Modify your boat at your own risk.
Used some ideas from you on my ice fishing jet sled. Good practice for my project boat this spring.
What is an ice fishing jet sled?!? You have my attention.
you should do detachable transom wheels for truck bed storing and solo moving
You’ve come around to Cleco’s! 👍 Here is another one for you - to keep the 5200 off your skin use some Kodak Photo-Flo 200. You dip your finger in it and it forms a barrier for a short time so you can touch 5200, caulk, or silicone without it sticking to your finger.
I watch all kinds of DIY stuff all day. Your projects are by far the most impressively intricate and well-done. I will never even attempt something like this, but I love watching you do it.
Looking good man. Those hinges worked out perfectly
Heyo! I actually live Not far from you over in Bloomington and heard about you a while back through Courtland. I just tore out the flooring from my sea nymph.. so I'm going to have a fun project this winter. Love you guys is working ideas! Keep it up and thank you
Picking up a 19ft starcraft center console.... Been loving these vids
Your videos and products have motivated me to rehab a 16 ft Jon
I realize that you guys are big into the bass fishing aspect but my goal is to use this boat primarily for bow fishing so I will need a shooting deck/knee rail/series of flood lights/and dead well for large snakeheads in addition to most of the other aspects of your builds
I would love to see you do a project along these lines
Bowfishing is becoming very popular here in the east and I’m sure that there are lots of people that could benefit from your knowledge and experience
Who got mad about the yak killer 😂 thats the best name ever
I really like the way the wires was ran in this boat, you don’t have to worry about trying to get another wire in a tube incase you have to run some new wire down the road
about to start building a 1236, cant wait to use some of your ideas on mine!
Yes another video keep up the great work!!!
Someday you need to go buy a boat new and kit it out. Like one of them Academy Sport boats. Think I seen somebody kinda do it but they got a 15’ v haul flat bottom which was not a basic boat. Love the builds!
Great solution and designs again🙌🙌🙌
Glad you like them!
I just started a 1232 myself. Awesome Vid.
This thing is awesome but for any offshore saltwater use I would choose a yak any day
Any plans (or room!) for a live well in this build? Love all the storage. Your builds just keep getting better.
You talked about bucking rivets. Cherrylocks are more expensive, but the labor savings is unbelievable. Stronger than most bucks and install just like pop rivets.
@@TinyBoatNation www.cherryaerospace.com/. I have been watching your videos, and actually don't think Cherry is for you. You CANNOT instal these without an air compressor (I've tried.) With a compressor and the right gun, they are stupid fast and atmosphere tight (as in, air doesn't come through the hole when your flying.) Love what you're doing, my medium is wood, but I'm incorporating some of your ideas into my dory build.
Really sweet set up. Cant wait to see how it turns out :)
The tin bass yak. Can’t wait to see it finished. Awesome work brother
Glad you finally moved to full aluminum over those plastic tubs. Last step is to dump those rivets and get onto compression rivets dude, solid rivets like in airplane frames, no leaks, all aluminium, cheap and soooo fast and strong, cmon, make the switch
Are you thinking of getting the new m18 rivet gun?
Loving this series man great work as always
Clitko are made for Aircraft building kit. Awesome vids man.
Thanks!
Id like to see the finish product
Epic !!!
Woah, this is going to be sweet
At this point in your game... you just need to roll out your own hulls.
Something tells me that will not take long. He will be the next Skeeter, Tracker or G3. Maybe he will partner with War Eagle making a awesome ‘micro bass killer series’
Nice, very nice
This may seem stupid but I would like to see a sink test on a boat built like this go to a shallow area maybe 3’ deep and see how much water it can take before sinking
Quite a project. Looks like an efficient build. Are those golf putter rod separators you are using for the rod locker tubes? Do you have the link for those?
What would be the best 14-16'haul to start one of these builds for the great lakes?
I need this kit!!
Nice work man... Let's get we had to have it I just gutted my old 16 ft... What size rivets do you use mainly? And I'm going to order some of those cleco holders too
I'm afraid to ask the costs of all that aluminum.
In your opinion what’s the smallest boat you would convert for an individual that weighs ~300 pounds?
I love the work you do but as an aircraft license mechanic you need to get a aircraft mechanic hand book it will help you a lot
Honest question. Would it be more or less weight if you had a mig or tig welder and welded it all ? Or so little difference it ain’t worth it ... ?
What did you do for the deck?
What’s the tool you’re using to cut the aluminum at 17:54 in? I can't seem to find it on your site? Great stuff btw!
What about a tiny catfish boat?
So beginner here- what saw are you using ro cut your aluminium? And what eivir hin are you using? Thanks. Just room apart my aluminium boat tha5 jad all rotten wood inside. Full of carpenter ants. Ugg. I waa foung to redo with wood but really want to use aluminum. Im hust intimidated because Ive only really ever worked with wood.
Man I would love to just come help you on a build to fully understand what’s going on before I start one!
hell ya. I like to just call and pick his brain before I start.
Question do you feel with seats fully removed there is enough support?
I have a 14' starcraft I wanna no how to begin in my subfloor and keep a water drain down the middle, Can you guide me with something ?
If you take a soap and water solution and dip your fingers in it and then touch the 520, It won’t stick on you!
Hello, what thickness of aluminum angles you used
Could you essentially have a live well instead of the extra storage space? On a 12ft jon boat?
It adds a lot of extra weight but yes. I didn't add 1 because of the extra wight issue
How thick was the spacer
Do you have a good full video of doing the side rails?
@@TinyBoatNation are the side rails pop riveted in place
Do you think eventually a main brand company will do something like this?
@@TinyBoatNation True it will be interesting if they do because what you are doing is incredible with these boats
What are the best boats for these builds?
You are ones with less damage
@@TinyBoatNation thanks. Bad time to buy one the prices have doubled
There called piano hinges
Bro you can buy a nice ass metal brake for a few hundred dollars, how do you not have one when this is what you do lol
Why does every adhesive product, paint, dye, etc,.. adhere to skin better than the materials it’s engineered for?!
I don’t need a live well
He discovered clecos!!!
Oh my look at your hands. LOL
Disposable gloves are wonderful things when it comes to handling goo.
@@hammer9856 Covid... $40 a box of you can even get them. My work is still trying to get them and having a hard time paying out the butt to get them. He might be having that same problem. Even the local Fastenal and industrial suppliers are having problems getting gloves
@@fryreartechnology7611 Keep looking, we have a pharm. that stocks them at sane prices. Many are taking advantage of the pandemic and price gouging. But there are retailers who are honest. I've found that mom and pop businesses are usually the best sources.
Hey buddy I want to talk to you about a live well system that is kind of half ass created in my mind and I want to see what your thoughts were on it before I dig deep and possibly create something awesome I just want your professional opinion etc etc is there some way you and I could talk in private like over a zoom meeting or something like that like if you have an email or could I give you my email whatever I want to I want to talk to you
Have you ever heard of latex gloves lol
Break the market? Nah fam. Nice boat tho.
to save some more weight, have you considered not putting rod tubes and creating a rod channel like what are on the new skeeter boats? see the video at minute 13:30 czcams.com/video/Z93xbLjr1g4/video.html&lc=UgxTgNnr4p-kyTIQGOl4AaABAg.9J-m279u1mg9J-n7S53gYJ
