    Hi Nemanja - Wow, just love what you did here! So cool and you have a great talking style. I tried this technique and it worked perfectly. Then I tried it again on a different photo and I got some ghost-like images appearing. Kind of like bright areas that seem to show up after 15 copies. I just can't seem to figure out where they're coming from. I imagine the Lighten blend mode is somehow involved. Can you (sorry) shed some light on this?

  • @gulsankumar351
    @gulsankumar351 Před 4 lety +4

    Hey 👋 . I had just tried this trick but how to avoid those extra brightness coming after saving the image. When all those layers mergerd they creates a lot of brighter image.

  • @burrivanin
    @burrivanin Před 6 lety

    Hi Nemanja! thanks your your videos. This star trails trick is amazing. I´ve tried couple of times (step by step) with different pics and when I merge the layers, a pattern of white dots appears. Those dots appear as well when I increase the number of layers, lets say over 50-55. Do you know what could be the cause? Thanks mate!

    • @NemanjaSekulic
      @NemanjaSekulic  Před 6 lety

      Hi Ivan. Thanks.
      That pattern appears because of lights on the sky image that your using. Sometimes you need to find a better starry image for this technique. And don't overdo it.

  • @chafikboumehdi9724
    @chafikboumehdi9724 Před 3 lety

    Thanks Nemanja for the vid. However I notice that applying this effect it generates weird unsmooth gaps between the stars!! How can we deal with this to make trails look very real? Thanks once again

  • @rajba
    @rajba Před 4 lety

    Hi! This is a wonderful technique and thank you very much for it. One problem is that when I am creating more layers (40 or 45+), a kind square grid pattern of lights is appearing all across the image and that grid pattern stays on in the merged image also. Any idea why this is happening and how I can avoid it in PP ?

  • @3600Michiel
    @3600Michiel Před 4 lety +1

    this was really usefull, had my go on some of my pictures. For some reason I get corners in my startrails, the trails are not round. Also the selected central point leaves a big square spot in the picture where the stars aren't turning. How do I fix this?

    • @3600Michiel
      @3600Michiel Před 4 lety

      I think I found the problem, the pictures are made with a SIgma 15-24 diagonal fish eye lens. Because it's diagonal it makes the 'fisheye' wider than the height so when you start turning it at some point stars have to jump in a corner? maybe that's not the problem. I'll have to try one on a regular lens to check.

  • @paulm8157
    @paulm8157 Před 6 lety

    Very good example of the power of PS actions. Do you have a separate tutorial on Actions? Can the number of iterations be made part of the Action itself? I think the vid would be even better if you included brief magnify inserts on screen when selecting menu and panel picks. The inserts would compliment the command text you show in the lower left hand corner. (See if your clone agrees.)

    • @NemanjaSekulic
      @NemanjaSekulic  Před 6 lety

      Thanks Paul 😉 I'm glad that you like it 😊.
      I didn't find a way how to add iterations to this action. But then you wouldn't be able to control the length of the trails.

  • @jay1972ish
    @jay1972ish Před 6 lety

    Hi Nemanja, awesome tutorial and so uncomplicated. I've tried it myself and it works fantastic. Then I was wondering if there's a way to automate an opacity reduction of each layer as they are produced? It's be great to create a comet effect in the action, but when I reduce the copied layer to say, 95%, each new layer is still 95%. Can it be reduced each time? Cheers.

    • @NemanjaSekulic
      @NemanjaSekulic  Před 6 lety

      There is a stacking mode that you can try to experiment with. I think that Mean stacking mode for example reduces all the layers with some increments. Unfortunately actions only remember the current settings as it is. Hope this helps
