Regardless of the fanon of each fan, the relationship between these two is always for a soap opera.
No matter what context you put them in; Fan ship, hating each others guts, sparring, (group therapy with Dedede and Taranza) it becomes beautifully emotional at one point or another
this is why kirby needs to have non enemy characters

Ah yes, Kirby's best friend, Dark Meta Knight. Who tried to take Dreamland from the Mirror World and who caused a spider princess to go insane and want to consume everything. That friend that I'll bring along to beat Hyness. If Meta Knight hates Susie's guts for what she did to him in Planted Robobot, then Dark Meta Knight and Taranza is an even worse duo. Hell, add Meta Knight here too since he also suffered from Dark Meta Knight in Amazing Mirror.
Well, if we talk about the Taraza-DMK relationship, it would be more of a time bomb, since Taranza doesn't know that he is the cause of the corruption of the mirror, but when he finds out, uff...
Believe it or not, Taranza is powerful, so if MK is right with Susie because of robotization, DMK will be afraid of Taranza because of the control he can possess as a puppeteer.
I've seen someone else theorize that, because of backwards mirror logic, corruptive forces turn him friendly.

While everybody's at Marx's throat (for good reasons) and wondering why he is a friend, I'm even more worried abiht Dark Meta Knight being part of this "friend" group. The dude is literally the cause of two of the games' events (Amazing Mirror and Triple Deluxe).

Meta not wanting to be friends with Susie, or even forgive her for her past actions, is definitely one of those things in which both sides are valid. On one hand, while everything Susie did was to bring her father back to his senses, she still helped him terrorize and mechanize all of Pop Star, transformed Meta into one of their drones, stripping him of his free will, and forcing him to attack Kirby (and it's possible he was still conscious through all that) and only pulled a heel turn when it was clear her father was truly gone and the whole Universe was in jeopardy. As such, Meta is not obligated to either be her friend, or to forgive her.
On the other hand, Meta's not being entirely fair either, as Susie was separated from her father when she was very young, and by the time she found him again years later, after enduring who knows what on her own journey, he was the complete opposite of the man she once knew. She was clearly traumatized by everything she had been put through and was likely willing to go to ANY lengths to bring him back. Meta started out as an outright antagonist to Kirby who in one game was even willing to assault Dreamland with his airship just to force the inhabitants to stop being lazy and complacent...and yet not only is he never called out on this extreme form of terrorism (outside of Kirby whooping his butt) but the puffball continues to treat him as one of his closest friends.
As such, while Meta is well within his rights to feel the way he does, this is also, in my opinion, a matter that's not exactly black and white.
