Bruh you saved me I was honestly so confused with the ping system as I just bought a pc straight away to play dayz and this helped a lot. Also I’m not sure if you already have but you should make a video on how to get better fps as mine is low and I have no clue why as I have a good pc and really good ping

I recommend Livonia to all begginers, map feels a bit smaller. its WAY easier and takes way less time to get between different loot tier zones. land-nav is so much more easier to do, and I feel like the loot spawns are even better. even on official servers. but I do not reccomend namalsk for you noobies, that map is basically an entire different game lol... when you find food you have to start a fire and thaw it out... also the entire time you are traversing you are freezing to death and need to be warmed up by a fire everywhere you go... some servers are nice enough to spawn you in with a lighter or box of matches.
I’m on Xbox and I joined a server and I forgot to favorite it and now I don’t have anything I grinding to where I had a Ak 74 nvgs and so much other stuff dude I’m so pissed cause I can’t get back on that server
Small but helpful tip, sometimes when looking for servers don't type the name in super fast and all the way, for some reason the game needs time to understand what you are searching so if it doesn't pop up it is probably because you did it too fast. My advice is type and then stop till servers pop up and then continue slowly adding more of the name until it finds it. Hope that made sense :)
Thanks for the vid! A warning for most, I joined an official server with battle eye and been shot through walls with full gear than I can count... slot of cheaters, will try the community servers
Official servers can be at times bad with cheater's, it has gotten slightly better. But there is no way to report cheaters to battle without leaving the game. Community servers are nice in the way that you can just report stuff in the servers discord and an admin will usually deal with it pretty quickly. Glad you found the video useful 🙂.
i was just wondering,can i use mods in dayz and play on official or community servers? If i subscribe to mods on steam and try to play on a server will i get banned or will it work? Do you know how that works?
Personally for me I prefer community servers especially the hardcore type as I’m a fan of immersive as it can get. I do occasionally play 2-3x loot servers just for PVP reasons. Although I am on Xbox and majority of the servers are TP instead of FP, which personally for me I prefer FP but I know on console TP is really popular as for the obvious advantages. I wish the Devs would update it and give an indication what they’re playing wether it’s FP or both that way it’s much easier to find a preference instead of hoping in and out to find a server that matches what style anyone wanna play.
Community servers don't have anything to do with the Devs, it's up to the servers owners to be transparent with the players on their server. Usually server titles will say if it's 1pp or 3pp (at least that's how it is on pc) or it will say in the server Discord. You can also just play in 1pp on servers that have 3pp. I used to play on Xbox and played on a 1pp whitelist server called NCRP worth checking out if it's still around.
I’m wondering, every time I join an official server it’s restarting, I want to put a base down but what’s the point it if just gets wiped ? From wut I’m seeing I have to join a community/custom server to keep my base ?
Every single server on DayZ official and community have restarts every couple of hours to basically clean up the server (get rid of bodies, ruined loot ect) they don't affect bases

Vanilla just means the game, how the Devs made it. For example, official servers are vanilla. You can't play modded servers or any servers for that matter without owning the base game.

Hello i ticked the enable box on battle eye but it still doesnt let me saying i have to enable it even if i already did ive tried everything from restarting my game to even going online to see if i have to download the battle eye software but nothing is working, any tips?

Community server's can have mods official server's don't have mods. you can't jump from server to server with one character on community server's like you can on official, you have a different character for each community server. More importantly don't take it seriously just have some fun it's only pixels 🙂

Not sure dude, when selecting a server are you clicking on 'set up, DLCs, mods and join'? I personally have never had any issues like what your describing
When I type in Takistan or Deadfall, I cannot find anything, it is so frustrating, why? The deadfall mode downloaded, Takistan mode - I don't know how to download. How to play there?
Download and use LaunchZ or the DZSA launchers to load modded servers. The Official DayZ launcher for me personally doesn't load any servers anymore for some reason, not sure why so maybe you're having the same issue as me.
While your in a server? The red chain link is when you are about to be disconnected from bad connection or if it's the square looking thing it means the server is struggling
It forces you to learn faster. Learn from each death, what could you do differently each time that could have prevented you from being sent back to the coast ect. If you don't learn like that do what is best for you. The trick is to start moving in land as soon as possible where the players are spread out more and loot is more available.
@@urlame1447 experimental is just experimental servers when they are testing a new patch before it gets released to stable. Regular DayZ is just the latest stable patch that the game is currently running.
So i want a pve server does that mean i wont be killed by other players,because that would be easy for me to learn because i am slow with my controls as i get older
Pve = player Vs environment PvP = player Vs player Over servers don't allow players to kill other players, you are free to roam the map safe from other players (unless they have dedicated zones for PvP)

