Most have to remain dangerously skinny and have flawless skin. You have to comply to inhumane rules by your company. You have to work longer than usual at times (depending on your groups populate it) and do interviews, shows, podcasts with disgusting hours - where your only time to sleep is during intermissions/breaks. Then I guess you have to sing or rap really well and dance in sync. There’s also a level of etiquette that idols must have - no swearing, smiling 24/7, a charismatic personality, etc. I don’t wanna mention the public and media. Sorry, I was listing these so I can remind myself that this is a gruelling and toxic industry and sometimes doing the minimum requires a lot :,(

@@jasminewoops9860 Good point. I meant normal people in the way of criteria. You have to be very good looking in the Korean beauty standards - which has most young idols going under the knife. Most have to remain dangerously skinny and have flawless skin. You have to comply to inhumane rules by your company. You have to work longer than usual at times (depending on your groups populate it) and do interviews, shows, podcasts with disgusting hours - where your only time to sleep is during intermissions/breaks. Then I guess you have to sing or rap really well and dance in sync. There’s also a level of etiquette that idols must have - no swearing, smiling 24/7, a charismatic personality, etc. I don’t wanna mention the public and media.
Sorry, I was listing these so I can remind myself that this is a gruelling and toxic industry and sometimes doing the minimum requires a lot :,(

Even the doctors make that mistake, they, sometimes make mistakes in giving prescription, but not because they are doing it on purpose, it could sometimes cause for a patient's different results from tests. Even test results make mistakes, so if you mean profession means perfection, it's not realistic, and it's most likely to be just an impossible expectation. I tell you again, no one is perfect, let them be human as they are supposed to be, Idols make mistakes not because they don't fit to be one, they make one because it's natural.
