Thank you for this very useful and simple to understand explanation (for non mechanical lambretta aficionados) Can I ask you a question please? I have an old, rather well worn Li150 Series one engine. I have noticed that the gear selector arm at the top of the casing has a bit of play, up and down. I would say about 10mm. At first I thought it might have been the wishbone that was slightly bent out of shape (open) but after your video I'm thinking it might be the guide and the pins that are both worn. According to your expeirnce, what do you think it might be? The layshaft also has wear on the rear where the hub connects. Im now rebuilding the scooter so I have never ridden it so I don't know how much play is present in the handlebars. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of funds, but I feel this might have to be done (replacing the shaft and gear selection components. I was also thinking perhaps one more shim on the gear selector shaft to lower the up down play? Apologies for the overly long question comment!

That was really good. I don’t know how the clutch allows the gear to be changed.

Sir, you mentioned about correct oil grade. My scooter was running 90 grade oil and there was no power. Local mechanic recommended 20W 40 oil with new clutch plates as old plates wore out within 3000 Kms in 90 Grade oil.
What is the right grade oil to use ?
Could you please share your contact

Please use SPIRAX SG 2 80W-90. Very good quality one. But I use 20W-50 SYNTHETIC in my lambretta. Because Just going to finish the RACING (150cc with Own made reeds) modifications. By using SPIRAX earlier. I got very good performance. You may watch that lambretta video on CZcams in the name of FASTEST LAMBRETTA IN INDIA
