I nevet got the chance to play unchained. They closed the server just as I upgraded my really old PC. Sad. Love the first and second installment of this game. I also can't wait to try this.

Judging from the brimstone upgrades, they decreased damage to improve uptime, which is exactly what you complained about in the first game. I can't remember 2 for the life of me, but 3 really looks like a lot of neat rebalancing and smoother learning curves.
My wife and I flipped when we seen that it will be out on the 23rd. We love this game series a lot. Can't wait to jump in.
Unchained had an amazing roster. Probably not getting 3 until they add more heroes.

Unchained introduced us to good characterization; it had a ton of variety and i loved most of them. Not being able to play as the big orc momma is a big sad. It wasnt even a moba in the last few years of its life but it still tried to do a pvp thing where two teams compete to outlast the other.
I'm super hyped for this the first game was a part of my childhood and I'm happy to see the game series returning.
They need a perk system. Just get a perk after a number of levels or just in-level perks after a number of waves.
Rogue-like, in that sense.
Scramble mode kinda has that actually!

I'd love to see OMD having mod support, but I highly doubt they'd ever make that possible, would really make it hard to sell future releases
OMD 2’s mod support was… very lacking, to say the least
The characters made it more fun because of who they are, they weren't taken seriously because i mean its 'orcs must die' they are supposed to be goofy, over the top and not serious.
Its actually a relief that they are like that makes it more fun.
Just a note on killboxes vs extended trap areas: Killboxes are slightly better because if an enemy is hit by multiple traps in rapid succession before dying you get bonus monies

The very first Orcs Must Die! was my first game purchased on Steam. 10 years or less, maybe more, this game still has a place in my heart
I like that they went back to the orcs must die 1 enemy design with the metal clad orcs. I didn’t really like the bone boys In orcs must die 2.

Just bought this game! Never played previous ones but looks extremely fun!
I loved the original characters in OMD1,2. They were really fun, looked good and it I liked their abilities. Like that feather fall was very useful and fun to use.
New characters design is just strange and I don't like it. So of course it's not a big issue but still takes away some fun.

Me and my dad just got this game and we love it my fav combo is lasers with fire upgrade, tar with increase damage with fire,wall of butter flies and barrier

I wish for an expanded Orcs Must Die game.
Open field, wide roads and canyons.
Part RTS with building structures to recruit guards and personnel.
Protect your portal and beat wave after wave to get further. And setup a new post and hold it, continue until your reach one of the orc's entrances and defend against it and move to the next.
Wander talking about Z levels in Rimworld, there's a mod for it, it's really wonky but it does exist, much like Save Our Ship 2 (can't wait for it to update to 1.3) in that it adds Starships and sapce travel

The trick is concentrate, don't disperse, find a choke point and concentrate all your fire power there.
yeah, it was painful to see him spread his traps out where only half the orcs would walk past them.

Unpopular opinion, I liked unchained, I just couldn't play it much because it was a ps4 title and i didn't have a ps4

I always loved playing this game series in the past, and to find out that the newest one is going to be released on the 23rd of July makes me even more happy as it gives me a great game to get for my birthday (which coincidentally is the 23rd of July!)
Huh. Have to admit, a little disappointed with the lasers. I thought they would cut them in half and there would be blood. 😅
3 is way easier than the previous titles, Once you get a certain trap, you can pretty much auto pilot through most of the game.

I think the ceiling lasers weaken the enemies. At least maybe all blows are critical blows it seems.

On the PS5 store it disappeared this morning, even though I preordered it about a week ago. Anybody else having this problem?

i didnt care for orcs must die 2 like i did for 1 cause it allways felt like you needed to be in mutiple places at once on there maps it felt build around co op and it made single player.... painfull
I liked having a massive killbox on one side and a partial killbox, but all the weapons for the other
Not needing to worry (much) about one side and having a brawl on the other was my go too, very fun to experement with the different spells, weapons, and trinkets

i don´t like the new characters, too. for some its more important for others not that much. i´ll play it anyways but its runining something which could be perfect.
Just want to point it out, a Blunderbuss is not a shotgun. The shotgun is considered to be the successor of the it.
To be honest I prefer the model's for the orcs in the first game, in this game they look you know, strange ?

I used to agree that I would like D-levels then I saw how d-levels are implemented in Dwarf Fortress and I HATE d-levels, if they are ever added to Rimworld I will just delete the game and the end for me.

No dont.....DO NOT defend that horrible idea for them to attempt a cash in on a MOBA trend just because Super MNC was good and Dota 2 was popular around that time. It was a horrible idea, everybody was trying to go free to play with microtransactions and they thought they wouldn't cash in on that trend. They completely betrayed the entire community of players who really really like the game and were very dedicated. I say were because a lot of them unfortunately never came back, even after Unchained finally became a really really good game but it was far too late. If they would have released that initially up front with great maps, fun co-op gameplay, unlockable characters people could grind to earn or just buy to look cool at a faster pace the game could have really been good......
Unfortunately by the time they made it a very very good game that was truly quite fun, it was already far too late because everybody already left with their horrible horrible MOBA cash in attempt that backfired.
Hopefully the good news from this though is they have learned their lesson and we can look forward to a really good works must die 4 game and even beyond. But who knows....
