Hi Laura. These videos are really helpful. You are the first printmaker I have ever heard acknowledge that their method of drawing is specific to the printmaking process. I've asked a number of friends previously who are print artists how their drawing is tailored to their printmaking and they've looked perplexed.
Thank you Laura, very much looking forward to series no. 2. ! These videos and your guidance are super helpful.
I love watching your videos! I’ve been a 3D illustrator all my working life, working in paper sculpture. Your videos have got me all fired up to give Lino printing a try. Thank you for the inspiration and all the wonderful information on the process...most enjoyable!!!
Great start, I'm really looking forward to the new series. Thank you very much and best regards.
Thanks Laura! I found your work through pressing matters magazine and I thought that I would never be able to learn from you.......now the internet and this series is making it possible and I’m truly grateful. Looking forward to the rest of this series. I print by hand so I would love to make my work a lot better. Thanks again.
Thank youuuu, I'm so excited to start and follow along!!
Thanks, Laura, I have nearly completed my first multiblock Lino. 4 blocks up to now maybe 2 more, so this series 2 is very apt for me, I have made a few mistakes and I'm sure I will learn a great deal from you. your relaxed style of teaching. is very supportive Thanks Richard
Good morning Laura. Thanks for the extra detail on this video about the drawing process and where you get your inspiration for a new print. Really looking forward to the next videos and the live streaming tonight. Here's hoping your go fund me continues well. Best wishes to you and to Ben. x
Thank you, Laura. You are such a good teacher. As a 73 year old art student, I also find myself keeping little “bits and pieces” of many items (I call them my references): things that caught my eye for some reason. I also keep a small collection of texture materials (foils, netting’s, fabric, etc.) for other types of printing other than lino. Please keep producing these wonderful videos!
Wow. I'm a drawing and printmaking student, this was brilliant! So insightful and some really great tips on the design process. Thank you! Look forward to the next one!
Thank you Laura...
Good morning Laura! So nice to see the new series starting! I've got a mini lino ready so I can do a little everyday with you! :)
Fantastic - I’m also live-streaming again on Friday at 8pm
Hi Laura, gee this was very helpful. Thank you
