Hello maria, i’m Lía from Chile, let me thank you for showing us the amazing work you do with your voice. I love to sing music of all times, but being honest, recently i found your channel and I fell in love with Kulning technique, it’s just what we need to express ourselves to the nature!!! Sadly, i don’t know your language or how to begin doing kulning by myself here in Chile’s forests.. i wish that you could give me some recomendations please, i’m 18 years old and i would LOVE to honor your traditions! Thank you..
I only speak/read English but from what I can gather based on the music/projection training I've had is she's giving basic vocal exercises to warm up the voice and saying you should feel the vibrations in your nasal passage if you're doing it right. You have to open up the back of the throat up.. You should feel the air move freely from your diaphragm up through the throat and resonate in the nasal area. There should be no feeling of screaming or stress on the throat. Looking into basic projection techniques will help get you started if you're new to singing. =) Also, the framing your mouth to an "Eeee" shape helps one reach higher notes, "O" for lower notes. Just basic singing stuff. =) The hardest part is staying on key as this style tends to cause people to get very sharp which can sound grating. Or, if one tries to force a higher note that they haven't stretched their vocal range into, they can fall flat which is downright painful sounding. Take it easy and work your range into the higher sounds gently. Always warm up your voice first.

Det er så fantastisk! Jeg undres på, om jeg - en gammel gospelsangerinde - kan lære det? Jeg er alt og har en meget dyb stemme. Men det er jo teknik, så mon ikke? Jeg vil i hvert fald forsøge i morgen, når hjemmet er tomt og jeg kan træne uden at spekulere på, om nogen hører mig (udover dyrene). 🙂Det var en virkelig god tutorial. Jeg fik fornemmelsen af, how to. Tak !!!
Inès Nyström Renouf nei, men man må bare huske å åpne opp strupen ordentlig og synge djupt nedenfra. Som hun sier, gap opp! Man må absolutt ikke være sopran for å synge høgt og lyst. Min søster er alt og hun kan synge lysere enn meg som er sopran ;)
