@@funnylilgalreacts Cabin in the Woods is stellar (actually a scary movie, with some funny whereas this is just funny) but it is really best after having a good amount of horror under your belt as it references pretty much all types of 70's through 2000's horror. It is interesting how comedy makes a difference when it comes to gore. There's actually far more onscreen violence in T&D than there is in TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, but one is designed to be light and fun and the other one is designed to disturb and disconcert.

This movie was genius. I thought it'd be a good movie to fall asleep to late one night and ended up entranced from beginning to end. Have rewatched it a dozen times and still love it.
Definitely a movie that only found its audience on home media and streaming. I only watched it initially because I recognised Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine from other comedic roles. For movies that play with horror tropes, the big one is probably Cabin In The Woods if Joss Whedon isn’t a dealbreaker. It has an early Chris Hemsworth role. For horror-comedy, the Evil Dead films are always worth a look. The first one is ultra-low budget and played mostly as straight horror with a lot of gore and a few three stooges references. The second one is kind of a combined remake and sequel of the first that leans a lot more into comedy, and the third movie, Army of Darkness, is pretty much straight up comedy all the way through. The series Ash vs Evil Dead follows up on one of the alternative endings to that film. Also starring Bruce Campbell is Bubba Ho-Tep, in which he plays an aging Elvis taking on an Egyptian mummy preying on the fellow residents of his nursing home, and is as absurd as it sounds. Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow from 1999 is a tribute to old Hammer horror films that is well worth your time, featuring an excellent cast and a heavy dose of dark humour. Shaun of the Dead is a loving tribute to classic zombie films wrapped around a romantic comedy, and is the first in the Cornetto Trilogy; the films are not linked narratively but share cast and creators, and feature many recurring gags and references.
Love your reaction. This is one of the key movies I look for reactions to, it's such a favorite of mine. It's hilarious, tightly written, and Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk, and Katrina Bowden do such a great job in their roles. Dale is one of my all-time favorite characters. I love the pancakes line; he never even considers he might be scary to someone, so she must hate pancakes. Their moments together always warm my heart.
I think you'd love Violent Night. It is a Christmas movie, but it flew under most people's radar when it released last year. Violent and funny. Also heartwarming.
Safety on a revolver, snicker. This was a great reaction to a fresh twist on the classic horror movie type! The misconceptions resulting from judging people by their looks alone, then escalating the reasons things are happening by these predudices, actually teach a valuble lesson under the madcap.
Tucker's my favorite character. He's not bad, he's just a little ill tempered. I mean the guy goes out for a dream vacation on his own property and some psycho college kid cuts off his bowling fingers! But he was still always willing to help Dale and Allison I've got my bowling fingers crossed for a sequel.
I had aa great time watching your reaction to this movie. I almost forgot about how good it is, it's really good fun! Love the Chemistry between Tucker and Dale
Poor Jesse seems to have gotten himself typecast. I've seen him in two other movies where he plays a character very similar to Chad. Still, he's good at it, so at least he's got work.

I'm hoping that over the Christmas season I'll be able to watch _Tucker and Dale ARE evil,_ one of the Blu-ray extras, which is a re-edit of the film from the college kids' point of view. The guy who edited it had access to the raw footage, so he could select what he wanted to tell a different story.
Love this movie its in my collection and have watched quite a few times. i feel it has made its money from Home viewing and its become a classic with the people that have seen it. wish they'd made a T&DvE 2 but i cant see that happening its been too long.
Love this movie, I watched it 5 times the week I bought it. Tyler Labine was in one of my favorite TV shows of all time, Reaper(2007-2009). It's a show about a guy, Sam(Bret Harrison), whose parents sold his soul is sold to the Devil(delightfully played by Ray Wise) and he works for Satan as a hunter of escaped souls. Sam has two best friends, Ben(Rick Gonzalez) and Bert "Sock" Wysocki(Tyler Labine) who help him out.

