What makes me really happy is not only the fact these cats are talking, but that they all look healthy, happy, comfortable, feeling safe and seem to be very much loved by their owners, talking to them, joking, chatting , asking about their kitties opinion or how their day was and might be considered crazy, by non- cat - people...

Nuno Soares Black cats rock..but so do ALL kitties 🐱 my Danny was a Bombay plus he had an extra toe on each front paw that resembled thumbs so his nickname was Mr. Thumbs lol. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge October 4th 2014 and I will ALWAYS miss him. Raised him from 2 months old. Also have a brother and sister kitties who I bottlefed since one month old. They are 12 now.

black cats are wonderful. My Paquita who will be 9 on April 15 is black and beautiful. She looks like a black panther with her fiery yellow eyes in the jungle. Paquita is very talkative and she likes her water straight from the tap. Her brother Alex is much quieter, but he's an orange guy. Both are hunters who bring me all sorts of presents like a red Santa Claus cap. Happy Birthday my wonderful pussy cats.

My cat has a very specific meow that she makes from on top of the couch when she wants attention. She will not shit up, until I pet her. Such a pushy, furry baby.😸😻😺

I had a cat who was part Siamese, she was ALWAYS talking. It actually annoyed my roommates and my mom, but I loved that I could have a conversation with her.
The cat I have now doesn't have any Siamese in her (as far as I can tell; she has short legs and a flat face) but she has become talkative too; I started talking to her the way I was used to doing with my old cat, and sometimes she would meow back, and I'd pet her. I didn't mean to teach her to talk, but that's what ended up happening.

I have very regular conversations with my Sphynx. I love chatty cats. Though the 3am howls that last for what feels like hours can get under my skin at times lol.

When mine start the early morning chatters, I remind them it's bedtime and if that doesn't quite them, I shake the squirt bottle. I only squirt them as a last resort

I have a green-eyed tuxxie that has 4 white 'opera' gloves. Walter wandered onto my porch near death and is now 8, and begs to go to 'work' every day, which is going to the garage to make sure no bugs are there. A very sweet and grateful cat.

I also love chatty cats… My own girl Lennon, a marble shorthaired tabby… Meows very loudly and vocally. She recently has been diagnosed with a benign small tumor in her throat area, which now makes her meows sound like a whispered quiet meow. The vets assure me she's OK at this point, no danger of feline cancer… Just that she now cannot meow very loudly. I miss it but my girl is still with me and that's all that counts!!
My apartment doesn't allow cats, but I sooooo want a mean, grouchy, grumpy ornery tom cat I can argue with.
I've just gotta move soon so I can get one.

@2:15 - There we go, a yackety-smackety Siamese....Those kids can TALK ! I have had 2 from shelters and I adored them. According to the vet, our current young rescue looks exactly like a Lynx Point, however he RARELY talks ....so when he does, we pay attention. It has none of the yowl of a Siameezer though ! I just love them all

Whenever I brought a kitten into my home, I always take it immediately to the litter box so they know where it is. I've never had a kitten potty anywhere but the litter box. And-my black cat, Samantha, often have conversations. lol

I cry daily! its 3yr now! he would sit in front of the door when he wanted to go out! ten he'd come to door and scratch and meow to come in! I taught him to kiss me and what a kiss is! Then I'd hug him and say Mommy loves Jake! he understood! one time a neighbor Steve yelled up to me Sandy there's something wrong with ur cat! he's buddies with a mouse! I looked over the balcony and Jake and the mouse were walking side by side up the cement path! that mouse wasn't even speeding just walking like a human ! wish I taped it BC no one would believe it but me and Steve Rodriguez and Sandy Carter! darn that cat had a high I Q!!

I love how cats repeat words like now and no. They want food now and to go out now. They have the ability to say other words too we just need to listen. I understand my cat and call to her using kitty language. No different from learning a foreign language. By watching body language and repeating the sounds I've learned what the different meows mean. I call my cat in by meowing "I'm lonely" and she comes running. She responds to her name but really more like to pay attention to what's next. My husband thinks I'm going to be that strange cat lady... unbeknownst to him I already am.

My cat Howard has several distinct vocalizations. Each is very different.

* Feed me/hurry up
* Go away/get out of my way (to other cat)
* I'm lonely/where are you
* I'm not happy YOWL (eg: if litter box doesn't suit him)
* No/ don't do that
* Whisper meow

I often tell my lovers something like "Sugar faces, I love you more than life itself. I treasure each shining moment I get to spend in the pleasure of your company. I am so richly privileged to serve you today and every day". Although I never have found any " fun" in cleaning out litter boxes, slimy hairballs, mixing and serving wet food, scrubbing down dirty food bowls, cleaning and refilling water bowls, and other interminable daily cat chores -- I'd happily hand that all over to a robot any time. It's a " labor of love" and they're worth it. I'm annoyed by people who seem to think pets are a "fun hobby" for slightly deranged people who enjoy drudgery.

These cats are all so cute and clever. I love the way meowing isn't a major form of communication between cats but they learn to use it to interact with humans when they discover we don't understand their use of body language and scents. I love my 2 clever felines.
