@@kuntegable3009 you are a kid under me!!
While I applaud the resolve, resilience, heart you have exihibited; you quickly switched to loud and wrong in a heartbeat!
Once again I'm asserting that LIFE DIDN'T ALWAYS MEAN LIFE IN THE LOUISIANA PRISON SYSTEM!
Until the law was changed in 1979 lifers came home!
      Yes parole was difficult!
Yes the parole board was controlled by:anti Black, pro law enforcement, pro segregationists, anti criminal reform folks, straight up racists...
1 uncle came home in 1977! Money talked....
Were you even aware of the laws then?!
You dudes just say anything on the Internet!
Disrespect other men when you claim you have honor!
I had 3 close family members that did time then and sadly countless other friends, neighbors etc!!
Back when Louisiana ONLY HAD 2 MALE PRISONS & HUNTS WAS THE 3rd just opening before I started traveling between New Orleans, Southern California and Northern California!!
      I'm talking about La. History.
      Facts not opinions.
Alot of this was alluded to and insinuated,if not outright communicated in the Wilbert Rideau Angola Documentary!
You have had to and had to study it but I've and many others have lived it!
When you could "BUY" your way out of a sentence!
Not always possible pretrial but very much possible once your case was adjudicated..
2 of the biggest Armed Robbery suspects sentenced in the early -middle 1980s had multiple prison staff on the payroll protecting their lucrative "dog food business" ["115"/"11550*California** ]in Angola.
It wasn't an accident it was already predetermined and set in motion because that was how multiple others came home from up under harsh, lengthy sentences in the past.
Which in turn got them the proper pipeline and access to getting out!
1 of them is doing LIFE in California on a 187pc out of San Bernardino County !
Under Governor John McKiethen and Governor Edwin H.Edwards is my knowledge but it's common knowledge that it's always been the case!
That became harder after Edwards was term limited and could not do 3 consecutive terms as a governor.
      Under the sentencing reforms enacted under former Governor JBE's 8 year tenure;
2 cousins sentenced to Life as teens during the late 1970s; did 40 & 44 came home during the Pandemic!
1 older relative another Lifer came home during the Pandemic after over 43+ years!
The white boy from the Gentilly area (which was heavily white until the last white flight in the 1980s due to the Louisiana oil bust + the closure of Kaiser Aluminum in Chalmette){ lowering the population under 500,000 & for the first time in history becoming a majority Black 50%+ City} has a whole block of townhouses blocks away from Tigerland in Baton Rouge Louisiana and every single dude using them for transitional housing recently released had done at least 27 years!!!
This was in 2020 and 2021!!
Like I said I KNOW WTH I AM TALKING ABOUT!!
Im born and raised in New Orleans!
I have deep ties everywhere in New Orleans.
Len Davis and half, if not more,of NOPD's Black officers I grew up with, went to schoolwith, played NORD sports with ,played high school sports with and against..
Some younger than me like Len.
      Some my age.
      Some older.
I'm talking 1990s through Hurricane Katrina..
      .
I not only remember YOUR case but I am aware of everything going in the City especially once crack hit.
I always had access to The Times Picayune newspaper when I was on the West Coast .
I have nephews and younger cousins that know you and your boys from the streets not from jail sh**!
My family has been advocating civil rights ,criminal reform, housing discrimination, better healtcare, hunger issues, prison reform, better education ,job training WELL BEFORE YOU SUFFERED THROUGH YOUR THOROUGHLY WRONG LIFE CHANGING SITUATION!!
For over 50 years at least no matter what their neighborhood/housing,employment, educational, financial situation was/is!!
I had a great uncle driving round-trip transportation to Angola in the 1970s & 1980s!
An older cousin that helped create the juvenile tours to Angola attempting to discourage youth from a life of crime.
My stepdad and 1 of his organizations visited Jackson Louisiana and the other facilities for (criminally insane, mentally unstable, mental and emotional disabilities)around Louisiana when they were all still around!!
Once again this was in the 1970s!
In the 1990s when New Orleans was at its worst point crime wise in its MODERN HISTORY; I had a female cousin initiate a program between the courts and a church in the 9th Ward(Rev Washington's) to allow drug addicted felons to live in church housing while attending classes/meetings & working with church supervision!
It was instead of Parish or State prison incarceration!!
Many of the females she was able to get released (not freed) directly from court after agreement by the judge, probation department and the district attorney....
      You don't know everything!
      You don't know everybody!
Not everyone wants to be on social media!
Not everyone wants to "appear as all knowing" & "experts" and expose themselves to correction in front of the world ( wheter they admit they are wrong or not)!!
Gary Tyler spent part if not all of the summer in Los Angeles before returning back to St Charles Parish to attend Destrehan High School... ...
He and my cousin from New Orleans,9th Ward, had family on the Eastside of Los Angeles in the same neighborhood.
My cousin didn't move back home until 1975 for high school.
He never saw his friend again..
Gary Tyler was 16 years old and was an innocent kid railroaded by the system......framed by racist corrupt law enforcement AFTER their(Black students)school bus was attacked by racist mobs of pro segregation whites both kids & adults..
Sentenced to death @ 16 years old.
Death penalty converted to Life without parole in 1976...
      Why? Legal rulings ..
Did 41 years in Angola before accepting a plea for Manslaughter and a 21 yr sentence!
      Why?
Because of the US Supreme Court rulings that mandatory life without parole for juvenile offenders was unconstitutional ..
I can tell you 50-100 more stories of personal knowledge of actual Louisiana cases!!
I have an acquaintance in my age bracket from the 3rd Ward who immediately comes up on Findlaw,, Justia,, Casetext ....
Another Orleans Parish District Attorney Harry Connick Sr faulty trial!!
Another Black teen sentenced for murder after shenanigans by corrupt prosecutors!!!
One of my personal NOLA stories= 3 of us were sitting on the back steps in the 1500 block of the Iberville Projects in 1972.
Suddenly out of nowhere two white First District NOPD patrolmen "chasing someone allegedly"; saw us then snatched my older cousin and attempted to arrest him!
Accused him of being their suspect!!
Quick Intervention by 7 or 8 adults on either side of the driveway that knew we had been sitting in the same spot for a while stopped what would have been a certain arrest and trip to Milne,Bridge City or Scotlandvile for a crime we didn't commit!!..
That was an aberration because they arrested kids especially teens back then with the same zeal, enthusiasm and lawlessness that they did adults..
Even the juvenile prisons were segregated then.
I had an older cousin from the 8th Ward who was 1 of the first 5 Black juvenile inmates at the Monroe prison.
When it comes to Louisiana, California and Federal......
I have no want or need to be an expert but I'm fully aware and knowledgeable about all 3!!
How's it so easy to be disrespectful, condescending and wrong when you are supposed to be a humble , respectful person??!!
How's it so easy to be dismissive when you are relying on feelings and opinions when confronted with facts?!?!
      Be safe.
      Be cool .

      @@kuntegable3009comprehension and context is important!
Nowhere that I implied anyone was just let out!
Reading without comprehension is like attempting to drive a car without an engine!
It clearly says exonerated and there has not been one wrongly convicted exonerated person in the entire United States of America that was just let out.
My reply was to the person who insinuated or implied that doing time was a badge of honor and celebrated.
Anyone who watched the video and heard the formerly imprisoned dudes say how much time they did would understand that nobody was just let out!
