Sad ending but in some sick way kinda badass….son proved his metal and defeated his own dad. Proving he will be strong enough to be the next hero

this caused me to tear a bit, the hero never knew it was his son and now his son it out there being the hero who protects the peace. I hope the hero is in heaven and found peace that at least someone is protecting the kingdom

Well at least the hero can low-key be proud in the afterlife because his son was strong enough to face him and prove to be a worthy successor….I mean knighthood or crusader times father is always one of their sons to be stronger
I was hoping the first hero would be brought back as a skeleton just so he could be reunited with his son and learn who he had been fighting this whole time.
Low key I want that as a dlc
yea , maybe he could replace his final fight and instead of an actual fight to the death its a test for his son

How is this heartwarming? The First Hero was tricked, into seeing his dead son the one thing he cared about more then anything, then his son ends up becoming a skeleton and killing his father for a king how is that heart warming in anyway?

If the game was an anime, it would be about skul learning that demon king is evil and switch to the hero side (and all the characters would’ve been unnecessarily evil

I don't think you've watched many anime..The demons/monsters being the good guys and the humans being bad is pretty common.
I really hope the First Hero be brought back as a skeleton to listen to this story from another perspective like Light from Death Note

So let me get that straight.
You introduce two big bad guys and you never get the chance to fight them? Like really never?
Its called build up man. Im sure we ll be able to in the next game

One killed the other wich ok that would habe been a good build up but to just kill the second guy for a bit of a joke is very poor handeling of the thing.
It would have been better if it was maby a seccond fase and we only didn't get to figh one of the guys but like that this is not build up because build up leads to something.
So if it would have been build up what did it build up to?
The chimera just came out of nowhere no introduction no nothing.
Again that is just really bad mishandeling of the charakters.
Especially if those charakters are the actual villains of the game.
You never fight against the Villains in Skul.
Never.
Yes you fight against very powerfull enemys who are misguided but Skuls story has no actual closure.
It is and I can not iterate this enough very very bad writing.
I mean the Comander of the Guard and the Leader of the Lab are in the story the actual two eho are responsible for evrything in the game.
They really are.
And you want to tell me you will never fight them instead you fight some underlings and the church wich also came out of completly nowhere?
I mean this makes the entire backstory irrelevant and it only serves to show how your charakter is specian and feel a bit of sympathy for the final boss and the demons but you allready kinda know it after the first two story cutscenes.
Again the whole laboratory thing feels and is essentially handeled like a side story while it is the actual main story.
I get that they maby don't want to make the story devolve into yet another one of just revenge and go with the tragedy aspect of it all but in the end the whole story just ends up in a puff of smoke.
There is no reasonable conclusion.
The Castle should have never been so early in. It should have been the finaly dungeon with the lab being maby a small side section or just a bossfight.
The temple just came out of nowhere and could have easily been put before the castle or just completly left out.
It is just a very bad executed story and you can see that the main focus was on the skul swap mechanics wich is ok but to just completly make a mess of the story.
That's probably the reason why the game just never really took that off to beguin with because nothing of truely leaves an imprint in your memory and that it just becomes another game with a really quirky yet fun mechanic but there are allready somany out there with that concept that I could easily just play another one.
And there will be no sequel.
Since the story is so badly handled the is no real conclusion and also no real room to tease about a sequel so.

I mean maby? After all half of the games story allready came out of the blue so who is to say they just don't take something comepletly unrelated.
Well there is the thing of the crystals but to be hones the story kinda makes it seem it all came and was created from the lab while at the same time saying: " oh no we have no idea where they get the crystals from"
@@davidmartin5483 they were never fighters, as a story teller why would you make the cowards strong? they should be looked down upon. A knight commander that cant even hold his own and an evil scientist unable to grasp the gravity of his experiments. In fact the bosses perfectly reflect this. The 2nd boss fight is the only boss fight where you must fight two at once and they gang up on you. Not only that but it is considered cowardly by today's society for a man to hide behind a woman much less two of them. The evil scientist fight is self explanatory as his experiment was the one to ironically kill him.
They only served to show the bad aspects of carleon and they did. The story was always about the boy and the first hero, carleon only serves as the setting. Yes racial conflict is big in the story but it was never personal for the main character. Skul's story DID get closure and it was surpassing his father as a hero and saving the continent.
Why villain's name hero?
Because he's the most impressive fighter on the human side - first among the heroes!

@@HOGuru theme wise, in both games you play are a normally evil race (orcs in orcs and men and a skeleton in hero slayer.) that figh against an even more evil human kingdom.
This is dumb. Skele-Tong should have been the Skeleton Knight Captain and have given hi skull in order to revive Skul.
Maby in a last remenant after awakening Skul tell them that the last time he saw the witch she was up ahead fighting a steange Ogre.
Than you meet the witch locked up in a cage sorrounded by humans.
Knowing fully well that non of you can defeat the Ogre in your current state she ops to pull out a Skull of a fallen Skeletonknight and give you theyr ability dous explaining how you gained the abil8ty to change your skulls and get new powers from it.
At least that would have been my take on how to handle the story at the beginning.
Uhh no? The reason why skul is the hero is because he is special, no other skeleton can switch skulls like him, not only that the demon king knew he will be the hero in the end, fix your spelling
