I want to add few points -
First of all Dolby Atmos is a big and technical topic but in short you are right about speaker configuration. However problem lies in Sound bar + the quality of speaker and amplifier.
You won't get true surround if you are using a source which is throwing everything from front and relying on virtualisation. If you want better surround, stick to traditional 5.1 system and ditch these gimmicky sound bars which are trying to sound fancy by mentionaing "Dolby Atmos". I have Sony Blu Ray 5.1 Home Theater and trust me, if you have separate 6 channels, it makes HUGE difference !
Next and very important thing is that, as of now we have limited titles which offer proper ATMOS track. Netflix and HS have some titles which offer ATMOS delivered via Dolby DIgital Plus using JOC, and the sound is compressed too much which causes it to lose overall depth and crispness. As of now the DD+ format which these OTT are using is having only 768kbps(too much compression which is lossy) while DD+ have capability and supports bitrate max up to 16mbps, now compare 768kbps to 16mbps! Makes sense right ?
Also in your video, you played movie from PRIME, as of now Prime doesn't have Atmos support.
Overall, go with better brands and if possible take a demo first at the store before buying blindly.

In my system you can really hear things above you clearly.
I would consider getting a zebronics one if they had the surround speakers too. That had upward firing speakers like samsung does. Atleast they are trying even tho it's still gimicky.

Don't buy, recently I had purchased 9700 but his HDMI port not working again after replacing got new 9700 but during first time Power switch ON getting smell of burning that's why same had returned.

When I play dolby atmos content from Netflix it plays for about 2 seconds (Dolby Atmos is shown in soundbar led) and then mutes itself.
