I have got to get me a four series Deere. We bought 30acres last year and my two series 2520r is just not big enough now. It was great for our 3 acre place and the 500 acre Deer lease...here in east Texas. Thanks for the video. Makes me want a few head of cattle now.
I like the 4052R but if I was to do it over again I would strongly consider the 5075. I went with the 4 due to the hydrostatic transmission but lifting pallets full of green firewood and 2000 pounds of feed, it’s at its limit and I can surely feel it. Great tax benefit for the farm also. I used to squirrel hunt in Chester, Tx. few years ago on a deer lease.
@@CnSFarms ... thanks for the feedback! I have been torn between those two tractors as they are similar in price. I test drove a 5075e with power reverser and I was very impressed. Just didn’t know how I would like it for loader work. I live in the sticks between Troup and Henderson ,Texas. Our deer lease is in Cass county near Hughes Springs.
@@rgd2598 The 5 series is more of an Ag tractor and the 4 is like a teenager that doesn't know if it wants to be a man or still play with Tonka trucks. If you're planning on having any bigger implements like a batwing rotary cutter then the 5 will do much better. I can't wait until I can upgrade to a 5.
I enjoy watching your videos. Started by researching the tractor. I interested in raising cows but I don't know much about it, just starting my research on it. How do you make money raising cows? Are you just raising calfs and selling them? What is your approach to making money raising cows?
Thanks for watching Bryant. In my opinion, the only way to “make money” with cattle is to have a full time operation. I have a hobby farm, consisting of 5 momma cows and a bull. I break even barely, and get enjoyment out of raising them.
@@CnSFarms Yes that what I was thinking. I'm looking to retire early and was also thinking about this as a hobby. Of course it's always good if you can make some money at your hobby. Are you selling the cows as beef cows or do you sell the calfs?
