- Hello & welcome along on this walk! If you're new here - my name is Sarah and every month I head out on a walk with my faithful companion Jack Spaniels, to explore somewhere in this beautiful country of Scotland and hopefully find something to paint back in my studio at home.
Today we are exploring somewhere new on the magical Isle of Skye - which is where I now live!! I recently moved here with my partner Willie, to start a new life in a wee cottage. We have been to Glen Brittle before, but never got any further than the famous Fairy Pools...
Today, we went beyond the Fairy Pools carpark to find out what there was at the far end of the glen and it was so worth it! We start at the stunning Glen Brittle Beach, before climbing up to the lochan at Coire Lagan and ending up at the highest waterfall on the Isle of Skye.
Along the way, I spot some sheep with amazing (and slightly intimidating) curly horns, so I decided to take a photo back to my studio to try and paint one. Watch until the end of the video to see how I got on!

The sheep, the coo, and now you need a pony by the sea to complete a three piece display of farm animals. The sheep's eyes peeping out behind the horns is so sweet, you wonder how they can see at all. Lovely to see the waterfall with the snow on behind it as well!

Moving to Skye pays off. The oustanding landscape is amazing and it is allready in your soul. Your painting and your selfconfidence as an artist made a leap forward. It realy stands out. I started to learn watercolor 10 months ago, I enjoy watching your videos. The fact this painting took 13 hours to complete made me feel much better about my attempts. Glen brittle is one of our favourite places to camp. If you visit when the campsite is open (spring onwards), the coffee and pastries in the little shop are great!

Hello again, it's Wendi. 😊 Although I'm strapped for time except the evenings when I'm not on duty (trauma surgeon, helicopter ER), formerly in the armed forces, I love having family time with my 4 teen daughters. ...I think your channel is exceptional, your art totally beautiful and evocative. Perhaps you could consider photography, and sell signed limited edition prints? When in France one year we saw astonishingly beautiful photographic old gold-framed pictures printed on professional quality Cibachrome. The picture were wide, many selling for £700 or more! It's certainly something to consider now Willie has a fine drone. ...I'm on a double shift tomorrow since half my team are sick with covid, so it may be a while before I come back to you.
