Why would someone willingly join COBRA? What set of circumstances and life decisions would drive an individual to throw in with a ruthless shadow organization determined to undermine society as we know it? This is one man's story...
Extra special THANKS and APPRECIATION to my small but essential voice cast. The Profit Director's Channel ( / @theprofitdirectorscha... ) and Paul Loubser ( / gijoburg , thanks a ton fellas!
Also another special thanks to HCC788 ( / hoodedcobrac788 ) for allowing us ordinary folks to participate in Cobra Convergence 6!! Thank you!)

Your stoytelling ability is on another level. How you utilized ole boy in the story is exactly how the COBRA Officer is described on his file card. Being an anal muthafucka I love that sort of attention to detail.
Hey Data Mag, I just need to ask you. Are you going to customize your COBRA Officers? You can paint the braiding, the chevron on the helmet, those squares on his uniform, and the COBRA sigil different colors to denote rank. I'm going to paint those details on my COBRA Officer gold and make them generals. Knowing you, you'll fuck around and have a whole officer corp in your COBRA Command. Again, dope shit man.
Hey man I really appreciate the compliments on the story. I really try to write dialogue that portrays the characters as I intend them to come across. Also, with GI Joe in particular, I really try to accentuate the military aspect of conversations and such. With this film, I was striving to make this thing feel like a cloak and dagger spy movie. From what I've seen in the comments it looks like mission accomplished, which is a big relief because I wasn't sure I could pull it off, LOL! As far as customs go, that is an excellent idea... I only have 2 officers so far so I'd need to get a couple more, but I like that idea. Plus we got squad leader Vipers and CG's coming down the pipeline too! The possibilities are endless with these guys! Always appreciate the support and love my friend!!
@@datamag2018 Yeah, I peeped the possibility of having a COBRA Command Officer Corps early on when I noticed those squares. Me personally I only need four COBRA generals and the rest will be LTs.
Yeah, you've pulled off the spy thriller element of the story perfectly. It's good to mix it up because everything doesn't need to be "shoot'em up, bang, bang."
Hell yeah i cant get enough of the classified stop-motions
You and me both, LOL! Thanks for tuning in!
Absolutely fantastic work. Amazing script and backgrounds. Really felt immersed in your story. The voice work was brilliant too. Your stop motion work is just phenomenal.
Much appreciated!! I'm really glad that many of you not only liked the video but enjoyed the story. I went with a very different vibe in this one. Almost no action, or wild VFX, lots of dialogue, but it was all moving the story along and portraying the situations and the characters within the story. Definitely very different than huge gun battles and fights, LOL! I wanted it to feel like a spy movie so I'm glad it worked out.
@@datamag2018 thoroughly enjoyed it. Using the character as the Cobra agent was great arc. You should be mighty proud buddy👊✨
Yep, he's a smooth operator to smooth criminal in a matter of moments.
The duality of man... A killer and a gentleman at the same time... Thanks for watching!
@@datamag2018 Bro, you know I'll be watching regardless.
This really had me captivated, very good story telling
Many, many thanks! I do make every effort to create, write and weave good stories. Just like dioramas and sets, the story completes the suspension of reality, which is also something I try my best to do when creating these stop motions. Thanks again for watching!
This was absolutely amazing! You have a great gift of storytelling! The script was great, loved the narration to draw you in. Stop motion was fantastic, sets were amazing, awesome voice acting. Special effects too. Besides all that, it was very entertaining to watch!!
Many, many thanks, I really appreciate the compliments. I was really hoping this story would be intriguing and fun to watch unfold. It's a very different kind of stop/play motion since there was very little action. I wasn't all the way sure I could pull this kind of thing off with action figures and dioramas, but it looks like it worked, whew! LOL
Yo man this collection is getting deep so glad to see Gi joe content back on the map and excellent on how you did destro and Commandera voice Good stuff thanx
Much appreciated! Yeah my Destro voice actor is absolutely fantastic! He will be Destro forever in my videos, until he decides not to be!
Enjoyed this a ton. Hope there is a follow up.
Glad you found it enjoyable! If you haven't seen them yet, I have done a couple episodes with GI Joe Classified previously, so check them out when you get a chance. Thanks for checking out my content!