This is sort of off-topic but related to the intro: the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre is surprisingly one of the least bloody or gory slashers. It just gets a reputation of being gory because the horror is really effective, even without actually showing much. I definitely recommend it, but also just, none of the sequels or reboots.
Heh... this is maybe the safest possible "horror" movie you could watch around Halloween, barring maybe Rocky Horror. I enjoy the trepidation in the intro, though. See also: Cabin in the Woods.
yeah this was one of those movie gems where it was not a widely released movie, not much initial interest and somewhat considered a box office flop but through word of mouth through the years it has become a favorite especially in the horror community because of the play on horror tropes, fun humor and Dale being such a sweet misunderstood main character
Was not familiar with this one, so watched it then watched your reaction, great fun. My favorite trope was the revolver, six shot revolvers usually don't have safeties. Although a revolver with a safety might have saved Alex Baldwin a lot of grief. Also in typical Hollywood fashion it fired 15 or 20 rounds without a reload amazing! Great fun little film shot in the Calgary Alberta area. A horror comedy film you might enjoy reacting to is called 100 Bloody Acres, an Australian film that came out in 2012. A funny, bloody, raunchy little romp of movie.
I liiiiiiiterally just subscribed because you laughed at the woodchipper "Superman" death. I thought that part was absolutely hysterical, but some reactors are all "eeewwwww that's so gross," etc. Well yea all the deaths are gross, but HOW he basically flew himself in there while attacking Tucker with a PENCIL 🤦♀️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♀️
A film that always makes me laugh, the idiots die and its a horror and a love story? Plus the Lady doing the reaction has one of the most beautiful laughs I've ever heard plus she's a stunner.x Again got me laughing and smiling. Cheer's Gorgeous 🇬🇧
Super deep cut for fans of terrible horror movies and/or classic MST3K... If you go to 22:11 in the reaction and listen to the background music, you can hear Torgo's theme from Manos: The Hands of Fate. I don't know if the decision to put that in came from the director or composer, but I can't believe it was accidental.
OMG! Finally, Angela!!! A sweet, funny, warped little movie that too many people have overlooked. I can’t wait to watch the your reaction, but I got to take my kiddo to her school’s fall festival. Catch ya letter; can’t wait!! Rock on!!!
This movie is like the horror equivalent of Three's Company...everything unfolds because of misunderstandingss, and people jumping to the wrong conclusions from overhearing things out of context Also Shaun of the Dead is a hilarious and brilliant send up of zombie movies. Edgar Wright directed, imon Pegg Nick Frost. Great on its own, but like Tucker and Dale with slasher tropes, it helps if you have seen night of the living dead, Dawn of the Dead, and day of the dead to immediately get all the little in jokes, but still hilarious nonetheless
Re: I hate Chad! (repeated) Everyone does, the actor did a great job in portraying a total Chad. He's apparently been in a fair few things, but this is the only thing I remember him from clearly.
This movie is a masterpiece and should be preserved for all time.

they have been talking about a sequel to this movie for years now, i really hope we get it.
This movie had me and my Dad crying with laughter 😂
I can't think of another movie like this, though Cabin in the Woods has a similar feel
Great reaction as always, have never seen this film must have missed it when it can out but so funny.
OMG! Finally, Angela!!! A sweet, funny, warped little movie that too many people have overlooked. I can’t wait to watch the your reaction, but I got to take my kiddo to her school’s fall festival. Catch ya letter; can’t wait!! Rock on!!!
"Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" 1948 wouldn't hurt...
Soooo love your laughter!😍
Glad you took this journey!! Keep up the great reactions!
I used to love this film 😂 I loved it for Alan too after loving Firefly and Serenity.
I came across your Firefly reactions today and i was actually gonna suggest this movie for you.
This movie is so underrated, thank you for the reaction 👍
Re: I hate Chad! (repeated)
Everyone does, the actor did a great job in portraying a total Chad. He's apparently been in a fair few things, but this is the only thing I remember him from clearly.
TOTAL. CHAD.
34:28 the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree
one of my favorite movies, i wish the second act was as strong as the first but still a great movie in totality
Such a fantastic film and a great reaction! I still hold hope that a sequel will somehow happen.
