Covering so much , it may sometimes be difficult to pronounce many local names, I'm not going to complain or correct many names but I just want to say that the longest river in Mizoram is Tlawng and the 'T' in Tlawng is not supposed to be silent rather lead the tongue. It is so difficult to get information about rivers, waterways, lakes and seabeds on the internet. This was excellent and very clear.
Rivers are so important to the cultures of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, in fact the world in general, but maps and navigation information seems unavailable. I am in thailand and my old hard copy maps are back in Australia, but they would not have this detail. Thank you very so much, 🙏 Maybe other rivers in India and later Pakistan? I live in hope. 😊 I found them on your CZcams sight, I’m in heaven!!!!

Correction: Aizawl is located on the hill, it is not a plain area. Tlawng river(the longest river in Mizoram) doesn't flows through the capital city, but it flows through Sairang village, which is a plain area, Sairang village is situated around 2-5 km from Aizawl. So, therefore, river Tlawng is the source of water for Aizawl.

By the way, Aizawl is located in hills and not plain. The pronunciation of the names of rivers in Mizoram makes me laugh abit.😄

@@loveall69 i think kokborok too has similarities with Chin-Kuki-Mizo language too..because when you have a common word for basic human needs like water (tui/twi) it means we are in a way related!!

Sir, Iril should be pronounced as "Eril". E means Blood in our native language. I forgot the name of the battle but after that battle, the water colour of the river turn into red due to the bloods of the warriors. And the river was called Iril after that incident because it looks like a river of blood.
