had quite a lot of success with an aurashare, lightning rod dps build.
with rune of speed, resurrection glyph, and mistform being the other main differences.

Thanks for the build! I also dislike a lot of the ele circlejerk, but what I do understand is the lack of something really novel with the new spec. It's fine and the numbers are decent, I guess, but the build you're playing here is basically an alternate playstyle of a Tempest I think. I think most eles just wanted away from teamfights and live their ele dream of nuking people from a far like a deadeye of sorts. Anyway, thanks for all your work, I enjoy it a lot!
Exactly. Nothing New on ele, it will be good as a sidenoder, it will have a good burst such as fa warhorn tempest, but in a nutshell it'll still bé a main hand dagger melee playstyle mostly.

DD Catalyst is definitely underrated. Love the double air burst combos!

D/D Ele is literally the reason I started pvp'ing back in the days, then they nerfed it too much it's when I stopped playing.

all i play is D/D core FA for years.. still works just fine. I play plat. Fire, arcane, and lightning (FA). You may have even seen me. i cos play one punch man with the name oneshot Dan. (yes the build can oneshot ppl)

I've been having a lot of fun on catalyst as well. 1-shotting ppl for 25-30k is super fun.

Hey at 00:55 You mention the build giving Aura's to allies, how is this build giving aura's to allies? I was under the impression that ele could only share aura's via the water trait powerful Aura, is there another way?
i meant that the transmuting of auras will cleanse allies, you would'nt give them actual auras, but many of the other effects revolving around that mechanic will
I never like Ele so I don't know a lot about it, it's too complicated for me, but I am curious; what skills do you use to generate "jade aura"? I don't know what you mean by that.
jade sphere is the f5 new mechanic, and it creates a combo field, catalysts passively gain auras when doing any combo finishers in a field based on their attunement

I am not convinced on d/d Catalyst compared to the d/w, or support Tempest.

I don't know why you use Energy cleasning, while I use Cleansing Energy on my Ele and Engi

As a ele main I approve this message! Even scepter/dagger build is viable as support
nerfed, curious if even viable at this point with jade sphere change to a cooldown of 15 sec from 5
it was always 15, the change was in pve

i know what zerker ammy looks like, i dont suggest it to someone learning the spec or not maining it, and i certainly am not comfortable with that low hp because i have other builds/classes to learn

quickness is great but, you said they have time to get up after air 5 b4 you get off fire 5... not true. You can get off fire 3, 4, and 5 before they get up w/o quickness. just be johnny fast fingers.
Oh and what is "transmute an Aura"?👀
any weapon skill that has an aura for its name for an ele can be cast twice to transmute the aura or to trade the aura for another effect

8:00 earth 4 into earth 5 is too slow. you need quickness or use earth 3 into earth 5. they will be rooted if you use this combo when earth 5 goes off.
i dont understand the point of lightning rod, there are only three cc skills, one is unreliable updraft. lr weaver still better option with dagger/focus i think.
Do daredevils complain they can't use staff in pvp? No, they're too busy stabbing me in the back and shooting me in the head.

catalyst power hammer is pretty good dmg but as usual not much utility in pve

This expac made ele the weakest class, i refuse to upgrade.
In what regard was catalyst more sad than untamed? I also think neither Willbender nor Bladesworn are that strong or groundbreaking although fun to play
Catalyst is only good if you utilize combo finished a ton, the whole class revolves around it
