    I love when I binge a bunch of videos from a youtuber and then check out their channel just to see they only have a few thousand subscribers. Your work is definitely above what your subscriber count is and I've really loved all the resume and portfolio reviews you've done. Thanks for all the helpful content!

    Dude, having different languages that you can speak on your resume is really good. Even if you wont use this, maybe the company you are working for have a client who speaks different language...
    No reason at all to remove the language skills from CV in my opinion.

    • @DarianSampare
      @DarianSampare  Před 3 lety +1

      I find that's true for other fields, but not so much in software engineering. Maybe if you work for a very specific place that has clients overseas or something, there are always exceptions.
      But generally, if you are looking for your first job and only have one page to sell yourself, I'd suggest prioritizing your technical skills.

    • @Issvor
      @Issvor Před 2 lety +6

      @@DarianSampare of course prioritize your tech skills, but you've already told him to remove 50% of what he had on there. Keeping the languages would only benefit him

    • @2dollarkevin
      @2dollarkevin Před 2 lety +1

      I agree, I see you speak Spanish, for us with our heads out of hour butts specifying you can speak different languages specially English, makes a difference.

    • @principioequivalencia9455
      @principioequivalencia9455 Před 2 lety +3

      @@2dollarkevin yeah, programming languages are as important as languages that you speak. No reason AT ALL to not tell what other languages you can speak, specially if you are not born in an english speaking country, like me... For example, i speak Portuguese, English and a little bit of Spanish. No way i wouldnt expose this skills on any kind of job... Its always on my CV resume.

    • @principioequivalencia9455
      @principioequivalencia9455 Před 2 lety +1

      Also, programming is almost 100% based on english language, so specifying that you are fluent, or at least are used to english language is so good for tech jobs...

      Yeah bro, Dan's resume at the end was so stacked lmao. College degree, bootcamp, projects that use front end and back end technologies with unit testing. I can only assume that he just never applied to any jobs because he looks like a senior dev that got Isekai'd into 2021 America
