This is always one of my favorite days...the day we come outside and get our deck prepped for long, beautiful warm days spent outside as a family. It's time to clean up all of the clutter, dirt and mess from the Winter and get ready to merge indoor and outdoor living! I hope this video brings you tons of motivation today!

Watching your sweet dad fix the deck for you made me tear up. I would just mention to my dad I needed to take care of something and he would show up and take care of it. He’s been gone 8 years and I miss him so much. You have the sweetest family.

Love the additions to your porch. You always come up with great ideas. It seems the boys keep growing as they should. I just love how Lennie loves to help. I also love how the boys were helping to clean the bench. Teach them all things and they will grow up to be good husbands/boyfriends.
I could watch the babies all day! 💟 So precious!! John (you, too) is so patient, what with the kids climbing all over him while he's lying down trying to put the couch together. Lol. Seriously, I just love watching your kids!
I ADORE your channel! My family has also experienced numerous pet losses over the last couple years (and my sweet momma, too). I cried with you (and a little for me, too) through those losses. I understand the plant thing and I'm so, so sorry.
But what actually moved me to leave a comment was you spelling the bunnies' fate. My 5 year old watches videos with me often (she calls you my "momma friend"). I SO appreciate your sensitivity to little ears.
I also have a 3 and 1 year old. My son was born the month before your twins.
All that to say how much I identify with you and really love watching your videos.

My husband and I bought new patio furniture that includes a sofa, 2 arm chairs, 2 ottomans, and coffee table. I assembled it in the garage. No one wants to move it. So far my garage has turned into the chill space. I don't think it's ever going outside.
It came out really nice and such a blessing your dad is willing to help you.

Thanks for the motivation! This is actually what I've been trying to work on, sprucing up my back yard, but the Wyoming weather hasn't been cooperating. Love the revamped deck looks fantastic - your Dad made a very good job of the deck edging what were those people thinking when they made the deck fit the shape of the rocks. It's great the way the kids all join in with whatever you'r doing and it was lovely to see John more in the scenes. Your doggy's beautiful just wish he were mine iv'e got a cat who runs a mile if he sees a dog so I'll have to wait to get my dog. Your Dad did what I’ve been wanting done 😂 I hope you can figure out the under deck issue. You could put a skirt around the deck or chicken wire it. The burrowers will still come, but, it should help.

Oh man this makes me want to get outside and get our porch set up. We built our house 3 years ago and still don’t have it set up other than a couple of chairs my parents gave us. And now I want a projector too! It looks so good!!!!

We put pieces of sheet metal down in the ground about 10-12” deep to keep rabbits out. Maybe something like that with chicken wire as well would work.

The deck furniture looks great. I can relate to the plant trauma. I over wintered a red flowered pentas plant. It was big and lush since it liked my kitchen table location all winter. Well we got nice night time temperatures finally so I put it out on the deck which gets full sun. That's where it lived and flowered all of last year. Well the next morning I looked at my beautiful pentas plant and it had gotten too much full sun too soon and some of the lush green leaves are whited out crunchie. My bad. I know better but I was so anxious to have a spot of color on the deck. The pentas plant is now on the top of my grill in the shade. Aahh, live and learn. The crunchie leaves will be pinched off as it grows more this summer. BTW I purchased 2 more red pentas plants and potted them up and THEY are now on the deck in the full sun and doing well. Crazy!