Very Dope Datalynx, bout to watch it again 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
LOL, Yeah I wanted to try something a little different with this one. Since this was specific for the Cobra Convergence event, I wanted to explore the average Cobra operative... Motivations, life story, etc, etc. There's really no action per se so I was hoping my story, characters, sets, and such really sold people on it. I'm glad ya'll are liking it, because it was kind of an experiment... As always thanks for the love bro!
Must say, i have never really been up on GI Joe stories etc but this was so well thought out had my interest from start to finish, great work.
Really appreciate the compliments! This was an original idea I cooked up based on what the lore says about Cobra officers and operatives. You don't see it much in mainstream media featuring GI Joe, but in comics and such it happens a bit more. Thanks for having a look and check out my other GI Joe Stop motions if you haven't yet!
Loved this! Great job!
Thanks!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
DataMag, I was rewatching this when I peeped something C.C. said, _"Digital renders, I was anticipating something more concrete."_ Why are you firing shots at Hasbro?😆😁 Also, it makes me laugh every time I see Bludd go by in that cart.
I would love to see your take on a COBRA Command origin story detailing C.C.'s motivations and how he recruited the Baroness and the Twins.
I left this comment on _The Articulated Ninja's_ page, when Hasbro drops Zap you have to ask him to do Zap's voice.
LOLOLOL!! Yeah I snuck that one in there, I think many people missed it though!
Cooooobraaaa!!!!! Outstanding video mate 😁
Thank you my good sir! I always appreciate the support and love!
Wow, this is awesome! Great story and amazing execution! Well done!
I appreciate you checking out my channel! I assume you found out through HCC788's video right? At any rate if you are new to the channel, I welcome you!! Take a look around at the content I have to offer. I've got quite a bit of GI Joe stuff plus a whole bunch of other stuff too. Thanks again for watching!
@@datamag2018 Yes! I saw the segment of your Cobra Operative stop motion feature HCC788 included in his weekly Cobra Covergence 6 compilation video and thought it looked great so I clicked the link in the description to watch the whole video. I would have subscribed anyway just to support a stop motion video producer, but your production quality and story telling are next level, so you truly "won" my subscription.
Your channel is awesome! The unfortunate reality of CZcams is that they make their money off quantity of views, not quality of production, and as such, they strongly encourage creators to put out new "content" every day. I have noticed this seems to encourage creators to go down the path of ranting about and criticizing other things because that's easier to create material for on a daily basis, and because it grabs people's "rubber-necking" attention (our innate instinct to watch fights, collisions, etc.) That means that amazing creators like you who put in considerable amounts of time and energy into writing, filming, and editing each video are often ignored by the algorithms and buried in the avalanche of "content" that floods into CZcams every minute.
Despite all of the above, you have stuck to your guns and continued to make and put out great stories. For that, I thank you.
@@brushstroke3733 That really means a lot to me, so I sincerely thank you for the sentiments. I agree that CZcams rewards content creators that pump out more content on a regular basis. When I first started my channel, I would put out a stop motion every 3-6 months because (as you have indicated) to do one right, and with quality, it takes time. My viewership grew slowly but steadily, and I was very grateful for anyone that spent any length of time watching my stuff. Over the past say 2 years or so I started doing custom showcases and selective toy reviews and unboxings. This has helped grow the channel without putting out videos just to satisfy the algorithm. I've always told anyone I talk to that I make videos about and showing stuff that I would like to watch. It's obviously not for everyone, and I'll never make any real money on CZcams, but that was never the intention. I am a creator of heroic (and villainous) stories... as well as everything in between... Once upon a time I used to write and draw comics, but that's a story for another day, LOL! And I love action figures, ever since I was old enough to hold one. So I make videos about things I like or like to do. As silly as it may sound I'm still humbled by how many people like my stuff enough to subscribe and comment on my videos. You guys appreciating my ideas and work and interacting in the comments makes all the hours I spend on this stuff absolutely fulfilling. So...Thank You for that!
I'm liking these so far, I look forward to any future ones you have planned.
Should have one ready by the end of the year or beginning of 2024, so stay tuned! Thanks for having a look!
@@datamag2018 Nice! And you're welcome. I always loved G.I Joe.
I thoroughly enjoyed this! Great story telling and use of music. 🔥👍🏾
Much appreciated man. The next Joe installment is in the works!
Amazingly awesome and epic! A masterpiece. Cheers and Bravo
Yo, I appreciate the kind words! Thanks for tuning in and checking out my content!
Great work Data. Very cool story.