The launcher will automatically download mods that you don't have when joining a server that has mods you don't already have downloaded. The Livonia dlc is made by Bohemia which is why you have to pay for it, so you will need to buy the Livonia dlc if you want to play on Livonia. The other maps like, Namalsk, Deer Isle, Takistan, Pripyat, Lux ect are all community made maps by modders which is why they are free to play. No you don't need to download DayZ tools that's used for making mods.
I did everything you explained, I even tried to play on Official servers to Learn, Well they have NO PVE and I am not one for PVP, its kind of a waste of time for me, and why build and try so hard to survive! and KOS a holes.. the mod ones well they take forever to DL the mods, only to find I can not get in anyway. It says I am missing mods, but all had DL. this is why me and my friends stopped playing, and Now after a day to DL the game, and some mods, NOPE. OFFICIAL Servers do not have any PVE ones.. Devs WTF!!
There are 100s of pve server's in the community tab. DayZ isn't a pve game dude so there won't be any pve official servers. As for how quickly the game and mods download that's your internet speed dude.
There have been some issues with the vanilla launcher atm, could be related to that. Refresh, change filters in search and if you're trying to join a community server try direct connecting with server IP.
If you playing on community server's they usually have the discord in the server title or in an admin message that pops up in game while your playing with the discord info
@@BeanzYT yeah it looks like code.. it will say check discord for rules but I can't find it anywhere.. I'll keep trying though. There's like 20 sights that say DayZ discord
I am new player, and i can't find this server so i don't give thumbs up. Don't even know how to connect to this server, would love to try. I found discord and in there You can't even text for help in discord because only V.I.P can text there and it cost like 40 $ to 100 $.

Maybe one day, Console can one day get Texas servers, I have also found that servers in LA and NY are most hostile, Michigan is chill tho

Official server's where down this morning. The Devs where removing the bonfires that where in game for Walpurgis.

The servers might not be up anymore dude which is why you can't get on them

I’m joining official servers and going to big areas but I rarely find other people and if I do they almost never have a mic
Chernarus is a big map and 60 player cap isn't enough imo

Everything you need is in the vanilla launcher, if you want to play on modded servers or maps the launcher will download the mods for you

Why do you recommend high pop server, isnt it harder to find loot? all places close to spawn are always looted so i end up dying to often:(

I did everything you explained, I even tried to play on Official servers to Learn, Well they have NO PVE and I am not one for PVP, its kind of a waste of time for me, and why build and try so hard to survive! and KOS a holes.. the mod ones well they take forever to DL the mods, only to find I can not get in anyway. It says I am missing mods, but all had DL. this is why me and my friends stopped playing, and Now after a day to DL the game, and some mods, NOPE. OFFICIAL Servers do not have any PVE ones.. Devs WTF!!
There are 100s of pve server's in the community tab. DayZ isn't a pve game dude so there won't be any pve official servers. As for how quickly the game and mods download that's your internet speed dude.
community servers for me are all 200 plus ping and i have top tier internet i am from the uk like you i guess?? can you help
There have been some issues with the vanilla launcher atm, could be related to that. Refresh, change filters in search and if you're trying to join a community server try direct connecting with server IP.

this is bs im in the US and the best ping i can get is like 80 to a hundred. theres only like 5 servers with good enough connection for me to play.
80 to 100 isn't bad most servers I play on are around that. I have played on servers with 200+ ping and it was ok.

If you playing on community server's they usually have the discord in the server title or in an admin message that pops up in game while your playing with the discord info
@@BeanzYT yeah it looks like code.. it will say check discord for rules but I can't find it anywhere.. I'll keep trying though. There's like 20 sights that say DayZ discord

I am new player, and i can't find this server so i don't give thumbs up. Don't even know how to connect to this server, would love to try. I found discord and in there You can't even text for help in discord because only V.I.P can text there and it cost like 40 $ to 100 $.
