Sorry for a lot of variation in voice volume and tone throughout the video, recording was a bit of a nightmare as I dealt with OBS issues that desynced every clip and added frame lag. Recommend anyone who downloads my config to check the custom.cfg file within cfg/overrides folder path, many of my commands are tied to files such as sensitivity, voice chat, text chat and a few others are located there. The misc folder is from creeproot's config and has files with commands inside that control things like lerp and net setting. The overrides folder contains files that control things like viewmodel FOV and crosshair size. Take a look inside to change/familiarize yourself with the current bindings.

I use -dxlevel 81 (remember to remove this from launch options and restart game after 1 launch with command)

Hey, I make the no hats mod (the old version not the new one that keeps the default hats) & from what I know (& what others have said in the past as well) that the performance benefit is very largely dependent on your system specs. Some people (on older hardware) will see a slight performance benefit by running it while others on more modern hardware will see very little performance benefit.

is it possible to update drive link for new configs/custom folder? watched some of your streams and it appears some stuff has changed like viewmodels, hud, and just general stuff
is there a way that i am able to move the elements on your hud? because i have no idea what "playerstatus" is. (i think its the health bar)

installed your custom and cfg folder but have 2 questions, first off how do i get rid of the player model in the bottom left? and why for my ammo is the background of it a missing texture instead of being transparent. thanks
to get rid of the playermodel in the left use cl_hud_playerclass_use_playermodel 0 and to fix the hud textures use cl_hud_minmode 1 in console. i only designed the hud for use with minmode

Hey, im having some problems with your hud, theres a missing texture where the ammo counter is supposed to be, i can see the ammo count, but theres a missing texture behind the numbers, can you help me out?
what do you use to record your game footage? I try to use shadowplay but the recording always come out sorta choppy. Not horrible, but not very pleasant either.

hello, look I have a problem with the config, I would not say a significant problem, but here goes. The problem is that before the config, the console saved all the messages that the server users sent, as well as the kills and the weapons with which these kills were executed, it also showed information if they were critical kills or without. What could cause this problem? help me pls
im not entirely sure but i believe my config has a confilter which just filters most things out of the console you should be able to find it in the misc folder, hope this helps

Masterconfig keeps turning Vsync off, hdr on, and water reflections in the ingame settings every time I boot up the game. I want these settings off, yet it keeps turning back on. How do I stop it from changing?
I want it to be these settings 24/7 without change:
Vsync: On
HDR: Off
Water Reflections: Reflect World
Shadow Detail: Low
Enable Teammate Glow Effects: Off
Turn On Color Blind Mode: Off
Disable Sprays: Off
I was lagging a bit in game after copy and pasting your custom files into mine.
What to do about that?
if youre talking specifically about your files in the custom folder, delete the cache files and play for a bit so the game creates fresh ones, hope this helps
From the the thumbnail I got the idea that the Kunai increases your FPS everytime you backstab lol
yo i really wanna use 70 viewmodel fov on pyro but i cant for some reason it automatically saves to your 110 default and it feels really uncomfy for me, do you know how to fix this?
edit: i realised how to change it all i had to do was go to the cfg folder open pyro on notepad and changed the viewmodel, tysm for the settings btw i love the low lighting!
i have been playing tf2 almost 7 years and its poorly optimized., now i have a mid-high rtx 3060 i7 10700 16 gb of ram etc and with all in ultra/very high runs 90 fps in like big fights lmao.

most if not all of the advanced settings inside a file called settings.cfg with the file path C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\cfg\overrides

the thing is with master config it changes the spys lerp to 30.3 and when i change it to 15.2 it still remains 30.3?
You need 15.2 lerp settings in your spy.cfg

either check the class cfg files inside of cfg/overrides and change the value on r_drawviewmodels to 1 or delete the compviewmodels.vpk file inside the custom folder

Didn't notice i got the name wrong in the video, the explosion effect I use im pretty sure is "eotl_pyro_pool_explosion_flash"
I believe it's "electrocuted_red_flash", I've just tested it rn
why is there a a file called "user.scr"aka a screen saver alot of viruses have that same .scr thing so ima delete it
just googled it but thats what stores the data for the advanced options in tf2, no need to worry
What to do if the voice chat is missing?
inside the overrides folder there is a file called custom.cfg. inside there is a command called voice_enable. voice enable 1 reenables voice chat, voice enable 0 disables it.

This would be so useful if TF2 even booted in the first place... In case anyone sees this, yes I tried verifying the files, switched install location, reinstalled bunch of times. I don't know anymore... GPU's AMD Athlon APU 5150
this depends on a hella lot of factors on what could be wrong but i assume you tried installing the comfig and it doesnt work. if it aint the problem just skip the first step.
1 remove the entirety of the comfig of the custom folder (go to library > right click tf2 > go to properties > local files > Browse > Tf > custom) remove any modules of comfig and the cache files or els it wont work.
2 Turn off steam cloud (go to library > right click tf2 > go to properties > uncheck steam cloud)
3 Next you are removing your entire CFG folder save any sensetivity settings or anythings els important (right click tf2 > go to properties > local files > Browse > Tf > left then right click cfg folder > click delete)
4 then verivy your game files.
5 go to your launch options which is under steam cloud which should be unchecked and copy and paste anything thats in there into atext file and remove it from the launch options.
this in practise and theory should purge the cfg settings and all of commands that it uses in there making your game go back to its default settings. making your game playable
though if your stil having issues or want to ask something hmu Cpt Fluffy#2290 on discord or steamcommunity.com/id/FatPepega/ on steam either work fine
If you havent tried it already then try manually deleting the TF2 file directory by going into steam, right click properties for tf2, go to local files, browse local files. Once youre in click "common" in the file path uptop and manually delete the 'Team Fortress 2' folder. Then after that verify the integrity of the files. I used to get this issue a few times like 3 years back, restarting your PC might help too as it did for me one time.
@@floffeh2031 i literally have no custom files and haven't played tf2 so no steam cloud assets. As I said, I tried verifying the game files a bunch of times already
@@snaetos I did both of them, has to wait 3 hours again for the 20gb to re-download and guess what. Nothing again. The game doesn't even show, steam says it's "running" but then it stops without any window or anything popping up for atleast a single frame
@@Nykomil you aren't reading and then doing what is i gave a detailed explanation on. Aswell remoning the entire tf is about as ape as can get. Follow the instructions. If you dont have anything in custom then SKIP the first step continue following the rest.
