Meniscus tears often bring pain and discomfort to the knee resulting in surgical treatment for patients. Previously, meniscectomies were the common solution to bring short-term relief. However, a research article published in Arthroscopy, titled "Assessing the Resident Progenitor Cell Population and the Vascularity of the Adult Human Meniscus", revealed the healing potential of the meniscus and the surrounding tissues.
