    You also need to give the Sonos move about 20 seconds to calibrate to its adjustments because it automatically calibrates. You were shutting it off before they had a chance to calibrate to the room size.

    Great video :) And being someone who have been interested in HiFi for most of my life (owning sevaral pairs of floorstanding speakers, amplifiers and so on), I gotta agree with you about the Bose sounding more "compressed", so I would choose the Sono myself :)

    I tried both for about a week, and playing one then the other for the same song. I came to the conclusion I like the Bose more for a variety of reasons. 1. More full sound at all volumes and there isn’t as much compression at higher volumes. The move just sounded thin, no mater what eq I changed on both the move or Spotify. 2. The integration with Spotify connect was clunky and so many times the audio wouldn’t change when adjusting to my phone or would be really laggy. 3. Can’t group speakers in google home with the roam. 4. The microphones on the move don’t pick up the voice nearly as well. 5. The Sonos app is clunky, and no well laid out. 6. I already have other bose smart speakers and they all just work and the setup is easy. The move setup was clunky and had to trouble shoot to getting google assistant to connect. If your just using the Sonos app, and Sonos voice command it’s probably great, but if you’re using it with google or Amazon for a home eco system it just doesn’t work very well. 7. Also visually, the Bose is better looking in the white color.

    I use both the portable home speaker and the Bose 500 wich has a bass module! I pair them together via the Bose app and it sounds like a whole new speaker! Not to mention I can turn up the treble and bass via the Bose app! Btw if you had downloaded the app an turned up up the bass and treble your Bose speaker would have blown your Sonos into another dimension

      @TheGeorge65  Před rokem

      yes we did try that.

    • @purge_them_all
      @purge_them_all Před rokem

      The thing is that the reviews are for the non-EQ'd devices, how they are meant to be heard without any enhancements at all, because both speakers do offer bass and treble adjustments so it doesn't really matter. The fact that Sonos sounds better right out of the box, with a fuller sound and bass makes it the undeniable winner here. Also, the Sonos ecosystem, man. I have a Beam Gen 2 and the picture frame/speaker and this portable speaker would push the sound beyond its limits. Auto calibration for wherever you put it within half a minute for a better sound experience. And the Gen 2 is coming this month according to rumours. If anyone reads this comment, wait for the upgraded version because it will probably have much better sound (stereo this time around) and double the battery!

  • @josemanuellastra2488

    Hi
    Great speakers but I have an important doubt as a Sonos owner that I really want to solve,
    According Sonos, their speakers are more susceptible to have connectivity issues because of Wireless interference, I have a Roam and it has too many issues when playing music through Airplay and Apple Music, songs get skipped, paused or there are too many brief audio interruptions especially using airplay, with Spotify Connect usually works rock solid, but I don’t have the disposal to troubleshoot my network just for a single speaker when I have other devices on my Wifi network, including my Alexa 4th gen Echo speaker of course, that work just fine, and we’re 5 family members in my home that use the internet for more important things rather than to troubleshoot a single speaker. My questions are, which speaker has a better Wifi connectivity the Sonos Move or the Bose Portable Home Speaker? Which is the most efective way to troubleshoot Wifi issues either for Sonos and Bose speakers? I was thinking to return my Roam but I really love the sound, the design and the Alexa integration and it’s Airplay and Spotify Connect functions, and I found the diagnostic feature very useful for network troubleshooting. Any advise?

    • @TheGeorge65
      @TheGeorge65  Před rokem

      I would set up a private guest network so you can only log into it for troubleshooting. On the other question about which one has better wifi connectivity, I think both of them provide good connectivity it is more a choice of preference. I think that Bose is a little slicker on there apps and such, but the Sonos sound is a little better. I can deal with a little confusion on the setup for better sound.

    • @josemanuellastra2488
      @josemanuellastra2488 Před rokem

      @@TheGeorge65 According Sonos the devices can’t setup on guests networks or hotel Wifi, so all the troubleshooting from Sonos are almost wireless interference related, I mean, they blame our network 95% of the times. So, I just want to know if it’s indeed a network problem or some kind of firmware issues because many people are reporting similar behaviors, and here in Mexico where I am, the Sonos support technicians seem to be too busy or too lazy because nobody answer to the phone calls, hanging out after waiting too much time, very frustrating

    • @TheGeorge65
      @TheGeorge65  Před rokem

      if you have a iPhone or other apple device it should be pretty straight forward. but if you are using a PC then load up your iTunes software and in the top left of the iTunes application you should see a button that has a triangle on it with some circles above it. click that and you should see your Sonos as a option to stream cast to it.
