Most of Hindu Names are derived from characters from EPICs Ramayana or Mahavharatha
For example, In Mahabharatha, Lord Krishna was charioteer for Arjuna duirng the battle. PARTHASARATHI is one name by which Lord Krishna is known as, wihch translates into PARTHA's (Arjuna's) SARATHI (Charioteer). Some times in the wordplay KR$NA calls / compares himself to Lord KRISHNA>

That charioter thingy comes from Hindu epics. Krishna the god becomes a charioter and guides his side to victory in the battle of Mahabharata. Similarly kr$na the rapper guides the flow(notice the double on River and banks here) of his music and gets victory over his opponents.

When Lord Krishna died ( actually he did not die , he departed himself ) people tried to cremate him , But his body was not burning as he was a god . So , they kept his body on a boat and left it in the river Mahanadi . After many years the body turned into a log of wood and came to Odissa .Then Lord Vishnu appeared in the dream of king and told him to make idol of it . That idol is what you see people worshipping in Puri in the form of Lord Jagannath in Jagannath Temple situated over a small hill in the bank of the river Mahanadi . Kr$na says that hr will be worshipped like that in future .You need a lot knowledge to write lyrics like that .
