I have this theme in a couple of weeks. I hope it comes out as perfect as this. I decided on using large elephant 🐘 cutouts for the centerpieces. I only have the extra large mama & baby stuffed elephants that the family provided.
I think the cutouts will be just fine. If I could make my own that’s the route I would take for sure.

I started literally with nothing! I would make DIY centerpieces to save money, I would only make a small profit and would have to recruit help that would volunteer for free. I try to make each design different. The best advice I have for you is to just do it and God will bless it along the way. Thank you so much for your encouraging words!

So beautiful. And I understand about the prices. I’m a treat maker and we tend to cheat ourselves so we can pull in customers. But once you start charging what you/ your work is worth you don’t get called as much.

Hey! Thank you!!! I’m sorry I overlooked your comment. My backdrops come from a variety of places. I mainly over vinyl from Etsy. I search for the theme, look for 8x8 backdrops and get it with a pocket hole to help hanging it.

Wow thank you! This event took us 2 hours from start to finish. I normally blow my balloons up the night before and they last! I blew these particular balloons up the same day. They will last as long as the temp is good inside and you don’t expose them to too much Oxygen. Thank you!!!!!!

Very good job. Do you ever worry about your napkins. Every time I use real napkins, some of them get tossed in the trash. How do you prevent that from happening with your napkins.😂
I’ve never had that issue. Most of the time what I pick up is the same. Granted I will throw away napkins if they don’t come clean in the wash. Knock on wood 😂
I too like the clean elegant look. How do you handle it when the client wants to incorporate their own ideas and/or cheap looking decorations that just doesn't match your own aesthetics?
I haven’t had a client yet that wants to throw in their own spin. Most of my clients send me a theme or photo inspiration and we go from there. I think if they were I would politely tell them what the end result would be or give my honest opinion. When that day comes I’ll be sure to call it out.
Thanks for responding. Wanted your take on this since someone told me that a "good" decorator can still make it work. I don't necessarily agree with that statement. I think a good decorator knows when its not right.

I take all my items back with the exception of the baby name blocks. If there is some else that’s custom they keep that

FYI!! DO NOT PRICE just to get the business. The word spreads that you do it for real cheap and you get all the calls and become known as the real cheap designer but your work is fantastic. People tell me I should be tich🤑. I say I am not because I did too much for too little😳🧐!!
