@@Techviralizer I'm pretty sure that for most console games, the PC version will support controller, and you can make a very competent PC for the price of a console. Watch the LTT about killing the PS5 and then realize that was over a year ago.
Yes, I know, most of console games that also are on PCs do support controllers, but PC games that are not on consoles often do not.

@@tabalugadragon3555 Consoles are more often cheaper, need less maintenance, easier to set up and buy, and split screen is way easier.
For me consoles are actually more expensive in the long run, since I don't watch TV and therefore don't have one to plug a console in, so if we (correctly) account for the price of the mouse, keyboard and screen for the PC then we also need to account for the extra costs that come with a console, so a TV, the controllers and then on top of that if you want to play online you need to pay a constant extra fee to Sony or Microsoft so that they allow you to use the internet that you're already paying for, plus the games are generally more expensive for longer, here on PC I can just wait 5 years or so and then get the game for extra cheap on a sale and for anyone who uses their PC to work from home the PC actually pays for itself.
And the main reason I prefer PC wasn't even really mentioned because that would be the options that PC offers, no matter if you wanna play with ultra graphics and a few extra shaders and texture mods installed or if you instead wanna turn everything down to low in order to get 400+ fps, you can do that.
No matter if you wanna play with mouse and keyboard, a PS or Xbox controller, wheel or a joystick, you can even switch on the spot if you wanna aim with mouse and drive with controller.
And if you wanna replace the dragons in Skyrim with a flying Thomas the tank engine then you can do that too, it's the overall freedom that PC gives me that I prefer over console (plus as a left handed person I hate playing with controllers but that's a side issue).
But to each their own, also the bathroom is finally free again so I can stop rambling here, have a good one everybody who reads this. :)

@@Platinum199 Sure, but my overall point still stands that either way you're gonna have to buy something extra to display your games on, just like you have to for PC (since very often console fanboys pretend like those extra costs only exist for PC).
And on a side note, if I already have a monitor then I probably also already have a PC so might as well just use that instead. :p

Hmmm, maybe it was… No but I didn’t say that you are cramped in one position no matter what you do. But for the most of the time, people will play on keyboard and mouse, and most likely be cramped in one position.

On the point about playing split screen I can not think of many games that offer split screen in the way that Minecraft does but there are loads of games on steam that are 2-4 players on the same screen and you can use controllers and sit on the couch and play.
Yes I agree, but it feels like split screen (definitely on PCs) is just getting less and less over time😢
PC'S, not laptops:
I don't know about everywhere. But here all mains supply electrical items are earthed. I use a paint brush and a vacuum cleaner, from a distance. Brush to loosen vacuum to suck it away. And around the fans I don't let them spin up. stick a finger in the blade.
Don't forget your pc's power supply. Cooked an I7 through the power supply getting thick with fuzzy stuff off carpets and other material sources. Including dust too hot. My MSI had me unable to clean it for warrantee reasons. The crud was almost completely covering the GPU fans. By the time the warrantee ran out. 20 degree C drop when I cleaned them. Yep, a few times but no one answered my request to let me clean it.
I'd suggest you get a better build pc if you're having all those fix it'z. (I've seen notices but never those ones : - ) )
In using pc's both homebuilt and store bought and their ancestors the ZX 80A's from zilog Tandy TRS 80's. Dick Smith System 80's. Sinclair? ZX80, I think.
I haven't had many problems since 1982. After the 386 SX arrived. Then the trail of DX's 486 SX the DX..... Apart from good quality games to play. THEY are rare.
8 or more players in a school computer room. Is the best. Or we had an internet shop early on in the internet days. Wednesday evening, we had a computer club gaming night. The atmosphere of everyone in the same room was what made it great. The instant feedback from the dead and dying, to the surprised choking gasp of disbelief when the one doing the mauling got creamed. 🙂
I have trouble with consoles, not dexterous enough to use them, between my ears.
But better than keyboard and mouse is a flight joystick. One stick left and right twist, forward and backward stick for look in all directions, Or top hat for fine quick looks. Multiple triggers. And lots of buttons. Disadvantage can be big. Taller than a console, or keyboard and mouse Too short to put a lot of electronics in it so you'd still need a game source PS? version Xbox or the daddy of them all a pc. And a 50' plus monitor.
The bigger downside is mapping everything to the keys you want. THEN the really big challenge, remembering them. 🙂

Is it not a problem though to have your documents and your games in the same storage device? If that one thing goes corrupt you basically lose everything
Also with the sizes of games these days even a 4 TB SSD gets filled up rather quickly
You can install multiple SSDs or Harddrives in your PC, plus no matter what you're using it's always smart to have an external backup.

No the general problem is more that I am not comfortable filling out the whole drive with games as I would be with dedicated gaming devices
You gotta leave at least 30 percent free for other stuff
Also SSDs are EXPENSIVE that even a 4TB SATA one can cost you as much as a mid tier graphics card
Its the same deal with smartphones which could play some really big games if you didnt need the storage for literally everything else
@@Katzelle3 Well it always depends on the user, the games I play are all small enough that I've been fine with a 2 TB harddrive for over 5 years now (plus that's also where I store everything else on, so not just my games). And HDDs are super cheap these days and aside from a few super demanding games most run perfectly fine on an HDD as well.
@@free4fire Tried a hard drive and it introduced noise to what was previously a completely silent machine on idle
It also made explorer feel more sluggish since background tasks kept accessing it
@@Katzelle3 Yeah the downside of HDD are the noises but I'm used to the roaring beasts of the late 90s early 2000s so I'm not too bothered by a bit of noise, plus if we take it back to the PC vs Console argument, modern consoles (especially the PS) can hardly be described as silent either.
The windows explorer slowdown only started happening for me after about 4 or 5 years of use and it only takes around a second and a half to load stuff instead of it being instant, so for the much lower price I paid compared to an SSD it's an acceptable trade off in my book.
But like I said, it depends on the user and what they prefer.

PC hands down. You can do so much more with a pc compared to console. You can watch and record TV shows and films. You can record music using a mic and guitar. You can edit videos. It is easier to upgrade a pc like add more storage or change a gpu or cpu and add more memory. Games look better and are cheaper on PC and you don't have to buy a subscription to play online games like CSGO or Counter Strike 2. And you don't need disks to play games any more because you can just download them from sites like Steam and Ubisoft. And you can still use controllers like XBOX360 controller for Windows either with or without a cable to play games. So that is some of the reasons why pc are better than consoles.

The most annoying part of the pc gaming is pc ports when it comes to games, oh god do i hate it, have higher fps than the developers intended? game breaks! wanna play a game that was originally designed for consoles in mind? it runs awful on pc.. not to mention AMD always breaking their drivers with every update. PC is better when it actually works.

Hehehe, I agree, sitting on a couch is so much better than being cramped in one position. But, I find it really hard to work on a console… Of course for gaming only, I myself think that console gaming is more fun and gives the unique feeling of autheticity and nostalgia.
i just move my pc to my loungeroom on those days its a lil more work but worth it + i connect a xbox controller

i agree with most of this video but one point is a little misleading. Consoles do have one upgrade path and thats the storage. Which is something most people would like to upgrade considering game sizes now if they saw this video they would think they cant change the storage

The money I need to lose for a modern gaming PC can buy me several gaming consoles at once with way more options to chose from. Also graphics cards these days are way too expensive. Maybe in India you get everything bootlegged. But not in Europe.

I don't have any of those crashing issues on my PC because I don't run Windows. No one should use Windows or support Microsoft or Apple for that matter IMO. Use Fedora or Nobara.
