creators should make the deck that speaks to them, not one that looks good on social media. 🙂 The gilding bother me more than anything so I'll probably just trim it off and edge the deck to match the oracle. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

For the tree Oracle deck what if you took the border off from around the sides and top but left it on the bottom so you can see the difference without it taking away from the art?

What was it about December 2020 for deck buying? I bought or preordered or kickstarted an insane amount of decks! I wasn't depressed or anything....decks just came to me....LOL! I love the artwork of Sacred Mothers and Goddesses and the Earth Wisdom. I'm sorry the Mystical Moments deck production let you down. That's really disappointing. Can we all send complaint emails about gilding and tell publishers they don't need to do it! I hate the seemingly mandatory addition of gold gilding...hate it! And now it's silver gilding....geez. Oh....that rune deck is gorgeous! Love all your new goodies! thanks for sharing with us!

@@DawnMichelleTarot I forgot to tell you that I am so attracted to the Universal Folk Oracle. Love the artwork, even though it looks a little "young" like you mentioned. It's reminiscent of editorial illustrations from the 60/70's that I love to this day. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Sacred Mothers and Goddesses sure does have a bunch of young, thin women in it. Wouldn't you want experience and wisdom in your goddesses? So looking forward to Tarot of Mystical Moments. I am not a super shuffler so the size is kind of a moot point, and I seldom mod so although the gilding might be a poor choice, the art is to die for. You say you have others decks like this, but the only one I can really think of that's at all like this is Dreamkeepers. If you have others, I'd love to know what they are cause this is my kind of art. Thanks for the great video!
I'm going to do a video at some point showing the decks I have that are similar. I do really, really wish someone somewhere would create a goddess deck with some older women and much more diversity. If anyone knows of one, let me know! I feel the same way about the Queens and Kings in Tarot, so tired of seeing super young, magazine gloss in my courts. They are the nature energy, I would love to see that represented. Sorry, rant over hehe. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
I felt exactly the same way about the goddesses - and also noticed they all seem to have basically the same (typically “white”/European) facial features, with just some (but not nearly enough) diversity of skin tone to tie them to a different culture. The darkest skin I saw was not very dark, and there was only a handful of darker tones. I do love the art style but as a comprehensive goddess deck it’s just not enough.
I can't find a video of you and the Oak Ash and Thorn tarot, did you ever make one or is that still in the works? Would love to see your take on it.

Dawn, So allowed to feel any way you want about a deck especially when you are the one using it. I think we all feel that way. I most certainly don't keep or use a deck if there is just something off about it TO ME. We are all unique in our own ways. :0) Love that Earth Wisdom Oracle you shared. I have the Earth Wisdom Oracle, love it. Have The Wisdom of the Trees Oracle, very pretty. The Tree Angel Oracle and like that one very much. I am waiting on Tarot of Mystical Moments i do like gloss in some cards but understand it is very hard to film and big cards are hard for me to shuffle as i have small hands. I find it odd that the Tarot of Mystical Moments is Oracle size and the Oracle of Mystical Moments is Tarot size. I would very much like to see a comparison with the Sacred Mothers and Goddesses Oracle. Love all your videos. Stay Safe and be Blessed !
That was kinda what I found odd too, it's like they swapped the sizes for some reason. I don't mind the bigger size so much as it makes it easier to see the artwork, it's just the glossy makes it hard to work with on camera. I am also SO OVER shiny gilding. Matte is lovely, but I'd rather have none than shiny.

This is so funny, I traded a deck for the tree angels oracle and then I see you talking about it on here. I can’t wait to see your thoughts on it, because I am excited to work through it. I currently live in the tropics (zone 9b. Ugh.) and cannot garden a lot of my favorite plants and trees, so I have to live vicariously through others who have a more welcome climate to flora.

I've trimmed off 3 sides of borders before, leaving one side of the border with the card titles on it. It may make the backs look a little wonky. But if that makes the deck functional for you, it might help. 😊

OMG why why why did US Games just use the same card stock and produce the Tarot of Mystical Moments to match the oracle! The oracle in my opinion is perfect and this is just so disappointing that they decided to go with glossy cards and gilt edges :-(

I'm absolutely in love with the Tarot of Mystical moments, it's a phenomenal deck. I was actually very impressed with the production quality; the larger size gives justice to the art, and the silver edging seems pretty robust actually, and matches beautifully with the greyish greenish backs. I'm not normally a fan of glossy stock, but I'm kinda ok with this one, and in fairness, it didn't really catch your lights in the review, so I'm hoping it's still a deck that will work for folks who do video readings. All in all, this is highly individual of course; one person's fave is another person's pet peeve! I'm sorry you feel disappointed but at least it's a deck that lends itself to a cool mod, and the art is just out of this world amazing.
To be honest, before my CZcams days gloss didn't bother me at all. It only disappoints me now because it's so hard to work with on camera. When it's just for me, I don't mind the gloss. Some of my favorite decks are super glossy. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

Really enjoyed your sharing this collection of decks. Can you edge over the top of the gilding in Mystical Moments? The images are so cool. Also loved the art in Wisdom of Trees.
I think some people have tried to edge over gilding and it either doesn't stick or eventually flakes back off. I've never personally tried it tho. I'll probably just trim it off which will also make the cards a little smaller for me. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

I have to agree with you on the size of Tarot of Mystical Moment I wish it was more tarot size or I should say same size as the Oracle the glossiness and the gilding don’t bother me as much so I’m excited to see what you do with it !!!!! 🤨 I’ll be watching!!!! That Earth Wisdom Oracle has been on my radar....looks like I may cave!!!

Ha! Earth Wisdom has been on my wish list for so long. I am excited to see what you think of it. These are all really soothing decks I think. :) I wonder if they had production issues with the Mystical Moments Tarot because although my gilding is not soft to the touch at all and I wish it were, it is not flaking or coming off at all for me. Strange. I knew you would not like how they made the cards larger. It's tough to balance out everyone's preferences. But I also know you can do amazing things when you mod your decks! Can't wait to see your changes. :)

I've got the EW Oracle, love the artwork. The almost 'photo realism' of some of the people in the cards makes some of them feel a little more modern than the rest of the characters, that would be the one teensy thing that bugs me. I pretty much stalk Barbara Moore's guidebooks and buy all the decks.
