one of my life goals is to have a real twinkie, i only had things like it, and thing is, i am sure i had much much much better variations of it, but i want the real twinkie, good lord, one time i was so close since a store got some imported stuff, turns out he only got snowballs......this is still on my bucket list.
the sponge smells like it was dredged in banana and then the filling is fruity with a twang so maybe like my husband said banana pudding with pineapple
Tastes like fruity pebbles to me and my husband.
I just tried them. They smelled like a fruity cereal, but tasted like what I think fruit cake tastes like.
Growing up in the 60s, Twinkies were one of my favorite snacks. Today's Twinkies are a pale imitation to what was. I still enjoy them, but maybe once a year. The 2 Walmart's I was at didn't have then out yet. I don't think they would be Strawberry as they have a Strawberry Twinkie that comes out every Spring. I wish they would bring back the Key Lime Twinkies from 2016. My favorite Twinkie of the modern flavors.
Haven't seen these. A box of 10 regular Twinkies is almost $4 here in central California at Walmart.

Tastes like chicken... 🐔
I tried them twice. First time tasted like pineapple. Second time was like fruit punch for the first two bites. Then pineapple cherry flavored.
I thought mine had sort of a twizzler flavor but I could be wrong
I actually think that's the correct flavor.

Cotton candy
Cotton Candy was my all-time favorite limited time flavor, they had them 7 or 8 years ago and then did a re-release a couple summers ago, and this one was very different than that.
I thought it tasted like Sweet Tarts.
Yeah they could have put some Oreo cookies crumbles in there as " flavor"
That would make an interesting texture variation

Great Review. My favorite Hostess snack cake is the Hostess Cupcakes I eat two of them a day. I do eat a Twinkie once in a while but ''mystery'' flavor looks interesting.
I thought they initially tasted like a strawberry but the after taste was like a limeaid or lemonade. I smell citrus. But the ingredients on the box didn't list citrus. Still not sure what the flavor is though.

My husband thought pomegranate. Imo yuck..they suck do not waste your mone.
I thought maybe black cherry. Tart forsure..
I thought raspberry something or another, too, but then I remembered Hostess also makes Zingers which are basically raspberry-flavored Twinkies with a little coconut (that doesn't taste like much). These don't taste like Zingers. Plus, since they already have Zingers, raspberry would be a lame mystery flavor Twinkie choice. I'm lost.

When I smelled it it smelled like bubble gum when I tasted it it tasted like every other dumb fruit flavor they put in a mystery like a blue raspberry or something maybe it's a fruit pie.
These taste horrible, like air heads.

Mines taste like banana creme.
