Even before the Ultimania I thought the silent exchange/nod between Cloud and Barret was leading up to Clouds hug with Tifa in the garden. Every couple in Final Fantasy series got at least one hug / kiss scene before. I never thought we will get to see this amazing and heartfelt scene! I'm overjoyed seeing this. I cried. Speechless but can't help smiling. Finally, we get to see an actual hug of comfort from Cloud and Tifa! And the way he hugged her so tight.. My heart can't take it, I want them kiss next 😭

If i were to compare it with anime; Cloud is the shy main protaganist, Tifa is his childhood friend who he get along well & Aerith is the transfer student. It also remind me of Ichigo 100% manga (one of the best harem manga).

Maybe someone here knows, I remember reading something about Aeriths voice line in the japanese version being different when telling Cloud to go after Tifa when she's being transported by Corneos goons.
She says "Tifa....something". I remember reading it was something like "Tifa is special to you, right" or "Tifa is your special person right?". Does anyone know what the actual translation is?
"Taisetsuna (precious) hito (human/person) deshou? (Right?)" That's the exact translation for every words aerith said back then. And someone connect the dot when she mentioned about precious person with elmyra( her mom, i dont remember the spelling) which was her husband, her most important person passed away. Aerith used the exact same words in both situations 🥰💜

I have been reading comments and analyzes I realized there r some minor differences between EG aub and Japanese ones. Anyhow I believe EG translation is the most close one to original's but it is more likely to understand different tones that Cloud use to communicate with different pple. Christian Cody naild it as Sukura (not sure bout the name I apologize) did. For instance cloud speaks mor gentle and soft with Tifa which is conformed by Ultamania
Takahiro Sakurai JP Voice actor, and yes The tone is different when Cloud speaks with others and with Tifa, for the Japanese version the difference is clearly seen. The tone of the Cloud is softer towards Tifa, for the English version it is not too much but it is also not bad, but the worst is the translation from Japanese to English, there are some different sentences with the Japanese version

This post is 3 yrs ago but I just came across it. I saw people arguing about who makes Cloud more comfortable, Tifa or Arieth and how that translates to him liking them more.
Here's the thing, if you saw your crush, are you going to be comfortable around them? No. You're going to act differently either to hide that you have feelings for them or not to appear embarassing, like you will try to act cool or something.
To me jessie makes him uncomfortable. He is comfortable with Aerith. But with Tifa, he's in the middle, he's comfortable but not too comfortable because he's trying to come across as cool and a hero to Tifa to impress her, not knowing she already likes him back. Now, why would he try to impress a girl he doesn't like, makes no sense.
It sure would be nice if Cloud could sing Tifa a little lullaby! That depends on the time that I'm actually thinking about! UwU

@@Oddfosshaugbagi Remember, Cloud and Zack where best friend so Cloud would know Zack pretty well, they where both experimented on and where injected with Jenova cells, Zack was already a SOLDER so he was able to take the experiments but Cloud never made it into SOLDER and ended up with extreme Mako poisoning. Furthermore, Zack and Aerith where together and loved each other. The point, is Cloud was projecting Zack onto himself, so most of what Zack felt Cloud felt for Aerith. Remember too, Jenova can mimic everything about a person including their feelings, so when Zack died he essentially became Zack because of Jenova, We really don't know what Clouds True feeling where, Sorry there's a lot of lore with Zack and Cloud and you can't get it in just one game, the story unfolds over several games😋👍

I was always a Tifa shipper and didn't put any interest into Aerith in the original.
But I gotta admit... Though cloud hates to see Tifa hurt and distraught. It's Aerith that gets to him more and unlocks his defences and tears down his walls.
He's just less awkward with Aerith and learns how to deal with people.
Don't hate on me for this, just how I saw Cloud react to each girl in the remake. Either way, I hope he finds his peace this time.

Well, Aerith was a lonely kid. An outcast. Cloud was just the same. Still is. Somehow, they have a much better chemistry. It flows naturally. He also didn't see Tifa in a long time. I don't remember a part of them having such a close friendship then either. It was distant. Also people change with time. In conclusion, I can see what you mean. In all honesty, that is the very true reason why I started shipping CloudxAerith.

Also, Jenova cells have mind-altering effects. That's the reason why I don't support Clerith. Cloud himself even said this in the OG "It’s true that sometimes *I can’t figure out who I am.*

Once you have been in a couple of relationships in your life. You can understand 'this' better. Just saying. If Aerith lives in the remake, I have a feeling she might just end up with Cloud. Yeah he’s letting his Cloith cloud common sense. It’s clear as day in this Remake that Tifa loves Cloud. There’s no denying/arguing that fact especially when she was worried that something was going on between him and Aerith. If she was just going for friends with Cloud then she wouldn’t care about that.
Plus throw in the “Asking Cloud out on a date” scene and then way she looked and reacted towards Cloud there...oh yeah just friends! Yeah no, she loves him and is waiting for him to make the move.

Remake Ultimania never confirmed that Cloud's true self came out when he is with Tifa. Devs said in an interview that Cloud acts comfortable when he is with Tifa. There's a difference.
