Apart from doing this, remember to always uninstall games if you are not playing them anymore and you have their installer in a separate (likely external HDD), sometimes this error may pop up due to lack of space in your drive, or at least I think it did for me. In any case, freeing up space in your disk is not a bad idea either way.

@@hyper_boy4123 Start your computer in safe mode (look for how to do it if you don't know) and install the game, don't touch anything while the installation is going on and everything should be ok. Once you finish installing the game restart your computer like normal (not in safe mdoe) and there you go, should be good.

I struggled with Isdone.dll -12 errors that killed the unpacking process in half. I did everything possible to solve in the YT forums and tutorials, nothing was solved until I even investigated the behavior of the components and found that my processor was at 105ºC or 205ºF and this ended up knocking down the whole process, so the solution was to place the fan next the open pc

Worked for me Game -ac 3 remastered I did some changes- first i went in safe mode to do the installation and tick the box of ram limits in the setup ( trust me guys it made the setup speed go brrrrrrrr) the change was 1 hour 40 mins to 20 mins (from when its was stucking {32%}) now its 24mins and its almost 56% done) Thanks you

Actually I have realized most games fail to install due to filled up temp folder...mine was 4GB, after i cleared it up...my game installed perfectly. If clearing Temp folder doesnt work...go ahead and increase Virtual Memory. you can access Temp Folder by opening up Run...then type %TEMP%. Youre welcome!
If anyone still has this problem just move the folder someplace else. Make sure its not in a folder or a subfolder that has numbers on it or its written in a language other than english.
If you're trying to do in a non system partition, do what he did until he puts it into manual, then select your partition, then put "system managed", then reselect auto. It worked for me. I was installing in D drive with OS in C. That way I didn't lose any unnecessary space in the drive.

How much RAM do you have ? During Installation did u check ur RAM usage ? Typically for huge Games, you will need the exact amount of Space as your Installed system Memnory (RAM). Lets say you have 8GB of RAM, then you will need atleast 8GB of Virtual Memory Set on your fastest available HDD.(This is for Big Resource heavy decompressions only a.k.a Big A$$ Repacks). If you have an SSD with atleast 10-12GB free allocate that 8 or 9GB as Virtual Memory. SSD's are way better for Virtual Memory Allocation, allbeit for Temporary Game Installation Purposes. You may de allocate that Virtual Memory after Installation is all done and the Game runs fine. Some times the Game files being corrupt can false report this error, as some affected files go on in an infinite loop of decompression using up too much RAM and Virtual Memory, stay away from installing those games, they probably wont work. Older versions of Windows 10 also cause these issues. This Trick Worked for GTA 5 Fitgirl Repack which was 42GB but needed to be unpacked to like 95GB, damn I had to free up so much space for that to allocate 16GB virtual memory (I had 16GB installed memory) I tried Allocating 3, 6, 10, then finallyo ut of frustration i allocated 16.9GB as Virtual Memory LOL XD. It finally worked. I was scared that all my downloaded data wud go to waste due to file corruption. :(. Luckily this trick works, provided you have a Good enough CPU, SSD and RAM. (My SSD had to be 117GB Free for all this Thats a lot of SSD Real Estate). HDD are Painfully Slow during these Installations so I opted to Install on my SSD, I can move the Entire Game to an HDD and Play now if I want. :) Cheers