Many thanks my guy! And thanks again for contributing the voice work, I love your renditions of Destro!
a good production with a 'film noir' atmosphere, wow!
kudos for the props and cool scheme, as you, I see bats as an extensive potential.
I was thinking that you were waiting too long to introduce Joes....
then finally figured that they were never supposed to show, lol.
a cool philosophical perspective, realistic and fresh.
also dark and tragic to deepen the plot in a mature way.
yeah, this fits classified as a movie, awesome.
the scene with Destro and CC looks convincing and beautiful.
you have enough troops to immerse in the universe,
very promising.
good show bro.
Appreciate it my guy, thanks for having a look! Next Classified Stop motion vid is coming in the next few months or so!
@@datamag2018 oh yeah, you show Hollywood how it s done bro!
Well done!
Appreciate the compliments!
Very nice
Appreciate the support!!
Cobra Commander, if you don’t like the BATs, make your own weapons.
You know CoCo, he's very impatient, LOL!
Oh wow this was Epic! Hope you make more just like this!
Ha! Thanks my guy! I appreciate you stopping by and having a look. There are 2 other episodes of GI Joe Classified on the channel as well. Check them out when you get the chance!
Oh yeah I’ll have a look at those!
wonderful!!! we needed more of these!!!
Much appreciated man! This one was a very different stop motion.... more of a dram rather than an pure action film. I'm glad people liked it. Thanks!
@@datamag2018 best ones I’ve seen are mostly the story driven ones. Keep doing those man we need more original stories like this
Dang bro, you have a lot of troops.
Yeah, TBH, I probably have way more than I really need, but showing big groups of them at once is very fun and it really enforces the infinite army vibe... Thanks for watching!
Excellent job
Thank you!
🥷🏻👌💪 Awesome Sauce. Love it!
Appreciate it bro!
AWESOME as always MAG. You make we want to finish my series I started a while back when CLASSIFIED first hit the scene take it off the Gream and put it on CZcams.
Go for it my guy! And thanks for supporting my content, I really appreciate it!
Amazing story keep this up
No doubts! New one will be coming in a the next couple months.
Great job
Thanks!
Cool work bro
Appreciate it my guy!
So awesome 👏🏽
Always appreciate the love my brother! Believe it or not, the concept and style of this video was kind of a test run for our forthcoming collaboration. I'm hoping to replicate the immersion and feel when we do our project. Thanks for checking it out!
Awesome job
Many thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
THIS IS GOOD!!!!
Many thanks! More to come!
You should do voice acting for real. Do something for the theatrics. This was an excellent story. It felt like a real movie.
Many thanks my friend! I really tried hard to sell this as almost like a spy movie or something, intrigue, betrayal, romance, subterfuge, etc. From what I'm reading in my comments it looks like I did a decent job of that, which is a relief, because I wasn't sure I could pull it off. Thanks for compliments my brother!
@@datamag2018 Stopmotion should be a legitimate profession. Yall should be paid for it. A lot of hardwork goes into to it. Most people aint committed to their hobbies like that. Kudos 2 ya brotha.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks bro!
poor scientist!
It was literally difficult to write and add that to the story, made me feel icky... but it was an important part of the guy's characterization....
@@datamag2018 Damn, talk about immersing yourself in your writing. Now I'm having second thoughts on telling you about my thoughts COBRA's Command's intelligence training which involves seduction. Needless, to say you touched up in this short.
Is C.O. 0037 from St. Louis? If he is does he know Duke? The reason why I ask is because Duke is from St. Louis too.
I guess I never specified but yeah I was thinking that was his hometown. As far as knowing each other, I'm going to say probably not. They probably did not grow up on the same side of town, LOL!
@@datamag2018 😂🤣😂
Am i trippin or is that Samuel L. Jackson 11:22
LOL, he's just got one of those faces...
12:03 What vehicle is that?
OK,. so here's the link but is no longer in stock on Amazon.

A while ago I was on a mission to find 1/12th scale vehicles for Classified. This one was actually perfect, as it didn't need any modifications to fit figures or anything. Most of the other vehicles I bought needed extensive custom work to get the figures just to sit in them. I have decided that I DO NOT want to do that much work anymore on vehicles so ones like this one are what I will get from now on if available.
@@datamag2018 Dang it. It is so hard for me to find anything to use as a vehicle. I can barely find anything to use as a Hiss Tank without being sold out or unavailable these days.
