FF5 Battle 1 [FF6 style, 30 minutes]

It's FF5 music as FF6 remix week!
Over the last couple years I've done a bunch of FF music arrangements in FF6 style. I was also contributing FF6 arrangements for a fan game called Final Fantasy Dissidia Sedecim which was basically the game-version of what these tracks are...Other FF characters battling FF bosses in an FF6 style.
All music in these lines of videos were composed by Nobuo Uematsu, unless otherwise stated in the video. :)

You know what this sounds like? A mariachi. It sounds like either a dual between two amazing trumpeters or a lover's duet. The brass is so pronounced that I'm getting a heavy, HEAVY mariachi vibe...
...And I like it. This song went from "average" to VERY good with the improved quality.

I've been told that with ff4's battle music too in the past! That's kinda funny haha

@@tssf Its the brass. 4 and 5 had an astoundingly loud and sharp brass sample for that era. The FF series really struggled as a whole to capture some instruments back then, like guitar riffs (outside of mystic quest, baby!), but they absolutely killed it in the brass department.
Its funny because I always felt that FFVI toned the brass down a ton as Uematsu went with other instruments. I always figured that they just didn't HAVE those samples anymore, but you've proved me wrong. It must have been a conscious decision by him.

I couldn't find an extension to the original theme anywhere because Square is being a jerk, but after giving this version a try, you got me, this sounds fantastic