Atlast, i fixed this. 1. Run in compatible mode (using w10 , but compt to w7) 2. If u have 8gb or less ram, use the 4gb limit tick button 3. Install where space is above the requirements obviously and also, half of its extra memory, because the temp files require significant storage for installation. (Like for 40gb storage requirement, make 40*1.5= 60gb free space) 4. Do not interfere with the setup process And, it got installed after 7th try
I found the solution: First check that file should be downloaded properly after that say u dowload game in any drive say f drive first rename the folder name and write as short as possible like a,b,c but short. After that when you install the game the most imp. Part install the game in same drive like f as i have download in f drive and dont install in folder in folder simply install in f drive not in folder in folder in drive basically i mean to say the name of destination of installation should be small for ex f:\ghost like this where ghost is name of game and it should be simply like a b c and downloaded folder and installed folder name should not be same Thats it if u have any prob. Hmmm. ... I've have heard a lot of people with the same problem... which site did u download it from... (The source of the Torrent file something like that) ? BTW I've Installed Sims 4 and this error never pooped out, it came clean... I used the FitGirl one and it works fine.... try this : 1) Set virtual memory to static size of 12-16 GB (Just refer this Video On the steps) 2) Close ALL RAM-eating apps, especially browsers. 3) Run installer with Windows 7 compatibility (Should work fine if u launch Setup in Administrator mode ). 4) Check “Limit to 2 GB RAM” in installer (if u have 6GB or lower RAM). 5) Try to free up some space on the HDD like 20- 30GB atleast, more is better.
I saw the same guide from one Indian guy. And I got this problem after changing my pc and installing a fresh copy of win 10 1909. Previously I didnt have this problem. This video helped. My metro exodus is installed now. Also I installed win rar and updated Visual Studio (2005 to 2020). Dont know what really helped but it did. But why nobody explains this? Why you even should change amount of virtual memory ?
Virtual Memory is basically there to keep the processing work continuing even when the RAM is full. so the OS doesnt have to delete contents from RAM to allocate new processes and discard existing processes. RAM overflow was a big problem in older windows versions, causing System crashes because of not enough RAM. Virtual Memory doubles the amount of System memory available, all be it, a slow one.

go on google type isdon.dll fix and install it when u installed extract it with winrar then this isdone.dll copy and paste into system32 if u have 32bit but if u have 64 bit then u must to go in syswow64 and paste it

@@jashsylde8136 yes,i only did that and change nothing with virtual memory.it work for me.i guess im just lucky.i dont know.i also got low spec pc but still can run rdr2.the game is beautiful even on low setting.

Atlast, i fixed this. 1. Run in compatible mode (using w10 , but compt to w7)
2. If u have 8gb or less ram, use the 4gb limit tick button
3. Install where space is above the requirements obviously and also, half of its extra memory, because the temp files require significant storage for installation. (Like for 40gb storage requirement, make 40*1.5= 60gb free space)
4. Do not interfere with the setup process

I found the solution:
First check that file should be downloaded properly after that say u dowload game in any drive say f drive first rename the folder name and write as short as possible like a,b,c but short. After that when you install the game the most imp. Part install the game in same drive like f as i have download in f drive and dont install in folder in folder simply install in f drive not in folder in folder in drive basically i mean to say the name of destination of installation should be small for ex f:\ghost like this where ghost is name of game and it should be simply like a b c and downloaded folder and installed folder name should not be same

Hmmm. ... I've have heard a lot of people with the same problem... which site did u download it from... (The source of the Torrent file something like that) ? BTW I've Installed Sims 4 and this error never pooped out, it came clean...
I used the FitGirl one and it works fine.... try this :
1) Set virtual memory to static size of 12-16 GB (Just refer this Video On the steps)
2) Close ALL RAM-eating apps, especially browsers.
3) Run installer with Windows 7 compatibility
(Should work fine if u launch Setup in Administrator mode ).
4) Check “Limit to 2 GB RAM” in installer (if u have 6GB or lower RAM).
5) Try to free up some space on the HDD like 20- 30GB atleast, more is better.

I saw the same guide from one Indian guy. And I got this problem after changing my pc and installing a fresh copy of win 10 1909.
Previously I didnt have this problem.
This video helped. My metro exodus is installed now.
Also I installed win rar and updated Visual Studio (2005 to 2020). Dont know what really helped but it did.
But why nobody explains this? Why you even should change amount of virtual memory ?
Virtual Memory is basically there to keep the processing work continuing even when the RAM is full. so the OS doesnt have to delete contents from RAM to allocate new processes and discard existing processes. RAM overflow was a big problem in older windows versions, causing System crashes because of not enough RAM. Virtual Memory doubles the amount of System memory available, all be it, a slow one.

and the page file was set to auto and it was about 8gigs.
So why changing it to 4gigs fixes the issue with dll?

go on google type isdon.dll fix and install it when u installed extract it with winrar then this isdone.dll copy and paste into system32 if u have 32bit but if u have 64 bit then u must to go in syswow64 and paste it
